Everyone i know who has this plane, including me has had the same ongoing problem with the landing gear, losing those pins. And when you put new ones in, if you can even find them. You have to get the pins in the perfect spot. Otherwise the gear won't rotate right to retract. It takes like 5 cycle to get them right again. Other than that it's a great plane.
My first real scale model was a F4U from Jamara... This plane was so awesome. It had a 15CC nitro 2 stroke on it.. Such a delight flying and seeing it in the air.
Great job! This is a great setup war bird fans that want a good well built plane with safty features built in..get into trouble just hit thr safe switch..
I have the Arrows 1.2 F4U and it is almost identical but I think it had nicer detail - I modified it with scale flaps and bigger wheels and square wheel wells as per scale with gear doors - flies beautifully but looks better than it flies
Thanks as always, if you are into foamies , why do you still do the building of balsa gas ones. I am just curious because i found it too difficult and a hassle to do the balsa, gas and plumping!
@@HobbyView thanks. I wish I have your knowledge in balsa and building them. Best of the luck, and thanks for making your videos interesting and fun. 🤩
In all of the Horizon 1.2m planes, I like the Spitfire the best, then the Corsair, then the Mustang, and the P47 is last. (Based on the way they fly and land) Of course, the T-28 is always a blast to fly, but I don't compare it with the others, since it is not a traditional tail-dragger war bird.
I’m really curious the performance difference between the stock prop and “modified” lol. That was very effective lol. Good looking good flying plane, Eflite rarely misses
I had a change to fly another one with the four blade on 4S and it was a bit faster and somewhat better climb performance. But it didn't sound as aggressive.
@@HobbyView broke one blade on mine during a dumb thumb moment. Cut the 3rd off and rebalanced. Flys way faster. My esc may go. But thats why i use a separate bec and 800mah receiver battery. Flys and vertices better. Blue skies
It actually functions better with only 2 blades. 4 blades is too much power for such a little and light weight model. Figure the scale amount of weight, add it to the model, then install a new 4 blade prop. You'll see a more actuated realistic flying, and handling. Great job, and good info.
I like your channel but, ive noticed your buy a lot of pre-made models...fun for old makers, but if you want to be an old school maker - kinda sucky having someone make it for you.
Pre-Made (ARFs) are the vast majority and where the market is. If you look though my video catalog you will see several balsa kits and scratch-build I've done a while back. Also check out the AMA's TH-cam page where I've reviewed nearly a half dozen balsa kits I've built for their magazine review: www.youtube.com/@modelaircraft/videos Cheers.
Breaking a 4 blade into a 2 blade, taxing BACKWORDS. What a fun video.
Good job on flying considering the crazy wind.
Pretty Great landing at the end!
I changed the Wheels on my plane. Same size but softer and fatter tires… now waiting for good weather …

Definitely my next plane . Thanks for the set up and flight demonstration.
Love your videos,,, Slow, precise, enjoyable,,, not rushed,,,,Thanks,,,,

So glad I found your channel. Excellent and honest reviews! TY!
I enjoyed your video very much. I will be looking forward to more of your videos. Great work.
Usual great quality vid, Fitz! Beautiful plane and execution of its abilities, including the "reverse taxi"! Lee did a great job on camera, as usual!
Duane Cole level landing and backward taxi!😂
So cool!! Field repair at its best !!
You are very lucky you found that pin. They are very hard to find to buy new ones if you lose them.
My favorite!! The F4U - Corsair
Awesome video! Great quality and very informative while having fun. Congrats!

I like all models and enjoy the process of building balsa and gas ones.

I always fix my models with a sledgehammer 😊. Great video review.
I love it!! Thanks for sharing.
I just picked one up I'm going full fpv video coming soon
That's cute. But it's the big Savage Bobber flight review I'm excited about.
I'd like to see one fly before dropping the cash.
Please.
Great Demo, Loved the show.
that`s it, i need this in my life

GREAT REVIEW FITZ !
Where did you find that amazing hat?
hello,
where did you get those Marines decals
I'd like to put some on my corsair also
thanks
Hank
Decals come with kit. You should be able to order them separately from Horizon Hobby.
@@HobbyView well, we did a search at HH for marines decals and corsair decals but No luck'
I'll try an email and see what they say
thanks
Hank

it will fly proud for the usmc boys
Very cool, fun video!
Is the landing gear strong?

What's that noise 🤔
Must be the wind...
Is this plane good for beginners?
No, I would not recommend it for beginners.
Wheres Pappy??
Great video.
Hhhhmmmm....sounds like an insider tip that Horizon may be putting a 1.2m Zero out soon?
what is the stall speed for these models?
more or less
thanks
Hank
Varies greatly. I'd guess about 10-20 mph
1.2 zero by eflite......🥰😎🥰

Hello pour avoir eu cet Avion je peut dire qu'il ne fonctionne absolument pas .. !!!!!
Qu'est-ce qui n'a pas fonctionné sur votre modèle ?
Air intake and gun locations look unfinished
Extra blades are over rated!
