@@Joel-_-l Not really, it depends on the amount of cash you get and the hours you decide to hop on the game. The more cash you get, the higher chance you will get hunt squad.
I've had both happen 😂 I tend to play solo so I can go an entire match without encountering anyone but I've also been rushed by full squads right after spawning. I'm going to be honest though, I preferred the six-man squads to the four-man. The ability to recruit more people seemed to keep things more chill and ever since they switched it to four-man team cap everything has seemed a lot sweatier and more toxic since there is a lot less leeway.
For sure one I'm keeping an eye on. The STALKER atmosphere is a big pull. Also seems like it's being developed by some very competent devs that are focusing on making a solid shooter with a good gameplay loop.
I have watched the gameplay of Drewski and I loved the Game, even TH-camr name BlueDrake42 is also working on this. And now you are also talking about this game, after watching your review I can assure that this game is going to come out good.
I'm really sad that DMZ missed the mark in some areas cause much like you I was really excited for it as well and this game looks really really interesting and I'm hoping it delivers since so far everything that they've shown looks good
DMZ wasn’t a fail at all. It’s a great mode to play with friends in the evening. Getting missions done together while coming across random players and deciding whether to engage (at either close or far ranged) or not. No gun and running and a more tactical approach. Saying that, it’s been absolutely ruined by this zombie nonsense. Depends what you’re into I guess.
Biggest thing: make loot IMPORTANT, make it feel VALUABLE. You can make the game as casual it needs to be to some extent, as long as player need to get out with the good stuff, and they value the armor, weapons, and other items they looted. Finding the balance between the lack of depth that Cycle: Frontier had vs. Tarkov’s incredible immersion and vast maps, etc. Someone will get it right eventually, but until then, Tarkov for me 😎
This game really interest me hope they can get it right ! I was a big EFT player but don’t play anymore as the game is constantly getting wiped with no release in sight.
I think if the game isnt in depth enough and there's not enough progression it will just be a PVP simulator on different areas of the map. The reason tarkov is so successful is because of how deep the knowledge can go, streamers with 10k hours can learn something new about the game their career was launched on. If this is too pvp focused what is the difference between this and an arena shooter, or even DMZ. The whole point of extraction shooters is risking good gear for a reward, whether that is finishing quests to be able to purchase better gear, killing other players to finish a quest for XP (which will in turn raise your level so you can get a trader to a better level), or even the reward of the other players gear. This is what brings intensity, not necessarily other players you encounter, yes that does bring intensity but if you don't risk really losing anything (DMZ) then its not very intense IMO. This game can be successful but if the game doesnt make players want to keep engaging for weeks after the game launches i.e if progression will inevitably come to a hault then the game will be abandoned by the more hardcore player base. Tarkov has this problem right now and instead of finding a solution to wiping the game someone needs to make a game loop that doesnt require wiping, some system of gameplay that sends players back to the start, maybe they can keep something that gives benefits (a documents case in tarkov allows you to make money even if you die in raid). This idea of a gameplay loop needs to be explored more because this problem plagues tarkov 2 months after every wipe.
I’m not sure about the vE of the PvPvE game. Also, good luck making me play some sort of goon/anomaly. On the comparison to Tarkov, any game making more than 100fps and clicking when you click is already better in my book.
Story-wise this game seems to find a nice middle ground between SCP and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. Gameplay-wise I'm hoping it will handle more like the current Modern Warfare 2 but without the more annoying issues of weapon customization and the other annoyances like excessive visual noise. The bunny hopping around corners concerns me a bit (twitchy, bunny hopping yy-ers are so incredibly annoying) but if they balance it out by having it consume more stamina and/or affect accuracy then I think it would be great.
Will it though? Can't even get it on steam yet, has no release date, store page doesnt even indicate where you can play it to help develop it because they arent doing early on steam.
DMZ is imo the best extraction shooter to play rn besides maybe Tarkov. The variety and progression alone make it worth playing dozens of hours. This game looks cool but also very repetitive like hunt showdown where your goal is the exact same every round.
The rpg elements make it almost an instant no from me. The cool thing about hunt is that everyone is, at some point, a baseline free hunter. They're just implementing "win more" mechanics, as in tarkov
i really like the footage already, gun gameplay gonna be lit. The monsters are a cool addition otherwise it just would be tarkov so i think thats a good thing. now that the cycle is gone and i also dont really have that much time to play tarkov im really excited for this game, other than that we dont have that much good extraction shooters
Hunt showdown has a boss you have to fight in order to extract with a bounty you get and get money. For this game, getting the artifacts, as this games version of a bounty, in different areas on the map would be awesome. I don’t know how they plan to go about this but I’m excited.
Still waiting for DMZ/Extration shooter for consoles, sunk hours and money into DMZ to hear its shutting down. So mad need a dmz extration shooter for Xbox (hopefully) but I do have ps5 too worst case.
Single player tarkov is precisely for people that dont have thousands of hours to spend on a dime, theres like no force wipe, its casual, and you will never encounter another real player, just ai mimiking players and no hackers
Too add to the realism to not just this game but others as well is when your healing dont have a healing bar / indicator just leave it as when you heal and the animation of your player is done healing thats it. I feel like a simple thing like that will make it feel and play more realistic and adrenaline fuled mixed with a lil bit of worriesnes and timing if you know what i mean. I just feel like if the overall game is a hardcore tac shooter make it completely that. Ik its a stupid thing to kinda rant about but i just feel that if that chage happens it would make the gameplay and feel for the players and the viewers 10 × better.

Not seeing someone for an entire raid is useful for people that think about RPG elements. Just like with tarkov, sometimes you need a specific item, or to finish a task and you cant be bothered with doing pvp for a moment. Games like Tarkov, DayZ, Arma DayZ or any online survival game should not aim to go full CS 1.6 in terms of pvp. I personally like it like that and I think if you always want pvp, DMZ is the worst mode on CoD for that.

The whole point of an extraction shooter was supposed to be for the casuals. If you wanted to sweat just play regular warzone or battlefield right? That's sort of what killed DMZ. Everyone is so toxic & some of the missions were too hard for solos to run through & now with there only being 4 man squads, it's nearly impossible to get the 7 operators on a heli mission done. I mean really it boils down to a moral issue. Do you let them do their missions or attack them. Most will attack & that's what I find odd. If you really need the bots as a distraction then idk I guess it doesn't matter because the DMZ is officially dead now. After the update it's unplayable. Every round is super laggy & every single lobby has a small eggplant cheater.
but i gotta be honest man i really am waiting for a game that i have in my dreams / mind that when it does come out it will be one of them games that lasts for 20 years plus and keeps jobs in the gaming indistry for a long while . but i must say for me i want the game to have simple enough actions to make it not such a pai in the ass to do every little thing the way tarkov does because i want all the stuff tarkov offers but every part of it shoudl be optimized for gaming example putting a gun together while also buying the paertrs i shoudlnt have to dbl check did i buy the one that fits my gun 3 different times i also shouldnt have to buy a gun and have extra parts because the game made me buy the whole thing with out me knowing i chose that option and so i put the parts i have for the gun on it and realize ok so now i have 11 parts from that other gun that i dont need at all the game shoudl take into consideration the stuff i have waiting to go on to that gun unless i chose to buy the whole gun . but i also want an open world aspect to the game but in totally different parts fo the world one is in the woods and swap lands one is in the snowy areas one in the open feilds and mmountain areas with old rock house foundations and stuff but also i want a few different insides building areas maybe a big sewer system like area maybe a full size highrise with all 56 floors to explore but one big thing i really want to be apart fo this game beyond the nromas liek crossplat play and save i want nft cosmetics because i want gaming to go to a place like as if csgo is the base version and all other games have skins that i coudl use in this game i want to buy the gun bundle thing a rainbow unicorn o rwhatever and then because i bought this in this game 7 other games that use nft i can import that gun model into that ghame but only use it on the same gun exampel if its a m4 gun model then i can use it for running that m4 in this game but also the same thing for cosmetis on my avatar/class/ character but it coudl lead to using our own character models and thats what its really about i want to be abel to maybe sell some stuff ive bought form 20 years ago because thwem skins /cosmetics are rare now and i dont really use them anyway so why not sell the nft to someone who likes them and there is much more to this if you think abotu it btu anyway peopel coudl make a living just playign games even if they werent streaming makes the industry bigger .

DMZ isn’t a real extraction game, it’s a casual arcade style sandbox team deathmatch and battle royal mixed together with some extraction-like elements. The missions and items are pointless. Overall, it’s just another COD game mode at the end of the day that turned into a fan boy cult.

Also depends heavily on the map you choose. If you wanna fight players, it's pretty easy to choose a map to find them on.

Until stalker 2 comes out there’s a free standalone mod for the previous stalker. It’s called stalker anomaly, highly recommend it.
