What was it like in this whole episode of The National Lottery Jet Set when Fathers4Justice invaded the lottery studio? It looks like that all three draws were seemingly held towards the end of the episode rather than the Thunderball draw being held between the first round and head to head round. I take it that they had to cancel the final higher or lower round due to the protest causing a delay?
It didn't put an immediate end to having a studio audience though, it continued throughout the rest of the Jet Set series, and there was a studio audience again on The National Lottery Live during the 2013 revamp.
I've been trying to decipher what them Fathers4Justice protesters were chanting in their slogans; I managed to interpret that the start from the male protester was: "Law is the jackpot! Law is the jackpot! Fathers4Justice! Don't play! Don't play it! Don't play it! Fathers4Justice! Don't play family law lotto! Fathers4Justice! Don't play family law lotto! Do not gamble! Family law lotto!" And what I interpreted from Nadine O'Connor, the first female Fathers4Judtice protester was: "Family Law Lotto, next time it could've been you!"
Now i've always wondered who invited Fathers4Justice to cause an slight havoc in the studio, especially when the female protester showed up? Really an wild night for sure, and that really happened live 10 days before i was born! :0
I recorded it either directly into a home digital recorder from broadcast or replayed it onto the digital recorder from a TiVo drive. I can’t remember at what stage Virgin Media was in its technology back in 2006.
@ short clips like this and the Doctor Who trailers I transferred from the recorder drive to a DVD-Ram disc to archive them. Now I rip the files from the disc to my computer. I can’t remember the file type, some kind of mpeg, but they need converting before I can watch and edit them.
Hello again. I use MPEG Streamclip to convert ripped DVD files into a format I can edit. Then I import into Final Cut Pro (FCP) to resize, add captions and do basic clean up. I’ve been experimenting with Topaz AI upscaling to improve fuzzy older clips. However I don’t think I used it on this lottery clip.

The thunderball draw was finished before that
@@rowlandslanetheslackerplot7698 Yeah I know that, all I need to know is what the rest of the show was like!
Eamonn being really brave there haha, not surprisingly that F4J stunt put an end to the draws having a studio audience.

Remember this like it was yesterday. Wasn’t the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens starting straight after this?
Yes that’s right. Maximum publicity for the protesters.

Some high quality ad-libbing from Alan there after Eamon did a runner 😂
How did you manage to get a high-quality version for 2006?
I recorded it either directly into a home digital recorder from broadcast or replayed it onto the digital recorder from a TiVo drive. I can’t remember at what stage Virgin Media was in its technology back in 2006.
@ and then did you record it to dvd or copy the hard drive to your pc after?

@ perfect, what software do you use to edit?
