Because the issue is that the Brazilian league doesn’t pay well, the reason it’s better now than 10 years ago is because of the pay cuts, now they have more talented players, but everyone wants to go to Europe to get payed better. When they’re not good enough by their mid 20s & they’re still not good, they’d rather go to mls at least to get payed more.
It’s rare to play in the Brazilian league & get called up to the national team. Unless you’re super young, or a veteran that came back from europe.
