Congratulations Dan @ RCMadLabz. This is the endorsement that your product needs to go to the next level. I have used this product with similar results. Merry Christmas to all
I’ve installed a couple of these kits and they are the only brace that actually saves the chassis. Combine it with the M2c motor mount and it’s indestructible.
Glad I found this... Checked out other braces, but none would have helped in the hinge pin area where my Outcast 4s V2 broke. So I'm converting mine to a Kraton now. Also converting my 6s Kraton to a Talion EXB, but that's another story all together.
One thing I noticed was no slot for the spur gear clean out. I cut out a slot for mine in the chassis but with this plate installed wondering if you cut one in the brace plate if it would start cracking where the slot would be? Any thoughts on this? Specially if your not using the dust cover, is it running hotter with that installed and what were the outside temps when you were using it?
if anyone wants to see this chassis brace in full abuse action as a hard basher, check out one durability test right here: th-cam.com/video/aZ4lsR3MisA/w-d-xo.html @5:41 IMHO is one of the most important pieces in this kit, especially when shuckin' the sends off a doodoo ramp like i do. Folks, check out the unintended acrobatics off of my doody ramp with this brace on it. The already broken chassis alone wouldn't have survived much longer without it. i'm stoked to see how far i can push the broken one with the MadLabz brace. I have an outcast extreme duty brace also on order PRE-bash install this time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥 @11:11 that is EXACTLY what it does now. it's more of a floater across the terrain
i agree! some might say it even rides better. there is only slightly added weight that gives it a more stick to the ground feel, a little lower center of gravity seems to help keep all four boots on the ground in tighter runs.
Redcat did/used those mesh chassis covers. They did keep some dust outta the chassis, BUT heat from esc & motors increased 2 fold. Much easier (for us) to shake out the dirt & keep the motor/esc 50+ degrees cooler. (Idk if it's the same mesh or not.)
I've ran a mesh hr cover 1 time on a slash platinum and that mesh made the esc and motor run so hot I was worried I'd burn them up. Torn it off and never ran one ever again.
Big K! fam! that's the only reason i chose this plate because of how much actual chassis it covers. I actually installed it on a broken chassis and it holds up to some super slappy sends. again, it's holding up like a new truck only mine is broken AF. once i replace the chassis itself, it'll be even more durable.

i have been impressed time over time. keep trying to kill it tho and not even the broken chassis i put it on will die. HAHA
Nice to hear. I was deciding between this and the m2c

I may need that for my outcast v2

Very nice install Joe, doesn't look it added a lot of weigh which is nice. Can't wait to see the next running video 👍

👍😁
What's the best 4s lipo for this /performance and time

I use the mesh covers when the outside temp is below 60 degrees....otherwise it definitely makes the motor and esc run much hotter.
Omg that's awesome brilliant video mate 👏👍
Hi. I know this is old video but just bought a brace for newest K4s v2.5. Any tuning changes you’d recommend to handle added weight?
Hey you still using that dust cover ? No problems with heat ? I am looking for one for my Kraton 4S V2.
What sized nut driver do i use? it says 2.5 mm but it still wont fit. What am i missing?
Did they actually use Comic sans for the instructions :D
Was this the 3mm or 5mm plate ?
Great vid , very thorough 👌
Plate to big. Big pass on it. Teach its own
Just cut some the side off to suit your needs family

Background music "singing" distracts from the video and really doesn't go with the type of video this is.
Too loud?
