- My first hunt at a possible 1930s homesite that I found on the USGS Topographic map. This is an ongoing permission so I will probably hunt there several times. Today I hit the site with the Minelab X-Terra Pro and I had some cool finds. I was wrong on what I thought was a garden tool find. Wait until you see what it is!

At the 640 Mark the object is a Window Sash Holder (Window Blinds) and it's only one side of it and the other side should have a open side that the sash slides in and it should have a flip lock but the one that you found is just the Holder but still a Old Piece...
That makes sense, thank you for the comment! I tried using google lens to search the picture and it showed a few window latches but nothing that looked the same.
@@dcmdetects it's not a Window Lock to hold the window from opening but the Old Style of the Roller Blinds that you had to pull down and it had a Spring Loaded setup and then hopefully it doesn't spring back and watch the blind roll itself and Also in some of the very old movies, like Laurel and Hardy and Buster Keaton the Window Blind's would fly up...
@@carolrice2063 yes, I understand. But google didn’t haha. Every time I searched google it would only show me latches
(Ebay roller blinds holder antique )and this is very close enough to what you have but his is the circle style and yours is the slot style.
