Yes man! I'm rebuilding mine that got damaged. Desperately looking for the bottom fan cover. Hopefully I can find an old one at a repair shop here in South Africa.
My Dear Brother Dean, another excellent repair which saved the working man some money to buy some Christmas presents for his family/ friends. 🇨🇮🇺🇸👍 God bless you and yours and everyone. 🎁
I get anxiety watching you toss all those parts around! If i did that, i would have three extra parts, it would catch on fire, blow up in my face, and never work again. It's awesome to see how good you are with these.
Thanks to your videos I was able to disassemble my hammer drill, Service it An check for any bad parts. Luckily all parts were fine Cause i always take care of my equipment.
I keep waiting for you to holler “time” when you get done taking the shit apart.. lol. Just the way you toss stuff and get into the things faster than a crackhead running towards the sound of dropped change.. Reminds me though i gotta take apart my old portercable sawzall . Back when porter cable was decent.. saws lasted me 17 years of hard work.. 4 sets of brushes, 2 sets of bearings,,a new tool holder and end plate.. lasted longer than your high dollar yellow and blue stuff..
Just found your channel and it's so interesting. Great content and great learnings to be taken too. What's the name of the business you work at so I can bring my tools in in Ireland. Also what camera and setup do you use, the footage is crispy! Thanks
100$ gets you a Makita SDS Drill, though not sure on pricing internationally but my HR2470 was 115$ and well worth it. Im always surprised how cheaply Makita is able to sell some of their tools despite them being your good ol Makita: Well designed and repairable.
Would you say that more frequent servicing (or at least grease top-ups) would have let those gears live longer? Feels like they it ought to last the lifetime of the comm bar when you would be replacing the armature (or scrapping it off) anyway.
Use to do loads of them. But stopped taking them in now. To much trouble. Hilit have a built in red light death timer built in, so there ant worth working on.
Dean, I've got a 6 month old DWS780 305mm 110v mitre saw and it's sputtering on start up almost like the belt is slipping bit this thing cuts out and starts a couple of times whilst the trigger is still engaged, what's the best course of action for me to take? Please
Do you have enough power coming to it because I have noticed that on the 240v french model if you use an extension cord not thick enough or and have the electric board not giving enough power it does that. Hope that helped you 😉
This really quenching my thirst to take things apart, thanks for the knowledge deano
Another one rescued - nice one Dean

My wife says ,how many drills has that man got ,your always watching him ,what does he do with all those drills .
That's not even half of them 😆
A+ work as always Dean. There are a lot of hammers in Ireland. Are they using them to break up old castles?
houses here are build out of concrete, every trades man here, plumbers, building, electricians even carpenters will have some brand of hammer.
Nice

Top tip, with cutting the flex/cable short and take the worn area out!!
Would you ever repair a Hilti

Good video now i can go back to bed you must be a wiha dealer you have enough of their tools gives you the chance for product evaluation
Nope, strangly enough the shop I work for dosent sell wiha tools. No sale reps for them around here.
Peening the tool holder with sharp punch around where the balls wore
Lots of hours on that unit for it to shave the teeth away like that
