Great comment buddy love to hear i have helped you this is my goal and my passion to improve anybody's game this means they enjoy the game more and become more competitive. Cheers Dynamite Dave..
Good video. I like the Gary Anderson stance, feels more natural, and at least I feel that the arm can be more relaxed when throwing. But as you say it is not so easy to be consistent when you have to balance on pretty much only the front leg. I haven't watched the Phil Taylor dvd, do you recommend buying it?
Hi Fred It all depends on you if you feel coumphtubly confident about your stance then that's great just like if your happy with your level of play and it severs you well amongst those you play with. But if your looking and hungry for improvement then its worth trying something new just look at Peter Wright he changes his equipment and seeks new techniques all the time he continually tries to gain that tiny little advantage it takes to get to that next level. All i ever want is to help you get there to weather its getting you from throwing 26 and 41 to 60 and 100s or 9 darts at double 16 to regular ton plus finish's i will help all the way and i will be as proud of your achievements as you are. and yes i would get the Phil Taylor video have a mooch round on here im sure you'll find it and then it wont cost you anything. And welcome to the channel
Thanks Dave! Really appreciate it! I agree its better to try new things and by doing that also keep on improving. I have tried a lot of tweaks of my stance (and still do). I'm actually standing about 45 deg with my front foot to the oche, so not straight on as Gary, but I do put almost all weight on the front leg so at times it can feel a bit unstable. Anyway, I will continue experimenting :) Great to get new input and ideas from your videos! I'll look around for that dvd :)
Great videos, Dave. One small question: the center line you point out with your hand at 5:43 seems to be more over your ankle instead of the ball of your toe, which seems more correct to me if I'm standing side-on, perpendicular to the oche. When I have my ankle in the center of the oche, then my shoulder and elbow are lined up with the 20-bull-3 line on the board. Doesn't that make more sense than putting my toe in the center and consequently having my shoulder off-center after I turn my foot? Thanks!
Yep your bang on its the centre of your body going through your ankle bone up your leg through your body and shoulder. some people don't stand up straight and i find that it is better to get them to align there foot / big toe then turn in i probably didn't make this clear sorry for that. but well spotted Dan.
Hi George mate its on the list i think you will find it very interesting as i don't use conventional ways of checking out some of the continental young players use my line of thinking on checkouts but my way is logic and it works.
Hey dave great videos mate. Just wondering what your views are on the rear foot, some people say its important they are lined up, also the distance between the two feet. So for example if your legs too far apart can make the dart drop lower etc.
Hi Dave keep your feet just less than shoulder with apart and at 90 degrees to the board. have a watch of this one it should help th-cam.com/video/m3NjS-C7Qzg/w-d-xo.html cheers Dynamite Dave...
Cheers dave just watched the video you recommended, makes sense. Very interesting about what you said about bringing the dart back past your eye level. Shall be putting plenty of practice in over easter 👍😁
I am left handed with a right eye dominance i try to keep my face parallel to the board and look with both eyes using my dominant eye to aim and my left to fill in as my throwing arm obscures my line of site. persevere it will come. a high level of concentration will pay big dividends.
OK thank you. I had seen videos about eye dominance 4 someone z to me at a match on mon was I left eye dominant! Must b part of what I'm doing wrong. Thanks dave loving the videos 👏

Dave can you make a video about counting when you have the time ? Be interesting to see which way you go on various checkouts

david llewellyn look forward to it mate, really enjoy your videos. You ever hit a 9 darter or come close to one haha
7 on here filmed and had two actual 9 Darters both in practice so they don't count only if they are witnessed do they count.
david llewellyn haha that’s mad. Do you play county darts Dave?

Do you have any advice on right handed throwers with left eye dominance please? Mite b hard since Ur a lefty 😂
