It was good enough that Matt asked me to do it for the rest of the tour ( which was only a week ). Either way, it was fun and it was something I've always wanted to do. I should have some more footage up soon!
How the hell is he only a drum tech. This is so good, honestly. If he likes being a drum tech, then I guess that's fine. I wonder if OM&M even gave him a chance to do this...he deserves it.
I've known about this guy since he was the drum tech for of mice & men such a humble guy and incredible drummer. He has a beautiful family and my wife is obsessed with his wife's tattoo work he did a phenomenal job on this set. No matter the mistakes he made he got right back on tempo and absolutely killed it what an honor to get Matt's approval.
Friggin' Rad, honestly how many drummers will stand aside and let a homie play a signature song for them during a show. Matt is da man. and the dude pretty much nailed it, all the key parts and rolls were spiffy.

Just because August Burns Red screams in all of their songs doesn't mean they're evil, and doesn't encourage any violence towards anybody. Take the time to actually read their lyrics before you start criticizing these awesome musicians. They're actually really good people.

The aux kit is at the side of the stage because it's been taken away for their "encore" once the drum solo is finished. Matt is just playing at the end of the video on the snare at some parts, like when he drops his stick, Matt fills it in on the snare.
This guy did amazing. Somebody was clearly playing with him though at the end. The random cymbal hit at 2:45 was funny. This guys for real though, fantastic job.
I heard he was supposed to be doing a side project with some of the guys from DGD when there were rumors of them breaking up . . . but who knows! He plays for Savior Custom Drums and has a sick ass kit!

I believe he was also starting a band with the guys from Lower Definition (since they are all in the same area) and starting a little thing up. If you haven't heard of that band, check them out for sure
Earlier I said that Lionel Robinson is a better drummer than the guy he techs for, and just to confirm what I already know.. Adam Gray himself said that Lionel Robinson is quote "Literally probably the best drummer I've ever toured with."

Actually, The "drum tracks" is actually matt playing along with me on the aux kit set up in front of the stage that is always there at the end of the set for the drum solo. Sorry buddy ;)
There were Zero tracks. If you've seen any of the drum solo's Matt does, he has an aux kit that sits on the side. At the last part of the song Mason ( drum tech ) pulls it back out and Matt jams along with me.
