I’m so glad you mentioned sponge tip applicators, I bought a pack of them from Ulta for $2 and they have been a miracle worker for applying any kind of eyeshadows.

I forgot how much i love your tutorials, listing the brushes and showing what color your using is super helpful, though im sure it takes a lot of time while editing. Just know i appreciate it! While i am not interested in this palate, i was interested in your review. I think your eye look is great, however nothing i couldnt accomplish with eyeshadows i already have, and save myself the ridiculous price tag she attached to this palate. I had a bunch of those sponge tip applicators from my high school days & I threw them away like a year ago. Now I wish I didn’t bc they look like they work good with certain formulas meant for your fingers. I can’t get down with applying my shadows with my finger! I sometimes feel like my Natasha Denona palettes call for that and I don’t like using my fingers lol. Thanks for the review- always trust your thoughts!! 💜✨💄

That angled brush is so intriguing! I already put my regular angled eyeshadow brushes with the end up but that one seems very soft and flexible with longer fibres so it’s interesting!

Hey there Steph, I notice that your palette's shimmers have the little "divets" in them, as though the pans weren't entirely filled or the middles of the shadows collapsed. Does that bother you, or are you okay with it, assuming the posted weight is correct?
Shadows can be dry or wet when making. I believe these were wet & when poured, it’s the way they dried. Mine are not hollow, but I have heard some say theirs are now. I filmed this the day after it launched. I like to try not to read or watch others reviews prior to my own so it doesn’t sway me either way
Naomi PR I was going to comment on the same thing.. Lol I've noticed in every review I've watched I saw the same thing with the shimmer shadows that they look to have dips in all of them.. How weird! Wonder why they are doing that...
Naomi PR I also remember her saying she did stick her fingers in them to check them out, but didn't use them on her eyes before this video so maybe that's when it happened. Not sticking up for or insulting Huda either way, just saying maybe they dry "soft" and when you press into them it compacts them more.
You could do this if you wanted. Anyone can. You just have to remember to remind yourself, no one talking shit to you over the internet is doing better at life than you. Otherwise, they’d have better shit to do. It’s not life or death, politics or social justice issues. It’s freaking Makeup & skincare. Some people are just miserable lunatics lol
I don't really care much about expensive palettes because I have extremely hooded eyes and for me it just isn't worth it, but I never clicked so fast on a video before just to see you do your makeup :) even though it's 3 AM in Serbia lol. I'm shocked at how much of a difference the sponge tip applicator did, I have those from some palettes but I never use them so that's a handy tip! Also, I love when your cat makes an appearance in the video
I noticed that the top row of shimmers look indented. Some people said that the pans seemed hollow and started to indent as soon as it was touched. Did this happen to you?
They were indented in the middle. The weren’t hollow though. I just assumed they were a liquid to powder formula & it’s the way they dried. After using it more since this was recorded it isn’t worth the price tag. Maybe $30

yay for the sponge tip applicators! I bought a big bag after you mentioned them. The ones I got are sturdier than the ones than the ones that comes with palettes and work great for shimmers.

I'm not mad about this at all. I bought the first one a year ago; it was tough, but I always made it work. I got the Jouer Skinny Dip and it was also the same textured deal. Fast forward to Huda's mini Obsession palettes; her new shimmers are perfection! 🙌 Maybe she's just regretful that her first shimmers aren't like those, and now that she has the formulation to make them more user-friendly, she did. Sweet Peach was reformulated, Algenist lip conditioner was reformulated, the list goes on and on... They aren't obligated to tell us jack; formulas evolve. I'm okay with that.
I love your videos from the super in depth to a simple one like this! It's such a treat when a video pops into my feed since you're such a busy hard working lady! I'm totally into rose gold these days but this pallet does nothing for me since I have tones similar!

You can get giant bags on Amazon for fairly cheap ❤️ I feel like these work the best for all shimmers now

Hey there Steph, I notice that your palette's shimmers have the little "divets" in them, as though the pans weren't entirely filled or the middles of the shadows collapsed. Does that bother you, or are you okay with it, assuming the posted weight is correct?
Shadows can be dry or wet when making. I believe these were wet & when poured, it’s the way they dried. Mine are not hollow, but I have heard some say theirs are now. I filmed this the day after it launched. I like to try not to read or watch others reviews prior to my own so it doesn’t sway me either way
Naomi PR I was going to comment on the same thing.. Lol I've noticed in every review I've watched I saw the same thing with the shimmer shadows that they look to have dips in all of them.. How weird! Wonder why they are doing that...
Good question it was the #1 complaint that I saw.
Naomi PR I also remember her saying she did stick her fingers in them to check them out, but didn't use them on her eyes before this video so maybe that's when it happened. Not sticking up for or insulting Huda either way, just saying maybe they dry "soft" and when you press into them it compacts them more.
I was actually wondering if they're like the Nyx "I love you so Mochi" eyeshadow palettes that are squidgy but somehow still usable with a brush.

I don't really care much about expensive palettes because I have extremely hooded eyes and for me it just isn't worth it, but I never clicked so fast on a video before just to see you do your makeup :) even though it's 3 AM in Serbia lol. I'm shocked at how much of a difference the sponge tip applicator did, I have those from some palettes but I never use them so that's a handy tip! Also, I love when your cat makes an appearance in the video
I noticed that the top row of shimmers look indented. Some people said that the pans seemed hollow and started to indent as soon as it was touched. Did this happen to you?
They were indented in the middle. The weren’t hollow though. I just assumed they were a liquid to powder formula & it’s the way they dried. After using it more since this was recorded it isn’t worth the price tag. Maybe $30

yay for the sponge tip applicators! I bought a big bag after you mentioned them. The ones I got are sturdier than the ones than the ones that comes with palettes and work great for shimmers.

I'm not mad about this at all. I bought the first one a year ago; it was tough, but I always made it work. I got the Jouer Skinny Dip and it was also the same textured deal.
Fast forward to Huda's mini Obsession palettes; her new shimmers are perfection! 🙌 Maybe she's just regretful that her first shimmers aren't like those, and now that she has the formulation to make them more user-friendly, she did. Sweet Peach was reformulated, Algenist lip conditioner was reformulated, the list goes on and on... They aren't obligated to tell us jack; formulas evolve. I'm okay with that.
