I know classics don’t get the TH-cam numbers but man do I enjoy watching you drive this era of car and I so hope it doesn’t deter you from buying one! We’d love to see it.
@@Car10121-s I love Shmee and laugh when he goes into a collection or museum and panning across all of the 1960’s cars to get to another new car. “Oh boy, another 911. Oh wow, it’s got a titanium ash tray”. That’s my thought bubble.
Supercars were cool in the 80s and 90s because they were rare and you never saw them and TH-cam etc didn't exist. Now every 5 seconds you see a video on an Aventador or some Ferrari or McLaren etc and it's old plus you see these cars a lot more in real life.
I know these trips take their toll but it’s hugely enjoyable just seeing a different scene. I’m really looking forward to the coast to coast US in only a Tesla with Tony. 😂
Porsche 60s-90s is just full of so many gems. As a long time fan, I’ve dreamed about the 3.6 turbo S slantnose cars. Regardless the numbers you get, thank you for making this video! What an amazing look into one of the most special porsche production specials of all time. Next up 964 turbo S 3.3 lightweight!!
I had the RS America (designed by Vic Elford, by the way) in that color and just loved it. The Turbo steering rack was the best I’ve ever experienced. I really think the 911 peaked, from a design standpoint, with the almost wearable sized cars. You always sensed what each wheel was doing, and you could reach back and locate your items (briefcase and so on) behind the seats while driving. It was like a rolling office. Oh, and that sound: just perfect.
You can really see your passion for motoring come out in videos like this where you’ve got no expectations of a car but yet it blows you out of the water. You walk away with a permanent memory at the end of the day and a huge smile!
A giddy little school boy - don’t ever change Sam, your enthusiasm is infectious. I can remember when you weren’t a Porsche fan - how times have changed and may I say for the better (for you and us!).
Im borderline obsessed with 60s design, in lots of things swell as cars. Sure it's easy to have rose tinted glasses and all, but it was a fascinating decade.
Dude, I genuinely love that this your job and the way you do it. Brings me so much joy! Also, I’d have such a hard time choosing one car from the last collection. So much special stuff, so many great cars to drive… boiling it down to two: 812 GTS & 911R!
Casual FXX on a lift surounded by boxes, is there anything cooler than that, well used and a bit dirty so much cooler than some zero miles car (posh paperweight) sat on a plinth.
Lovely video Sam. Great seeing some houses and neighbourhood B-roll. 😎 Glad that car floated your boat. 964 Turbos are great cars. I had a pretty sorted 3.3 years ago. Lightly breathed on it produced just over 380bhp (up from 320bhp standard) which is enough. The 3.6 with X88 power kit option (my mate owned one that was later owned by Jenson Button) was 385bhp which I’m guessing that flat nose has, due to the 4 exhausts. Lovely old cars. Great road trip cars (took mine to France etc) but still fun on a B road. Get one bought. 😉
I for one really appreciate these videos - I could feel your genuine excitement in that dream garage! Excitement levels competing with Francois Bourgeois!
I’d watch this over any koenigsegg video any day of the week! All that stuff has become meaningless flexing of cars that do very little and work very little
Saw this Flachbau in Monterey last August; its an incredible example! So cool that you could check it out, along with so many other sick Porsches. Love this content, dude, especially since it’s here in America lol
Crazy to see you start the video in my hometown! Would love to see you come back again next time and have a catch up after meeting at the BTG live show at Podium last year
I went to school with a guy whose father had one of these in his garage. I remember seeing it a few times. Incredible car. He ended up selling it a few years later
Wow sam great video of some realy nice collection. I will take any of them . But i think older cars being switched to manual is a no for me bc ur changing to munch away from what made that car what it was.
I really didn't know about the 964 Turbo S Flachbau - now I know about it & nothing else edit: found "FLACHBAU! 1 of 12 RHD 964 Turbo S Flatnose from Porsche Exclusive: up close" now I know much more...
@seenthroughglass don’t feel too bad, Shmee walked right past one of these, calling it a 964, in a video a year or so ago he did on an indoor collection in Florida. It frustrates me when the more influential cartubers like you guys don’t know these important models, but only because I REALLY wanted to do make car videos myself.

I get bored seeing the same new super cars. For me, the 60’s cars are it.
Yep and Sam’s enthusiasm is rare too. There’s shmee for everything coming out tomorrow.

This channel needs a vintage Porsche!

“Oh my God people…I’m freaking out”!
Good on you Sam. Your joy and enthusiasm to share makes us happy.
The 904 was an immediate highlight.
Well done Sam!
Thank you.
I’m sorry but that SLS might be the nicest car I’ve seen in a long long time. Outrageously good.
Probably the only channel that I know the upload schedule. Lovely video as always Sam!
Sunday, coffee & Seen Through Glass.

That might positively change their mind on EV’s.
Traveling, taking a toll, is a very privileged sorrow.

who said woe is me?@@notDonaldFagen
Just in time for the Sunday upload. Chilling in the couch with a beer, watching another lovely STG episode. Cheers.

That Ferrari FXX is perfect!!
These are the videos that make me keep coming back Sam. Your joy comes thru completely.

Someone's giddy!! Glad you're having fun in the States. Love the tour Sam and historical background with pics! Keep Bangin'! 😁
Loved the Ducati motorcycle snippet! All very special bikes

Didn't your other friend Jerry, reach out to you to show you around? What a friend huh?
It’s nice sometimes to find a TH-camr that gets as excited as you do over cars..👍👍👍👍
Well done sam..
Casual FXX on a lift surounded by boxes, is there anything cooler than that, well used and a bit dirty so much cooler than some zero miles car (posh paperweight) sat on a plinth.
The 911r with the blue stripes is the car for me out of this video. Fire video man!
Again, you delivered an outstanding video. Thank you for sharing your experience.

That Porsche just sounds so nice, way better than the modern ones

Both you and Shmee upping the game with unbelievable content!
Must be a challenge 🥴
Either way it’s seriously very good 💥
Well done that man!
"Days like these" 🙂 Thanks for sharing the drive!
Some serious metal on this video. Awesome, great stuff Sam, thanks for the video
One of your best Sam, great video, really enjoyed it.
I'd have gone with the standard nose I think, the flat nose looks a bit wrong on these. Cool car though, nothing beats the rear end of a 964 turbo
One of the best vids you have made 👍
Another great video, another new bit of Porsche knowledge gained! Cheers Sam 👏🏽
It never ceases to amaze me just how many high end European cars make their home in the states. Being from Ireland I am so jealous!😁 Great video!
While in the area you should visit Greenwich Connecticut become a really big car area. Boutique car manufacturers ,modifiers great car culture
Cool to see you in my backyard. Welcome to Long Island! Love the porsches.
the 1st time i saw a flatnose in the 90's i fell in love with it ! i hope they wil make a new flatnose to honour the old flatnoses
I thought the 458 beneath the FXX was the 'squiggles' F1 GTR for a second
Car pricing is stupid in the USA. But its a great car.
Well done sir! That last garage was my dream garage. All the cars you need or could ever want 👏
Well this was good day.....
Im like you, generally all about the Ferraris and Porsches. But that green SLS looked incredible!
Almost 600k subscribers, congratulations...
I went to school with a guy whose father had one of these in his garage. I remember seeing it a few times. Incredible car. He ended up selling it a few years later
STG x NYC content we at least need this once a year.
One of the best Porsches I’ve ever seen. Best to the 959
It’s an amazing car. It’s specced like an old s class. Love it.
How awesome the posters behind the Porsche race cars were. I noticed 1967, so many cool cars were released in 67 the year I was born 👍☹️
Oh My God! Today’s content is beyond incredible.
Great episode Sam!
So close to where I live… can wait to check out BLUE BEAN Cafe… thanks Sam
One kidney = SLS Both kidneys = Flachbau 😂
@seenthroughglass I believe that black RS 4.0 is one of zuckermans old cars. hence the comfort seat option 😂
Where are the places you stopped for coffee? In New York state in a couple of weeks. Looking for recommendations.
That garage is a piece of paradise 🥲
That was very special. What an experience
If i recall they were rated at 385, about 20 up from the standard 3.6 turbo.
Loved the classic content thank you so much
Sam, your a lucky guy, that day was special.
Big smiley day.
😎😎😎👍👍👍
There is a guy in houston that has an fxx that he lets his whole family drive whenever they want on the road pretty cool to see
Best absolutely loved this content! Tops.
You had me with the multicolor seats 🥰
My neck of the woods. Hope you enjoyed your visit, Sam!
Great video and right up your alley. Have you ever tried to connect with fan Jerry Seinfeld?
That blue interior is awesome 😊
That green SLS, just wow
Wow sam great video of some realy nice collection. I will take any of them . But i think older cars being switched to manual is a no for me bc ur changing to munch away from what made that car what it was.
I still don’t understand how Sam doesn’t have 1 million subscribers!
Thanks Sam ... well done ...
Simplesmente meu Porsche favorito de todos os tempos!!!!
Great Sunday afternoon viewing cheers shame the mazza has not got a v8.😢
I do love a plexi-glass headlight cover!
16:30 never mind the Maybach driving in the back 🙄
Manual swap your CS asap!!
Wow, spectacular finds!
Am I the only only dope who loves the 488? Sam blew by it like it was a Dodge Journey.
Shows his knowledge about cars of this TH-camr.
Anyone think the FXX lift looks a bit wobbly?!
The Ferrari FXX was dope 🐎
Great Video!
Love it Sam!
Jesus Sam …..a Flaushbau with cloth inserts 😳😍
I really didn't know about the 964 Turbo S Flachbau - now I know about it & nothing else
edit:
found

now I know much more...
Just bloody awesome Porsches❤
Happy Sunday everyone :)
Welcome to Long Island Sam. Hope you enjoyed our home.
Flatnose 911s will always conjure up images of the b+b original sporting 928 headlights back in 1978.
The collector gets it
Nah the SLS is outrageous. The perfect spec.
ever since you mentioned this on your podcast, I’ve been so excited for this video!
Fantastic video as always Sam! 🤌🏼

Brooo he just saw a real life car myth 😱as if he saw the FXX like WHAT!
What a great video, well done sam 👏
Simply amazing.
This video was amazing. Still waiting for you to convince the wife to move to the U.S.
SUNDAYS WITH SAM ☕️🐿
