I really wanted to get one of this model, I love the transperency if it! I am however glad I didn't, I have the PS4 from the Uncharted 4/Nathan Drake collection. I take my PS4 all over the place so I bought extra power cords & HDMI cables to save the hassle of removing and replacing my home cables, I just keep the extra set in my go bag. I was pleased to see the PS4 pro I bought uses the same power cable as my old PS4 so I don't have to go buy new cables for my go bag. I am however wondering when Sony changed the DS4? My old ones don't glow at the top of the touch pad, just the MOCAP light and my old ones feel heavier than the one that came with my pro.. and yes all my controllers are officially licensed first party Sony brand. The reason why it’s light blue is because it’s a white light when the PS4 is on and since the plastic is transparent while being blue it turns it into a lighter shade of blue. When ur turning the PS4 on or off it will turn blue which turns into a darker shade of blue(what you saw when you powered it on). Of course don’t forget about the orange as well when it is in sleep mode.
You are looking at something you can invest in. There isn't that much to invest in, but as the future nears this PS4 will be passed to your son and in that time zone, the console will be a relic.
