I love your playing! I was wondering are you doing clawhammer with a lot of drop and double thumbing techniques or is that a Pete segar style? Or possibly a combination of all? I appreciate what you do! God bless.
I began ages ago with Seeger's up picking style, then switched to what then was called frailing--down stroke with no drop thumb and little double thumbing. It's not the "official" clawhammer style with mostly single notes and lots of drone notes, but is more chordy. See my other reply about how I use HOs, POs, alt versions of those, etc. to get more melody notes in.
