It's so good to see that jazz is alive and well in South Africa! Also, it's great to see your excellent musicianship my Sister. Grace, Peace and Ubuntu ~R
The best music I have ever heard is when I'm practicing for myself without recording. I don't know why, and it's incredibly frustrating that I cannot capture it. I improvise and get into an amazing zone that I am completely unable to get into when I'm aware someone is listening. Just the knowledge that someone is listening dries up my voice completely. The best performance I ever gave was for one gardener outside a gig I was rehearsing for while I was warming up scales. Your videos are awesome, and you open my musical mind. Going to learn some bebop
Record for 3 hours in a row and forget about it, edit out the good bits. I just did that , and got some better than my usual stuff (posted on YT. A bit of a hack , trying to be less random )
A very good tutorial. I'm working on this beautiful composition too. Some of your changes are very nice. Not what you normally see on a lead sheet. I would like to hear you do this on acoustic grand. But quite nice as you work things out in practice.
Take a song you can play well and transpose to DB. For example, if the is a song you can play in C, move everything up a half-step and you will be in DB.
This is really interesting stuff. I'm a beginner level player who finds the traditional classical music focused methods of piano tuition incredibly boring. I just want to skip that and go straight to learning Jazz!
@@thembelihledunjana thanks for responding. I was asking if you can make a gospel tutorial? If yes can you make a tutorial on the song "Praise Him in Advance" by Marvin Sapp. I love the way you teach from you very first video I watched. I've seen different videos on that song but I just can't get their tutorials. But I know if you make a tutorial on that It will be easy for me. 🙏
Great lecture but I'm worried you are drinking sprite zero to hydrate yourself why not sip on some water on a big black or brown bottle, mybe with a little bit of lemon if the water taste is boring for you. As you grow into it pure plain water will be the best taste and option for you lol...
@@thembelihledunjana At the end you will have to compose some soul healing fermenenine energy music you draw straight from the Source. You won't be needing those kinds of blockages to go deep within.

@@thembelihledunjana You don't really like it, you may be addicted to it, say it like it is to yourself to face the truth and reality
@LufunoManwadu nice.
