I think it would be cool to let Cumans make Kipchaks in ranges in Imperial Age. If buffing them is too risky, perhaps this is a good way to re-use Cuman Mercenaries.

If I'm cumans i tend to only do the 2nd TC if it can be touching gold and wood. That way i don't really have to worry about defensive military, you know?
Hey T90, what do you think about regional skins for villagers and generic military units like Archers, Knights, etc.? .. some civs could even get improved archers instead of crossbow/arbalest and so on.

Civ bonus idea: You can make any building an age early, but the buildings don't do anything until you age up. Edit: Thinking about it more, that bonus would not a good complexity to depth exchange.

Age of empires 2 is best when pop is caped at 100 imo.. Cause all the best and most fun games I've seen were ones with lots of micro.. and castle age is the last fun age to play in - it's just beautiful to look at.. Later in imp + 200 pop, games just get unwieldy, chaotic and untrackable - trash wars is the most boring part of the match to look at.

I still really dont like the second TC, the civ is designed to be aggressive with the early ram but the second tc tells you to turtle
