This is suppose to track the orbital timing of every planet in our solar system with 99.8 % accuracy. Unfortunately they would have to concede that they lose out on that certain 20% of that percentage because they omit the 9th and 10th planets - Pluto & Planet X. So it’s only 79.8% accurate in the orbital timing of every planet of our solar system.
This is a great model but the problem is that it still represents the solar system as motionless and the planets revolving around a stationary sun. Kids should see animations of the Helical model of the solar system to see as it would really look in complete motion. If someone can figure out how to make a working model of that, it would be a great science project.
Pluto wouldn't fit. 1: it's not a planet. 2: it's orbit is extremely elliptical, cutting through Neptune and Uranus's orbit, which would be impossible to do on this structure. 3: it would mess up the octagonal base, that is at the bottom displaying the positions of all the planets.

Yeah the Lego Ideas page says this: "Also included within the base are a motor and battery box to fully motorize the model."

Having a light strong enough, all the more in a rotating LEGO part would be really technically challenging so it's really not likely.

It seems like this set tracks the orbit relative to the sun, and not exact angles or distances, so adding another planet would probably be easy.
