    "To finish the work left unfinished."
    Great idea to transmit that to get a response because with that show of "appropriate" force North Korea has got to be thinking, "Are they talking about finishing off the cutting of the tree or finishing whatever was left with the Korean War?"

    Something like that didn’t start because of the tree, it was because two soldiers were killed….. doing their job cutting down a tree. The tree means nothing, it’s the soldiers lives that mattered.

    • @erikwilliam1254
      @erikwilliam1254 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is factually correct that it was started over a tree.
      The two American soldiers wouldn't have died had there not been said tree.
      Said tree was on SK side and was a 'security' issue for the SK, and NK didn't want SK to cut it down.
      The two Americans wouldn't have been there in the first place if NK hadn't made it a scene in the first place.

    What's really strange is I don't remember ever in school being taught the U.S. military is badasses that support democracy everywhere. We don't start shit. We stop it.

    Thanks for reacting to TFE. I love all of his videos. I know you have probably been told this but you should always watch the entire video including the ads and right the end. Nick's fans won't mind a bit. His ads can be funny and a bit irreverent but so good. And , at the end of the video he sometimes includes snippets of interviews with the people showcased in the video. I thoroughly promise you people that know Nick will not mind watching these.

    My uncle just got back from a military visit to Korea, including the DMZ and JSA. He said all the tunnels and bridges leading to the JSA have explosives planted along them and gun emplacements at strategic points. If there’s an attack they’ll blow everything to impede their progress as much as possible.

    Honestly, America should do more shows of force like this. People are less likely to mess with you when they understand what you are capable of.

  • @marciaramirez3791

    Office Blokes being British. Go on and talk about the famous Hadrian's Wall Sycamore Gap tree being cut down, but can't recall the name of it; only that it exists and the event happened. I honestly feel the same way as an American. People mention things and I have to think about it and realize, "Oh yeah, the big thingy thousands of people go see....Huge and grandiose. Just take a left at the next intersection and you can't miss it. It's got several signs pointing you at it saying 'Wal-Mart'. Oh, wait, you were talking about the Grand Canyon?! Shoot man, you're in the wrong state."
    That was also the thing back in the day and I'm sure it's a bit of a semi-solid theory. Like a non-newtonian theory. But back in the 20's-80's a show of force equated to how much CO2 you could dump into the air for a single mission. Why do you think Soviet tanks and trucks had such horrible emissions? Surely it couldn't be that communism failed to create things like catalytic converters or fuel efficient engines that didn't need to roll coal the entire time they were on. It was so they looked like they were showing a lot more force than they actually had. A T-72 with it's turret blown off and it on fire belches out a lot more black smoke than an F-4 Phantom II did, so obviously that is a better show of force and why that's an option on those tanks. 🤣
    But seriously, you know you've messed up when the US Military intends to respond to your actions. You know you've committed an unpardonable sin if you've some how gotten all branches of the US Military to work together voluntarily to respond to your stupidity. If either one of those US Soldiers who were KIA during this were field promoted to a "Boat", that would have been the start of WWIII.

    I would have just told an artillery crew to shoot the tree with a high explosive round. From flat trajectory range (Which varies for each artillery piece, that's why i'm wording it like that).

      @@SGTvolcanI get it, but as soon as NK sees artillery in the air they're unloading themselves right back and as stated, lead to more unnecessary loss of life. I'm just saying it would have made the situation way worse. Clearly, not doing so was the best response.

    • @SGTvolcan
      @SGTvolcan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Cubs-Fan.10 Flat trajectory is essentially point blank. Meaning not enough air time to allow the round to arc. So the round would have less than a quarter of a second of travel time.
      Artillery has a variety of shell types, and can be adjusted to have further ranges (more velocity) or sharper arc (lower velocity).
      It's North Korea, fuck'em.

    • @Cubs-Fan.10
      @Cubs-Fan.10 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SGTvolcan I agree, Fuck NK. But they would absolutely use an artillery strike to justify sending their own 20 minutes later to the 25,000 soldiers on standby. I'm not going to argue radar detection response time or even logical military tactics. Because nothing in that scenario from NK would be logical. It would be irresponsible to give them the opportunity to say 'They fired first, and we defended ourselves from what we thought was an attack on our homeland". Then it becomes political, other nations get involved, economic issues and geopolitics get involved when they never should have. Your logic is checkers, the actual response at the time was chess. Take you're feeling out of it when making a decision that would affect global insecurity.
