"Sirens" from de original soundtrack of the film "Sinbad: legen of the seven seas" composed y Harry Gregson-Williams. Enjoy! ;) If you want the mp3 of this track, go to www.mediaconverter.org
One of the few songs I can listen to literally ten x's in a row without getting tired of it. Incredible sonorous score, beautifully orchestrated, all the siren's voices in just the right place to make this a terrifying treat for the ears.
I love this song. I just had to get the mp3 for it. now I listen to it nonstop and such. This song inspired me to create a character for a story. XD Sorry if I'm rambling.
0:22-0:30 "Sinbad, Sin-ba-a-ad, Sinbad, Sin-ba-a-ad...." 2:34-2:45 "Take! Them! With! Take! Them! With!" (like, take them with us) I wish I could see how they recorded that, like if it was all in one take. It's just so amazing!
I would recommend "Into the Forest" from the Corpse Bride soundtrack (starts slow but pays off around the 2min mark). Also 'Narnia Lullaby' from the first Narnia movie, 'Didn't Leave Nobody but the Baby' from 'O Brother Where art thou'. Also consider looking into 'epic' trailer music. I love creepy atmospheric orchestrals, The search is ongoing! Hope this helps.
I kinda feel sorry for sirens cos they are souls of women who were unable to love and so they are now trapped in an unbreakable spirit body forced to roam the earth and seas forever... so sad T_T
One story I was told was that Mermaids only become Sirens after they're scored by a lover; Before then, they attempt to catch sailors and marry them, either un-intentionally drowning them or else blessing them with the gift to become mer-men themselves.
My suggestion is to look for older music. But music I came upon while listning to this include's: O Death - Jen Titus, Come Little Children - Sarah Jessica Parker, Mordred's Lullaby - Heather Dale, and Pangur Ban - Christen Mooney. Perhaps none of them are what you are looking for, and perhaps all of them are.
The sirens singing sounds real beautiful and yet eerie at the same time but sirens are the mythical creatures that all sailors should keep an eye out for because once the sailors see the sirens and they start that eerie singing they'll lure them in until they're close enough and then drown them
Well you sir are mistaken they are in fact beautiful and have heavenly voices they used to be winged until the goddess Hera, wife of zues, took their wings. there are of course many versions and different stories and that's the good thing about mythology :D you can pick anyone you like :p
Firstly: K, Bye! Second: It's the goddess Artemis, because she's pretty dang awesome. Third: I DID reply! *insert evil laugh here* Fourth: That Ashe person DOES look cool though... Fifth: CANDY!!
@x0EvilReaper0x Actually you and AlhambraMusic are both right. The sirens were originally half woman half bird but they were changed to appear like just regular sea nymphs. This is explained in that the siren's were deprived of their feathers by the Muse's for daring to be better than them in song.
in greek mythology half woman-half birds who had amazing, beautiful voices and they called as sirens...but there are from other countries myths about sirens like mermaid and it is different from place to place :)
Firstly: I'm a girl. Second: I posted this like, 3 years ago. Third: You are right about greek mythology having many different versions of many different stories, so technically, I am right, because that is one version. Fourth: Chocolate.
Well In Greek Mythology, Sirens are portrayed as ugly bird ladies that lure sailors to thier deaths by drowning, or they eat the sailors. Sometimes it is said that the music distracts the sailors from thier ugliness and makes them think the sirens are beautiful women. I say this because Sinbad revolves around Greek mythology.
does anyone know any music that sounds like this? dramatic, tragic, horror-ish. using all those layers of voices? (WITHOUT any of the modern electrical sounds you can get now!)
This part always was weird in the movie. I didnt like the sirens they always freaked me out. I would be scared if I was in her situation in the movie when all the crew is in a daze spell and she is the only one who can do something about it. The ending of the song always gives me chills. :)
@hanyuu05 lol a lot of ppl think tht but i studied them on a collage trip too a museum and in various books and websites and it all leads to this result if u read what i read and saw the info i saw lol i put an obsessive amount of research into the sirens for an art project lol
Firstly: apologies for my mistake Second: it's 9 months and i wasn't really expecting a reply xD Third: Me right makes you right. makes sense. Fourth: is that Ashe? O_O Fifth: COOKIES!!!
@AlhambraMusic True but I believe there are two or three different types of sirens. Mermaids are just one. Then again I can be wrong. I've been doing alot of researched on greek mythology here so i'm a bit confused. i get something different every time.
Eris wasnt the only and all-powerful goddess, she DIDNT own Tartarus that was Hades, Sirens origionate from Homer's Odyssey and were independent, several of those monsters were described but had NOTHING to do with Eris, and Syracuse (though proudly greek,) is actually in Sicily. Its a great story, but it doesnt really follow Greek mythology all that well.
@4everbiebergirl1 What's funny is that in the movie Sinbad, the sirens had legs, but the legs were always together, like attatched or something, so it's almost like they're mermaids with tails. I'm guessing they had legs in the movie as an easier way to...seduce? I don't really like saying it, but I kinda think that's the reason :/ Oh well, since when did any myth-based movie get everything the same from original stories anyway? This is their own creative versions of sirens. :)
@luckystar283 uhhhh..no. ur saying that they're like ghosts but thats not true they were mythlogical creatures to seduce men to their doom to protect their home.
guys i'm greek and in our mythology sirens are birds with the heads of beautiful women they are related to water, death and love but what they really are is evil creatures who with their voices they were makin' men crazy so they can eat them
Firstly : it's not What but Who's Ashe. and that Bow lady there looked like Ashe from league of legends you can look her up Second: (i got nothing too) Third : you really can stop replying cause im an addict if you reply i MUST reply Fourth: PIE !!!
Homer's Odyssey comes from Greek mythology , it's like the one of many sources that's all , the movie isn't following any actual mythology or lore anyway they just put some awesome stuff together to produce this . i mean Sindbad is Arab most of the others things are Greek and the fuck is that book of peace anyway !
@AlhambraMusic Yes, the original sirens (which have the same Indo-European origins Sinbad supposedly has, although the original Sinbad was actually based on Muslim beleifs) had legs. :o AND WINGS! TV LIES! 0.0
One of the few songs I can listen to literally ten x's in a row without getting tired of it. Incredible sonorous score, beautifully orchestrated, all the siren's voices in just the right place to make this a terrifying treat for the ears.
Lovely and enchanting. I cant stop listening to it over and over again.
Ever since I heard this when I first saw the film on BBC1, I thought 'what a alluringly beguilling piece!'. Really good piece of work.

I love this song. I just had to get the mp3 for it. now I listen to it nonstop and such. This song inspired me to create a character for a story.

2:34-2:45 "Take! Them! With! Take! Them! With!" (like, take them with us)
I wish I could see how they recorded that, like if it was all in one take. It's just so amazing!
I thought they were saying "sing with us, sing with uuuuus, uuuuus" and "no! Don't go! No! Don't go!" 😂
I love this!

You'll have people in the room wondering what mermaids you see, become a spammer on someone's page, and end up with a wet hand.
I kinda feel sorry for sirens cos they are souls of women who were unable to love and so they are now trapped in an unbreakable spirit body forced to roam the earth and seas forever... so sad T_T
eris is so evil, but amazing at the same time.... her and jigsaw are some of my favorite villians

My suggestion is to look for older music. But music I came upon while listning to this include's: O Death - Jen Titus, Come Little Children - Sarah Jessica Parker, Mordred's Lullaby - Heather Dale, and Pangur Ban - Christen Mooney.

Firstly: What's Ashe?
Second: (I have nothing to put here)
Third: Marshmallows!
Mermaids trick the sailors to come them and drowning them ships and all while sirens sing to make them crash the ship and eat I think.
they're not really what i was looking for, but thanks anyway
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Well you sir are mistaken they are in fact beautiful and have heavenly voices they used to be winged until the goddess Hera, wife of zues, took their wings.

@x0EvilReaper0x Actually you and AlhambraMusic are both right. The sirens were originally half woman half bird but they were changed to appear like just regular sea nymphs. This is explained in that the siren's were deprived of their feathers by the Muse's for daring to be better than them in song.
@ILoveMusic4ever421 Odysesseus was a legendary king from Ithaca in Greek Mythology. He appears in some of Homer's poems.
Someday I'm going to learn this song and make a fandub of it.
"Know who's bad? SINbad." :D
Why is it that I like almost every moviescore when there are mermaids/sirens involved?
Im Your 13,000th View :D
Great song. lol : Just put it on my iPod.
@jellybean0380 I totally agree! I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a video putting the two together soon.
god tier
@tsukiomilover omg it does totally remind me of Diva's song. Awesome!! It's like Diva's song with a swashbucking twist to it
in greek mythology half woman-half birds who had amazing, beautiful voices and they called as sirens...but there are from other countries myths about sirens like mermaid and it is different from place to place :)

@AlhambraMusic yes very true mermaids do have the power of sirening but in the movie the sirens had legs?!
That's right and I know because I'm an Egyptian :)
Looking at the first picture, did the dog follow the two to Eris' world?
combine this video and another video from TH-cam with the sound of rain, and voila!
@hanyuu05 lol a lot of ppl think tht but i studied them on a collage trip too a museum and in various books and websites and it all leads to this result if u read what i read and saw the info i saw lol i put an obsessive amount of research into the sirens for an art project lol
reminds me of diva and her song (from blood plus) XD

Does anyone have any idea... who sung the Sirens?

UGH, MEN!
@AlhambraMusic uh huh but mermaids are sirens because the also sing to hypnotize men
who's BAD...sinBAD!!! :))
they were calling Sinbads name at the begginging creepy did anyone else notice that?
@luckystar283 I thought they were creatures that just like to lure men to their deaths by enchanting them withtheir singing
well Eris could be coming from the Greek mythology but Sinbad himself actually originates from Arab stories.
@sakarumi no you're not :)
" Mermaid " is " Sirène " in french. Si I guess it's the same.
That's it
@sakarumi DUDE SAME!!!! ehheheh i listen to this to get inspired to make a new and exotic character from some fantasy world!
Sirens came form greek legend not Homer's Odyssey. In my opinon this story was a mix of different fav thngs from different myths.
@BrandonWestbrook1993 well sorry i'm not a native speaker so i didn't know it means only that -.-
this theme reminds me of mermaids
@AlhambraMusic Yes, the original sirens (which have the same Indo-European origins Sinbad supposedly has, although the original Sinbad was actually based on Muslim beleifs) had legs. :o AND WINGS!
TV LIES! 0.0
@tsukiomilover Totally! Diva's song is creepier though
