Hey keith! Im wondering if shooting group at -15 -20 celcius will affect riffle performance? Im doing load development in winter here in quebec canada with a brand new riffle , and wondering if it will perform better in the summer ?

When you are testing powder charges do you prepare the cartridge by the book OAL seating depth or seat the bullet ogive 20 thousands away from the lands?

It depends on the purpose of the rifle. If the OAL is unlimited 20 off works well. If a magazine is involved, I start at max mag length.

Now I need how to use the things! Do you just set vertical to 1 MOA up, shoot for group, then when done set vertical back down 1 moa so now POA=POI? OH! Duh! I see the instructions clearly written on the shotmarker target! 🤐

That's the neat thing about shooting. There isn't a "right" way. Just do what works for you. For me, offsetting up 1 MOA works really well.

Hi from Australia. I have just subscribed to your channel. I am wondering if these targets are designed to be used at a specific distance, ie, 50 or 100 yards?

It doesn't matter. The point of these is so that you don't shoot where you are aiming. If you shoot where you aim, you will shoot out the aiming point and be harder to group. The one in his Right hand (our left) is the target you want. The other one is upside down, no reason to aim at a circle.

      @@BRADASSOFFGRIDHOMESTEAD Thanks for the explanation.

Is the difference in the two targets personal preference, which I presume? Do you find that one has a better advantage under certain conditions/distances than the other? Thanks for these!

Which one I use is dependent on the scope and rifle. Some scopes are better suited to shooting at the diamond shape on the OCW target. It's just a preference thing.
