you cannot get away with the "Brenda from Eden Prairie" bit when my stepmom Brenda is upstairs marathoning lmn as we speak, in our home less than an hour's drive from Eden prairie...... a jump scare I tell you
You need to watch daddy's perfect little girl!! I watched it a couple weeks ago and I ended up laughing so hard I was crying in the end. It's beyond ridiculous and the look on the dad's face at the end as she cry's hysterically asking if she is still daddy's perfect little girl lol it's almost perfection. I actually came home and rewatched it so I could catch the first 20 mins that I missed at the hospital
"you better not be fooling with that dead body back there! So help me I'll turn this RV around young man, and you'll be so grounded for shooting my sketchy boyfriend"
I don't even know how I'll start writing this video because all the movies are so stylistically and thematically identical that they're all blending into one big Wrong mush in my brain
ive rewatched this vid a few times and something hilarious i just caught - at 15:42, the lifetime movie marathon promotion in the bottom left corner advertises "mommy madness all weekend"
22:59 "The thing going on with Denise feels like it's in a separate movie." 23:18 "It's not really explained what his relationship with them is." No worries, Jane, a Lifetime superfan is here to help! Mommy's Little Con Artist is actually the SEQUEL to another David DeCoteau Lifetime movie entitled "Deceived by My Mother-in-Law" where Denise is the therapist to a single mother who Christine is conning alongside fellow con artist James (the guy whose relation to them you were confused about) to scam her. Denise eventually enlists her ex-husband to investigate the pair after she grows suspicious, which of course, leads to him getting killed by James. The movie ends with both Christine and James escaping after they're exposed, and so, in Mommy's Deadly Con Artist, Denise is investigating Christine in an attempt to bring her to justice. Why she waits until the last act to warn Christine's latest victims, I have no idea. Hope you don't take this as a diss; I completely see how this didn't register. Mommy's Deadly Con Artist has done virtually nothing to advertise itself as a sequel, so anyone going into it blind would have no choice but to assume it's a standalone piece.
Wow, thank you!! This was vital context that Lifetime made no attempt to give me. I've definitely scrolled past Deceived by My Mother in Law on the LMC and seen that it also stars Jackee Harry but had no idea they were related lol. This movie should've been called Deceived by My Fiancée to at least let well-seasoned viewers know that they're in the same series!
@@jane-mulcahy Definitely, Lifetime should've done something to show this was a follow-up movie. Also, regarding the bizarre title, I think the original title was Mommy's LITTLE Con Artist, which I think they should've stuck with because it makes a lot more sense (or at least runs off the tongue more smoothly lol)
Eric Roberts shows up in EVERYTHING. He’s in the Doctor Who TV movie, Rihanna’s ‘bitch better have my money’ the ‘Mr. Brightside’ music video… he is everywhere, when you least expect it, when you really expect it…
Yesterday i was literally watching "Mommy Be Mine" and thinking, "hm, maybe I should ask the bad movie lady to watch it on her next video!" If the title isn't enough of a selling point, it's also made by Marvista Entertainment, of "Christmas Mail" fame.
I don’t know what would be a funnier follow up.. all the best friend movies or all the “I killed” movies… but I so wanna know about that there “I killed my BFF” movie.
There's really not much to know, it's just like 2 women giving birth at the hospital become friends and then basically both turn out to be crazy and obsessive? The fun comes mostly from the weird acting and trying to figure out which one is going to end up killing the other one. Also Beck from Victorious is in it
@@jane-mulcahy aww, that’s disappointing. I was hoping it would be like the one with Shannon Doherty singing in a band and her “best friend” is like… someone she didn’t like in middle school, so she plans to take over Shannon’s band and murder her. That movie is the height of camp, second only to the infamous “Mother may I sleep with danger”

I am so happy to discover the unique brand of weirdness and shlock that is the Lifetime movie channel and I am delighted by how much you enjoy being an expert in them and how much you enjoy talking about them.

YES, give us the daddies!! My favorite Lifetime movie is the one from the 90's where the pilot has the two different families and was about to marry a third woman with the perfect name: "Frequent Flyer".
@Jane Mulcahy sorry, I looked it up and it wasn't from Lifetime, it was just a made for TV movie that should have been on Lifetime. Maybe they would rerun it after the initial release.
I watched a Drew Gooden video about a low budget Christmas movie and that also featured a car inside a white void. You'd think they'd catch this during editing.
I got roped into watching the movie Ma once which also has a munchausen by proxy plot line and I think came out around that same time that Mommy would never hurt you did.
I mean I think the reason it's more like sharp objects than the act is the fact that's about the older daughter returning to her childhood home and finding this out about her mom poisoning her younger sister. That's a huge part of sharp objects. But I agree that it seems that's where the similarities end.

I dont think you understand im obsessed with you and your channel please never stop
what a delightful watch
real ones knew this video was coming from the letterboxd reviews lmao. well, i got my baja blast ready for what is sure to be a good time
I always wonder if anyone's keeping track of the letterboxd to video action!
@@jane-mulcahy oh i am, every time i see you log a "the wrong" movie, i get excited
your videos are so comforting and hilarious thank you for your services 🙌
i'm high and i thought the girl on the left in the thumbnail was supposed to be you at first and i was like "whoa wtf did she do she looks so different" like i was trying SO hard to make my eyes recognize her as you and then when i actually started the video i was like oh ok so i'm an idiot that's what's going on here
brb paying a plastic surgeon 100000000 dollars to make me look like Elena from Remember Me Mommy
@@jane-mulcahy just stay away from fireplaces
Deeply disappointed that you didn't cover Killing Mommy. It's from the screenwriter of The Toxic Avenger 4!
I realize I only covered the ones that were on the Lifetime Movie Club (I just checked and they've ALREADY added another one) so It'll have to go in part 2!
@@jane-mulcahy Always excited for more Lifetime movie content. If you follow through on the Lifetime Daddy video, I'd also recommend Killing Daddy, from the same writer. Maybe they wanted it to be a series like the Wrongs or something.
i like that in the corner it says mommy madness all week like lifetime had enough mommy madness to do that
The lady with the bat lmao "more like the wrong mommy." Also your eyeshadow is amazing!
I found your channel via these lifetime vids and I would love to see you do your own sort of awards thing I think it'd be hilarious
i absolutely live for your videos
I am so glad I found your channel somewhere in the past 9 months from your red white and blue video and started watching your other content and watched this BECAUSE I have also read the Wikipedia page for the Asylum and was weirded out by the claim that Mommy Would Never Hurt You was a mockbuster of Sharp Objects, because Sharp Objects is a very odd property to make a mockbuster of
i love how all these movies sound like something from 30 rock
Finally a new video for me to watch a dozen times over lol. After this lifetime video series I started quietly watching lifetime movies in my past time and my family is so over babyknappings, cheerleaders, and bad acting oddly all set in Washington
The mom movie I keep going back to is always mother knows best from the late 90s where a mom hires a hitman to take out her daughters husband.
1:37 - I sometimes randomly call out for "mommy" when I'm at a loss for what to do, as well.
this video is the pinnacle of my life
PLEASE tell me you’re going to watch all of the “Perfect” movies. It’s very much like this where it seems like someone at lifetime just thought “the perfect (blank)” made an eye catching title. In particular, I remember being really preoccupied with The Perfect Assistant
I would absolutely love to see your commentary on Troma Entertainment
Remember Me Mommy has one of the saddest climaxes I’ve ever seen in a Lifetime Movie. And they do the jump months later to show the main character is fine but there is no way in hell she would be fine
as i predicted, it was a good video! and also i will watch the wrong video no matter how long it is, this is a post quinton reviews world, length means NOTHING
omg you can't just tease us with "bigfoot vs. db cooper" - i hope a video is coming on that one, lol
Haha I would, but Redlettermedia actually already did a spotlight episode on Bigfoot vs. DB Cooper, you should check it out!
Are you wearing an Elisabeth Shue sweater? It looks like a scene from Adventures in Babysitting
lol no it's from Night of the Comet (1984). Similar era, similar hair!
@@jane-mulcahy Damn! You would have loved USA's Up All Night
