Yes, with Breton/False God it's more than fully realistic too - with Psijic Ulti you can also do quite a lot of more stuff solo, that otherwise requires help from others (bash mechanics, fiery stuff needing block in Scalecaller and so on).
Dude! Same I made a build for the new arena and it was so bad. I realized my mundus stone had also been removed from my character and now it's going a lot smoothly. I was having trouble melting adds and I finished the arena in 1.5 hours but now, I am doing so much better just finished it in 55 mins. I am so happy that it was that case because I was really upset that my character was not that strong but now it's all good. I am so glad I watched this video otherwise I would have just abandon this character lol.
I just bought Necromancer and I’m gonna follow this now. I followed your Magicka Sorcerer build and it was awesome but I like the look of the Necromancer class better.
Been trying to find out how to build my mag/ necro for almost a year and I really have no friends to help in dungeons so I needed to do it on my own on PS4. Thnx luckyghost
Built it today, love it already. I swapped elemental drain for summoners armor which lowers summon cost by 15%, that was also enough to be self sustained in long fights. Also it gives a ton of resistances and a corpse. In very easy or farm content I suggest slotting mage light instead for even faster farming.
wouldn't bone armor be more advantages instead of ele-drain`? the cost reduction to our summons, especially Blastbones, should end up being well above the amount of magika that drain provides while offering the defensive bonus on top of that.
What's your recommendation for survivability if you haven't got Ring of the Pale Order yet? I'm CP capped and all and pretty much never die on my magsorc but it seems like I could devote one bar entirely to heals and still have trouble staying alive on my magcro.
Never really did MagCro in PVE, but I will try this type of build. WIll run Medusa though, lil bit lower crit but it should make up for that loss. Pale Order Ring is sooooo fun. I have solo'ed vet Scalecaller Peak on a MagDK (vampire/Psijic ulti cheating) not hardmode yet, but I will try, and I am taking down dragons and Harrowstorms solo on my Stamplar using it (biggest problem is actually getting to be alone, someone almost always shows up ruining the fun). I hope they never nerf this mythic item. I play solo most of the time, mostly by choice as there's always some issues playing with others (not showing up, being late, dropping out, being shit, being in a bad mood and what not - the ring is always there!).
give this a try, i found it to be easier than the solo magden because the class spammable is so strong. also AOE damage is nuts here, just an all around monster of a build!
On console, was finding it was hard to keep my health up and constantly soul trap everything. Switched to necrotic potency and it works really well now, and almost constant ult so yay.
It took me a few, but I also realized most of my toons were missing their mundus, that point was running a dungeon and just not preforming well. QUESTION: Harness Magic VS Beckoning Armor.....they each have benefits, it is the length of beckoning armor that keeps me using it. What differences/benefits make you use the first rather than the last of those two shields???
Beckoning armor pulls mobs in and stacks them for you which can make melting down ads 100x easier. It also provides major resolve which will reduce the damage taken. Harness Magick is a damage absorber. So long as it is up you take no damage. It's a nice oh $#!t button. I love both skills
Wouldn't Medusa be a considerable damage gain over Mother's Sorrow since you're not running trap or channelled acceleration? Or, throw in CA instead of ED that would in all content outweigh the loss of minor magickasteal?
So do I just wait until I reach max level then watch this video or something? At 12:40 you say to wear 6 pieces of light armor except for the helmet being a certain helmet. How do I keep on one helmet when you are constantly getting better gear? Please respond I’m so lost on how to follow these
Definately trying this for sure, I really want to solo veteran Dungeons, have you done it with this build? Kinds tempted to drop the soul gem ability, maybe add a bar buffing move and just use heavy attacks once in a while.
@@Anomalyy666 The builds are like 1 & 1a really . With Ring of Pale order Magcro is just Beastly . But MagSorc is no slouch. If your running a Sorc no need to change it . Try and max it out and enjoy.
Hey Lucky, I was just wondering, cause I'm trying to follow this build when you said "Unstable wall of fire" is that suppose to be "Wall of Elements"? Or did they update this ability and if so what skill/morph is it now?
So I am actually doing this currently and I had the same question. If you just look up eso and then the name of the skill your looking for it will tell you the base one cause inhad the same issue with multiple ones.

better to combine ONE of those two with a set that adds damage so that when you crit, you crit big :) False Gods is great for this, especially perfected. sororia is even more damage in the right situations, if your sustain can handle it
Quick question. Is it worth going for the Perfected False God's? I already have the non-perfected pieces, but I'm wondering if that extra little bit of spell damage would be worth trying to grind vSS, especially since I'd probably have a hard time finding a good enough group.
One thing I always wonder but forget to ask.. Why does no one use the snakeblood passive in alchemy to remove the negative effects? Are they just that weak that it is not necessary?
No one uses any potions that have negative effects and therefore we don't really need that passive until zos adds a potion we would want to use that would need that passive
One Question: is Spell Erosion more important than spell damage when soloing stuff? I seem to have trouble to get above 2K spelldamage and read spell erosion might be more important?
One more question, you’re running the 1 piece Domihaus for the 2 max stat increase correct? Wouldn’t 1 piece stonekeeper be another option as it does max health/mag/Stam as a 1 piece trait bonus?
Yeah thats an option! Downside is It gives half as much mag and stam, and the two piece bonus won't be particularly useful if you ever need to take off your ring :)
Well I just did a blind run in vVH using this build, it’s amazing! The sustain is great and skills don’t seem clunky or awkward. Lots of mobility! I’ve only ever played necro in pvp, even with that as my cro experience so far this build is amazingly easy to follow and use! So thank you!!
Something I don't understand. What good are the mages guild / undaunted passives as they all seem to only affect mages guild and undaunted skills, which we don't use. Is there something that happens later that makes this more useful?
mages guild passives largely useful when using mages guild abilities, same with psijic passives. not ever build uses them but when they do the passives are great
@@LuckyGhost Thanks ^^ One other thing, on the rotation (Stalking Blastbones followed by two dots if falling or skulls if dots are good) does this build use light attacks between every ability cast as well? Level 30 and this is a pretty fun build even without the gear.
Quick question would the scythe also work in case you need heals to is there any way to also add that into the build im only rank 2 in the mage guild can I switch the ultimate also

At the end of every build video I show a screenshot that shows alllll of the traits weights enchants etc. On mobile now but check the last 1 min or so of the video its there! Also my stats in that fight are due to the mechanics in the arena. They give extra resources including health
swarm mother if you will never do group content with the monster set, domi if you are looking for something to invest in that can be good in a group as a 2 piece set. its up to you :)

Richochet skull iv 4407 damage now. Shocking siphon 8917 now. Consuming trap iii 7338 now. Your video will help me to play as dps initially but they nerfed the necro so bad it's just not a GOD anymore. Real shame. Thx for the video.
I main a mag necromancer and the only skills that I dont use on mine are the morphed soul trap and the elemental drain ability, im not too sure if I should start running them or not
They are largely for sustain, which you wont usually need unless you are in a longer fight like in vateshran hallows. if you are killing overland content, or doing group content with a healer and synergies you can forego one or both of these depending on how well you sustain
Pve is player vs environment. So you against the computer mobs. Solo just means your by yourself and don't have a group with you. So no healer standing behind you healing you and no tank in front of you tanking all of the enemies. This is a solo pve build
mother's sorrow on the weapon so you have 5 piece FG all the time. Not important if you wear the rest of your mother's sorrow on the body or jewls. Domihaus or swarm for the helm

I was wondering if you can assist me on a build for my argonian. I enjoy playing that class than any other. It just fit me. Any guidance would be great. I never did ask. With gates of oblivion on its way Would it be wise to use true-sworn fury over once it comes out instead of Medusa set or stick with Medusa?
I was checking your website, and all your tank builds use Destro staffs. Is that just for the Elemental Blockade? or is there another reason I'm not seeing?
Correct tanks use ele staffs for a couple reasons. Blockade is great for proc ing crusher enchant as you mentioned. Also you can heavy attack with a staff to get magicka back. You can run a bow with caltrops to proc crusher but then you have no way to get magicka back in a pinch!
Am I the only magnecro khajit with high crit and sneak bonus because I just love getting the drop in pvp while not being a night blade. It really passes people off
Couldnt we also use intensive Mendor with this Build or no? Saying this because I’ve Tried spirit Guardian (not with this build) and it’s Kinda unsustainable.

@@knobsstrings no different while wearing 1 piece. But if you ever take the ring of pale order off for group content or otherwise, the dominhaus 2 piece bonus is 100x more useful. So I elect to gold out piece domi if I can so that I can use 2 pc domi if I need. But you're right at 1 piece it is the same
was this easier than your magicka nightblade cuz you said he was the easiest yet?And what was your the least easy build in vatershan and maelstorm you tried?
Good question! I think because I have thousands of hours on the necro class, the weaving of blast bones comes very natural so it felt good! for the average player I think nightblade will feel safer because your swallow soul is still returning life even if you let your dots slip. Its hard to say because each time I run the vVH I become a little more comfortable with all of the mechanics. Hardest was definitely the stamcro. Not only because he was first but because he was melee. Im interested to see how the next stam toon feels!
be sure to check out the written guide for all the finer details (link in description) but if you're wearing the ring of the pale order you go 6 light and 1 heavy (helmet)

Yes you could do it on any class :) Its a lot about mechanics in the arenas. For a new player, Easiest might be the mag blade build I put out because your primary attack is a heal so forgetting to reapply dots isn't as fatal
I’m running a solo necro that’s very similar to this one, and he blows through Maelstrom. Haven’t tried it on Vateshran yet. Wearing Julianos (craftable), Mother’s Sorrow (overland), and Iceheart (DFK monster set, pretty easy). There are definitely better sets I could be wearing, but if you’re looking for a beginner-gear build you could do a lot worse.
@@LuckyGhost I'll give it a try. I run a solo summoner build for the most part I have no issues with most things. Just in the arena i just cant seem to keep shields up. I live in a rural area and my ping 600-700 on a good day (satellite internet) That'y why I was asking if there was something that was basic and easy to run which if i mistimed a spell it wasnt a restart a round. Even went out grab Ring of the Pale Order which helps but still isnt enough. I will look up your mag blade build and see if i got a character ready for it
because its 5 piece is giving you major prophecy, which you already get from your potion, so its actually less than mother's sorrow cus you cant get a named buff twice. so the buff on the armor does nothing when potion is active. TLDR we get that buff from a potion, so you're better off using MS or Medusa
I could tolerate the combat in this game a lot more if they did away with the entire idea of bar swapping to use skills. This build is pretty strong, what I don't like about it is how frequently you have to bar swap, the damaging skills on the back bar, the dots, I believe have 10 second CDs. If you want to keep those rolling, which you do, it just requires so much back and forth. In the end I found while under perfect circumstances I could parse higher numbers with this build compared to some of my similarly geared other classes, in practical use my damage was either lower or I had to work harder to get the same damage. Obviously plenty of people better at this game than me so mileage may vary but just for me, I found magsorc a bit more palatable. Don't have to bar swap quite as much and in practical use output is similar.

I just hit level 50 and i feel like im having a hard time staying alive right now:/ im doing the zombie farm and I cant sustain health long enough to survive is it the gear im missing or am i just bad?
yeah you dont have gear, or passives yet. your sustain is probably rough. you're low level, you're supposed to feel a bit weak at this point :) it will get better, it will help a lot when you get to 160, get your gear and get your ring on, in the mean time keep your mender up so its always healing you. make sure to use food as well
yeah, some do. I make mine specifically so they will work well in both group and solo content. just take of the ROPO and put on a full monster set if you have a healer
if wearing ring of pale order, wear the set that should have been on the ring finger. if not wearing ring of pale order, wear a shoulder that matches your monster set, like iceheart
As I'm just returning to eso I went from mag sorc to mag necro for a switch in game play. I was snooping around not much seen ring of pale order nerf. Is this build still viable for 2d in 2021? Or was ring of pale order hit too hard? I like mag sorc bc of crit surge heal n damage. Please haaaallllllppppp

Whats the earliest cp this build is viable from, ive been having issues soloing well as my magika warden at sub 300

non-perfected will be more than fine until you decide you want to start pushing vet dlc content and achievements :)

Why u wear no Lightning staff at the backbar?? You got just AoE Skills there u will do more dmg or Not 🤨?
Something I don't understand. What good are the mages guild / undaunted passives as they all seem to only affect mages guild and undaunted skills, which we don't use. Is there something that happens later that makes this more useful?
mages guild passives largely useful when using mages guild abilities, same with psijic passives. not ever build uses them but when they do the passives are great
@@LuckyGhost Thanks ^^ One other thing, on the rotation (Stalking Blastbones followed by two dots if falling or skulls if dots are good) does this build use light attacks between every ability cast as well? Level 30 and this is a pretty fun build even without the gear.
Quick question would the scythe also work in case you need heals to is there any way to also add that into the build im only rank 2 in the mage guild can I switch the ultimate also

At the end of every build video I show a screenshot that shows alllll of the traits weights enchants etc. On mobile now but check the last 1 min or so of the video its there! Also my stats in that fight are due to the mechanics in the arena. They give extra resources including health
With this build is their any suggestions to below 50 and no ring? I do great damage but nothing really good in the way of heals yet
keep your mender up and use your harness magicka a lot. get good at this, and you'll do great on any mag character

swarm mother if you will never do group content with the monster set, domi if you are looking for something to invest in that can be good in a group as a 2 piece set. its up to you :)

Hey ivan, it will do ok at first though later on when you start fighting good players you will likely need to switch to a proper pvp build for pvp

Richochet skull iv 4407 damage now. Shocking siphon 8917 now. Consuming trap iii 7338 now. Your video will help me to play as dps initially but they nerfed the necro so bad it's just not a GOD anymore. Real shame. Thx for the video.
I main a mag necromancer and the only skills that I dont use on mine are the morphed soul trap and the elemental drain ability, im not too sure if I should start running them or not
They are largely for sustain, which you wont usually need unless you are in a longer fight like in vateshran hallows. if you are killing overland content, or doing group content with a healer and synergies you can forego one or both of these depending on how well you sustain
Please explain what's differ between solo vs PVE?
Pve is player vs environment. So you against the computer mobs. Solo just means your by yourself and don't have a group with you. So no healer standing behind you healing you and no tank in front of you tanking all of the enemies. This is a solo pve build
would you recommend this build over vampire necromancer?
I prefer to not be vampire in the current patch. We will see what the future holds!

Just made a redguard necromancer yesterday , going to go with stamcrow , does race matter when trying this magicka build or it doesnt really matter ?
Race can contribute about a 5% swing in dps. Breton can make sustain easier. But race won't make or break your character by any means

mother's sorrow on the weapon so you have 5 piece FG all the time. Not important if you wear the rest of your mother's sorrow on the body or jewls. Domihaus or swarm for the helm
Hey lucky ghost, I enjoyed your build on your toon. I know I make it more challenging on me when I don't use the recommendation class for necro. I was wondering if you can assist me on a build for my argonian. I enjoy playing that class than any other. It just fit me. Any guidance would be great. I was checking your website, and all your tank builds use Destro staffs. Is that just for the Elemental Blockade? or is there another reason I'm not seeing?
Correct tanks use ele staffs for a couple reasons. Blockade is great for proc ing crusher enchant as you mentioned. Also you can heavy attack with a staff to get magicka back. You can run a bow with caltrops to proc crusher but then you have no way to get magicka back in a pinch!
Am I the only magnecro khajit with high crit and sneak bonus because I just love getting the drop in pvp while not being a night blade. It really passes people off

@@knobsstrings no different while wearing 1 piece. But if you ever take the ring of pale order off for group content or otherwise, the dominhaus 2 piece bonus is 100x more useful. So I elect to gold out piece domi if I can so that I can use 2 pc domi if I need. But you're right at 1 piece it is the same

Good question! I think because I have thousands of hours on the necro class, the weaving of blast bones comes very natural so it felt good! for the average player I think nightblade will feel safer because your swallow soul is still returning life even if you let your dots slip. Its hard to say because each time I run the vVH I become a little more comfortable with all of the mechanics. Hardest was definitely the stamcro. Not only because he was first but because he was melee. Im interested to see how the next stam toon feels!

Just fill them all from the bottom evenly, that will be 99.9% efficient due to diminishing returns per point spent

Depends. If you want to do difficult content later i would choose a mag race and start fresh. If you just wanna quest any race is fine!

spread them around. The first points in each are the most effective, with diminishing returns there after. So just spread them in! :)

Is there any fool proof class/build that can run Maelstrom Arena without any issues in basic craftable/brought gears?
Yes you could do it on any class :) Its a lot about mechanics in the arenas. For a new player, Easiest might be the mag blade build I put out because your primary attack is a heal so forgetting to reapply dots isn't as fatal
I’m running a solo necro that’s very similar to this one, and he blows through Maelstrom. Haven’t tried it on Vateshran yet. Wearing Julianos (craftable), Mother’s Sorrow (overland), and Iceheart (DFK monster set, pretty easy). There are definitely better sets I could be wearing, but if you’re looking for a beginner-gear build you could do a lot worse.
@@LuckyGhost I'll give it a try. I run a solo summoner build for the most part I have no issues with most things. Just in the arena i just cant seem to keep shields up. I live in a rural area and my ping 600-700 on a good day (satellite internet) That'y why I was asking if there was something that was basic and easy to run which if i mistimed a spell it wasnt a restart a round. Even went out grab Ring of the Pale Order which helps but still isnt enough.

The key to surviving with ring of pale order is to keep at least 3 or 4 dots ticking on the boss at all times
Why ppl don’t use treasure hunter over mother’s sorrow? It give more crit
because its 5 piece is giving you major prophecy, which you already get from your potion, so its actually less than mother's sorrow cus you cant get a named buff twice. so the buff on the armor does nothing when potion is active. TLDR we get that buff from a potion, so you're better off using MS or Medusa
I could tolerate the combat in this game a lot more if they did away with the entire idea of bar swapping to use skills. This build is pretty strong, what I don't like about it is how frequently you have to bar swap, the damaging skills on the back bar, the dots, I believe have 10 second CDs. If you want to keep those rolling, which you do, it just requires so much back and forth. In the end I found while under perfect circumstances I could parse higher numbers with this build compared to some of my similarly geared other classes, in practical use my damage was either lower or I had to work harder to get the same damage. Obviously plenty of people better at this game than me so mileage may vary but just for me, I found magsorc a bit more palatable. Don't have to bar swap quite as much and in practical use output is similar.
try out the stamplar very little barswapping!

I just hit level 50 and i feel like im having a hard time staying alive right now:/ im doing the zombie farm and I cant sustain health long enough to survive is it the gear im missing or am i just bad?
yeah you dont have gear, or passives yet. your sustain is probably rough. you're low level, you're supposed to feel a bit weak at this point :) it will get better, it will help a lot when you get to 160, get your gear and get your ring on, in the mean time keep your mender up so its always healing you. make sure to use food as well
do solo builds work well in groups?
yeah, some do. I make mine specifically so they will work well in both group and solo content. just take of the ROPO and put on a full monster set if you have a healer

What shoulders should I use?
if wearing ring of pale order, wear the set that should have been on the ring finger. if not wearing ring of pale order, wear a shoulder that matches your monster set, like iceheart

As I'm just returning to eso I went from mag sorc to mag necro for a switch in game play. I was snooping around not much seen ring of pale order nerf. Is this build still viable for 2d in 2021? Or was ring of pale order hit too hard? I like mag sorc bc of crit surge heal n damage. Please haaaallllllppppp
