Here's what I remember from childhood - the DARE Program. The narrator and various comics make fun of the idea that a person can take personal responsibility for their choices and actions (especially those that can really screw up your Entire Life) by "just say(ing) No" to drugs. I've seen the end results of both decisions and the person who said No definitely came out on top. More, it wasn't as though there were just a few commericals and speeches. In Los Angeles, the Federal Government funded the pretty holistic health course-like approach led by the police to: address the curiosity, the effects of different types of drugs, what the crime did to the families and communities, and tips on how to respond to dealers, friends, and even strangers who tried to get you involved with drugs. I dunno. I guess it depends on different variables whether people took it seriously or not. haha
Holy shit I grew up in North Tacoma! I had no idea this story existed but I know the Hill Top area; everyone in Tacoma knew that area was off limits lol. However that area of Tacoma is actually beautiful. It has nice parks and the local high school in that area (Stadium High School) is beautiful and has loads of history. I had a few child hood friends who were somewhat affiliated with the crips there in Tacoma. Yea good times… Besides Hill Top and some parts of East Tacoma; Tacoma is actually really cool
I grew up basically right next to the Narrows Bridge in one of the communities on the Tacoma side of the bridge. Anyone here know of the Narrows Bridge/ Titlow Park?
I Know You Guys Enjoy Watching Military Stuff, So You Guys Should React To "The Story Of Pat Tillman's Football Career & Death." It Is An Extremely Emotional Story But Absolutely Positively 100% Worth Watching. It Is A Really Important Story And Video That I Think Everybody Should Watch!!!!!
The movie Gran Torino, starring and directed by Clint Eastwood, has a premise similar to what happened here. Idk if its directly inspired by these true events.
Hey guys, thanks for reacting to this video because I had never even heard about this incident before. It's what I would call a "feel good story", except for the part when they described the aftermath and mentioned there were no confirmed kills. Although, as they mentioned, some of the scumbag gang members may have sustained severe injuries or secondary fatalities which were never reported or associated with this gun fight. I was hoping to hear about multiple Crip bodies spread around the perimeter of the house, because in reality, not the liberal fantasy of sudden repentance and responsibility, 99% of these violent, amoral losers will remain a burden to society indefinitely. You can also tell that the gang members are either pathetically ignorant or just plain stupid for thinking they could be a match for members of the Army Rangers elite special forces unit (the same thing would apply to members of the Army Green Beret or Delta Force or the Navy SEALS).
Random question you said you grew up around guns and stuff and I’m curious . I kind of am familiar with the gun laws in the UK and there is a gun culture so to speak with competitions and hunting but it’s insanely impossible to really own a gun . So did you grow up hunting over there and stuff ? As a US guy and born and raised in deserts of Arizona and was in the Marines for a while , guns are totally normal for me and people around me . Curious about any of your experiences in the UK with guns and hunting and stuff like that?
Much like in most liberal US states, it's pretty easy to get a shotgun or a rifle but very difficult to get a handgun. Especially up north. As it should be. There's really no reason to actually own a handgun, and I own 3 guns...
@@willvr4 Depends where you’re from really, if you’re from certain estates or other low-income neighbourhoods you’ll come across a handgun at some point. I’ve only been here for 12 years and I’ve seen some things, but I was around the type of person who would own such things.
@@willvr4 Well I know that the UK has a gun culture, you should know that it isnt hard to get a handgun in liberal states. I live in California (one of the worst) and I can go get a new pistol easily. The thing thats regulated is the magazine capacity (10 rounds), the number of handguns you can purchase at once and in CA there is a list of handguns that the state has deemed "safe". The list is a complete joke but it just means gun dealers have to sale approved handguns in the state. Law Enforcment for some idiotic reason can buy the guns not on the list though.
@@sharkbait5402 The gun culture in the UK is a fraction of what it is in America. Our gun culture is absurd. Basic comparison...As of 2020 there's less than 5 guns in the UK per 100 people. In America, there's 120 guns per 100 people...More guns than people.
I doubt Hollywood would ever make a movie about black gangster getting lit up why white army rangers. It doesnt fit the narrative. Or maybe they will but make the gangster white and the rangers black.
Nowadays all the rangers would go to prison because the system is eager to not appear racist and they hate the idea of armed civilians defending themselves (ok they're army but not on duty)
That was the 2nd Amendment in action. If people say that that is rediculous, and rediculous for those men to have acted, what were the police doing? Nothing! And if you say they should have gone to jail for acting like that, I think they would probably say that they would rather be alive and in jail than "compliant" and dead. Remember: when seconds count, the police will always be just minutes away.
I don't know why people are saying those rangers smoked them. None of the crips were hurt, quite a few bullets were pretty darn close to hitting the rangers and the ranger at the top window was grazed by a bullet with glass shattering and the ranger received multiple lacerations on his face. Those rangers are trained army special forces and those crips were street thugs. For a battle between special forces and street thugs those crips kicked their asses

I dunno. I guess it depends on different variables whether people took it seriously or not.
haha
300+ rounds. 30+ people? Bad math. Something doesn't add up!
1989…. 3 years after I was Discharged from Active Duty in the Army.
The Narrater is killing it.
The movie Gran Torino, starring and directed by Clint Eastwood, has a premise similar to what happened here. Idk if its directly inspired by these true events.
The background music sounds like the theme song to "Stranger Things"
Gangs in Tacoma WA ?? 😅😅
America always makes me laugh! Kids v Military. Lol
Who could have guessed that at the end these "gangsters" would run away like the cowardly little weasels they truly are.
Stay on a keyboard atleast where I'm from people will lose their s**t for your comment 😂😂 showed a few and they are fuming
@@zombieape6177 People loose their s*** over words... Bwhahahaha. Ask them for me, what are their preferred pronouns, she/her? 🥱🖕🤣
I mean yeah, if they didn't run they would die lol. Its not like narco-states in Mexico where they essentially own the local governments.
I don't know. Staff Sgt. is pretty high up there for a Ranger. I'm guessing that he was hoping for a lateral promotion?
Thing's change and sadly things stay the same.
Nobody even died🤣🤣🤣
Handguns are banned and illegal to own In the UK, after an incident happened In the 80's.
I wonder if any of the footage was truely from that night, or just stock video?
I doubt Hollywood would ever make a movie about black gangster getting lit up why white army rangers. It doesnt fit the narrative. Or maybe they will but make the gangster white and the rangers black.
How they get lit up and nobody die..lol
If yall are gonna react to this, you should check out some trap lore
They didn't smoke anyone....nobody died from that shootout.
Definition of badass.
THIS is what makes men want to join the Military. 💪😎👌🇺🇲
You guys should react to "King Phillips War" by Atun-Shei Films
Lot of crip sympathizers in the comments lol
Yeh 😂
Thanks! But this strictly because Mike has to suffer all of us fools lol

Welcome to Tacompton!
Man I LOVE Popomedic!
Tacoma was a war zone into the early 2000’s
Don’t fuck with military and ex military friends. We love for that shit
The discipline those boys showed in not killing them all is truly amazing. Marines would have just gone ahead and blown up the whole dang block.
My uncle was a part of the 75th Ranger Regiment. I showed him the original video, and he said something like “15 Rangers could’ve taken out that whole street in 20 minutes if the wanted to”
@@TwiztidAngel13 He was not wrong. They wouldn't have had to break much of a sweat either. It's almost literally what they're trained to do. My son is Ranger, though from a different Reg. I suspect your uncle is a good man. Every Ranger I've ever met has been.
Because they couldn't..lol.crips are in military too.yall swear the don't have since
@@TwiztidAngel13 if they could they would have
@@bootnazz1786 ok, but this time in English.
