All the openings I’ve seen haven’t had “bad” pull rates. It’s just that there’s no IR’s and that makes it feel like your hits are less.
They are less unless you count Poke ball and masterball reverse parallels in replace of ir's. Also there is alot of undesirable sir's watering down the possibilities when that 1% of the time or so that you crack open a pack and pull an sir.
@@buffalobill9793plus the pull rate data so far points to approx 1 in 100 packs for a single SIR which is worst we have had yet.
@@peterstainburn2871 ya 1:100 is pretty rough when there are 32 different ones. That's 1:3200 for a specific IR. Nobody wants much outside the eveelutions. Maybe on the outside you could say there are 10 IR'S that will feel good to pull but because of the pull rates most of the other 22 are going to feel like a kick in the nuts to be quite honest. That's worse than it was for Evolving Skies. That's going to push the Umbreon close to Moonbreon heights even though the art is not nearly as good or iconic. Maybe not right away but if those figures are in the neighborhood the Umbreon SIR may be twice as difficult to pull as the difficult enough Moonbreon was and just based off rarity alone it will be expensive.
@@peterstainburn2871 I might just sit this one out for ripping and just keep everything I can get my hands on sealed. Let's not forget this is a holiday set so packs will likely never be less than $10 per pack which is about twice what a pack of Evolving Skies cost for the first couple years. Not until the reprint window closed on ES did the price start to climb beyond $10 a pack. PE packs will always be at least $10 likely more, especially if you live in Canada.
@@peterstainburn2871 Pull rates have looked like 1/~65 (heard 64-67) from the massive openings so far, which is exactly what we've had the past approximately year and a half for SIRs.
But yes, the amount of different SIRs in the set, combined with the lack of IRs, makes the hit rate feel awful even if the pull rate isn't worse than any other set.
I think the mistake TPC made was assuming that the IRs and the MB/PB revs are interchangeable to their entire consumer base, which is obviously not true.
I think this set would be incredible if they made the PB/MB revs an additional feature, but they cannot replace SIRs or IRs for the average collector.
Another side effect of making this many SIRs for one set is that a lot of their artists (and art) are being overlooked. If the work put into the 22 SIRs that are not Eevee or Eeveelutions were instead put into IRs, the art would be way more appreciated by the consumers. As it stands, a lot of people will look at it and go "Nooo! I got a ___ instead of an Eeveelution!" instead of enjoying the art.
We normally don't count reverse holos as "hits"but in this set those poke ball holos are really solid hits in my opinion. If they were gallerian galleries instead for example we would be saying "wow the hit rates are incredible!".
The pull rates really aren't that bad when compared to the early sword and shield days, the moonbreon from Evo skies was 1 in 2000 packs, we have just gotten spoiled by the late sword and shield and early scarlet and violet.
Your right we have gotten spoiled but not pulling something in a bunch of packs will stop some people from coming back to buying the cards
But when you factor in how many SIRs there are in the set and you assume the hit rate is between 1/50 to 1/60 packs for an SIR, then you get the chances of pulling the new umbreon at 1/1600 to 1/1900. Still not great.

I have a English ETB unopened. But I did open 3 Japanese TF boosters boxes and ended up pulling a masterball, and a Demi God pack that had Umbreon, Sylveon, and Vaporeon SIR’s

My son and I got lucky and got 2 etbs in the wild last night. Both boxes had a master ball and each one also had a sir, cornerstone mask ogerpon ex and raging bolt ex. Probably the only ones that we will open, the scalper in front of us took everything except the 2 etbs i told him i wanted, which was nice but he got 6 binders and 6 posters plus 4 etbs.... what a day 😬

I've done alright thus far. Two SIRs in like 40 packs although they were iron hands and sandy shocks so could have been better. No full arts thus far and only one masterball. Weirdly the regular ex cards seem pretty rare, and it feels bad to get a reprinted one instead of the new ones. The set is fine, and obviously most of the SIRs are beautiful, but I don't think it's worth the money people are willing to put up. I'm hoping it comes down in price so I can rip a bunch, but if it stays high it'll just be a "let's buy singles" set for me.
That’s the way to do it 🙌🏻 Rip a set amount, buy the singles you didn’t pull, and don’t overspend. That’s the best way to enjoy the hobby sustainably. Fingers crossed for our sake the prices do go down.

I Opened up a case (10 ETB’s) of prismatic for my birthday last night. Your hits were just as good if not better out of 2 ETB’s

The umbreon pokeball!! So beautiful!! So much seeing this opening you had a lot of really good hits! My top chases are also the Umbreon and Espeon SIR but i’ll be happy with any eevelution to be honest and hopefully the Paldean Friends card. My preorders arrive tomorrow excited to collect this set🙏🏼Thank you for getting this out early

So how much are the packs or the elite trainer boxes going to be because I know some stores are already selling the packs at $20 each in the elite trainer boxes
MSRP on packs should always be $4.49 USD and ETBs should be MSRP at $49.99 USD. Buy at your own risk if you’re willing to pay more but I personally won’t be. I’m waiting for reprints to lower the market price or buying singles.
@ I got my boxes for the price that they were originally because I’ve known these people for years. I’m gonna open one, but I’m just gonna focus on all their sets cause this is too much like I already almost seen a fight today because of that.

I feel like this run sucks balls. I believe that the re print is the one that gonna have the big hits. I also believe that Pokemon knew they f up not having pulls. That they probably decided to use a excuse of reprinting them to add the hits
