If they think its betrayal, they definitely dont have a strong passion for Brazilian football and dont understand the message he wants to bring across and let the Brazilian team and management know.
Ronaldinho is one of the best, legendary, and nicest foootball player of the world, and for him to say something like this has to show you how serious it has gotten. I know his heart hurts each time he sees his national team draw an match that should've been an easily won or lose to a lesser competent team because i know mine does.
I stand with Ronaldinho, the Brazilian legend. 🇧🇷

For me as a Croat, Ronaldinho is the best player ever... when i was a kid every kid in Croatia wanted to play like him, me and my friends used to play football from the morning until the night came, just because of him, he made every kid to fall in love in football, every fan from around the world loved him, Messi and Ronaldo might be the best by rewards but Ronaldinho is football it self

Brazil stopped playing beautifully a long time ago. Since the 1994 WC they have been playing a safety first style. Brazil still lives on old glory (1958 - 70).

Actually the last time Brazil played Samba-style football which is inherent in their culture was 1986 led by the fabulous, Socrates, Zico, Falcao and striker Careca..In '94 they were a bit cagey but efficient with elements of European pragmatism. Same applies to 2002..The Golden era of 1958-70 will always be THE REFERENCE of Brazilian football..

It's not only Brazil. Many International sides have lost their identities, their footballing cultures - the facets which made them unique and the game genuinely diverse. Brazil has lost their flair, spontaneity and lethal attacks, Germany: their relentless nature, excellent organisation and clinical attack, Italy their rock solid defense, dangerous counters and classic number 10's, Holland their total football and artistry... It's all become very homogeneous, very robotic.
Too many teams are trying to emulate the great Spanish team circa 2008 - 2012 and Barca under Pep, but none manage to get close and only manage to stifle individual talent and personalities, and play a more restrained brand of football with too many sideways passes.

In the past 10 years the team can barely string together a team effort counter that is fast, accurate and lethal… the defense is not reliable, there is no midfield, and we have had a sequence of seasonal fordwards (Cebolinha, anthony, gabriel jesus, richarlison, etc). Neymar was the last real talent, but was busier with social media and parties than real practice. All football changed, not just the brazilian football. Europeans used to play nice football too, in the 90s and the 2000s. Roberto Baggio is european, not brazilian. Puskas, Hagi, etc. Cristiano Ronaldo when he was young at Man United he was amazing, an amazing winger. Iniesta, Xavi, Robben, Ribery, Nasri, T.Henry, Rooney, Lampard, Ballack, Del Piero, M. Owen, Defoe, etc. But the money changed football. Now they care more about the win than they care about entertaining their own fans. The money has ruined football.. and the coaches are guilty of changing the football. Now, football has became too technical. No player dribbles anymore. No player tries to score from long range. I stopped watching football since a decade ago. The football I grew up with in the 90s and 2000s, has died.

People need to realize that futbol world wide has evolved, what used to work before, will not work now. Eventually, the world would figure out how to beat Brazil, therefore Brazil has to evolve as well. Juego bonito, will no longer carry the Brazil team. Creative forwards can't dance their way into goal anymore, we have fullbacks and center backs who are stronger and are as fast if not faster than some forwards. As futbol fans we should stop living in the past and instead appreciate the wonderful memories.
