So proud for her. She truly epitomizes what a woman can do. So happy we have gotten to see her on Tuesdays for practice in P’cola the last two years and will give her a wave goodbye this Friday at Homecoming. Good luck in the future Amanda.
I am absolutely stoked to see Amanda on the team. I've been a Blue Angels fan forever and even have a Blue Angels commemorative chronograph I wear every day. I wish my grand daughter could have gone into this field. She wanted to fly so badly, but her eyesight kept her from being able to go into the military. Congratulations to Amanda for making the team. It's not the fact you are a woman, but the fact you are an outstanding pilot who deserves the gig. Fly safely.
I am incredibly grateful to LCDR Amanda Lee, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and their Public Relations team for their support in producing this project. I also want to give a shout-out to a few content creators who generously shared their footage featured in this video, including Laura Bogan, Mike Bilek, and Spencer Hughes! Thank you!!
Great video documentary and this Lady Vet is overjoyed to hear this story of LCDR Amanda Lee & The Blue Angels. Coming from the era where women were just being allowed into the Service Academies & Commissioning sources, this story has more meaning & hits very deep for our generation of servicewomen. Well done & YES! Amanda, we never know WHO we're going to inspire by doing our best in the lane God has us in! Keep Flying High, Young Lady!! Blessings Always!!!
LCDR Lee....You ARE absolutely inspirational and amazing! As are your incredible colleagues. I am so proud to be an American and to have our Blue Angels representing all of us in this wonderful country. God bless you all and keep you safe!
Amanda Lee's has the toughest of the blue angels, she is No. 4 and has the toughest work when they fly diamat, she has No-1 in front and No-2 and No-3 right and left. She is a very good pilot in the navy.
Congratulations to Lt. Commander Amanda Lee, This Lady is a Shining light in the Aviation World & by that I mean the Lady has Concur Ed the Elements once bound by us Boys in the Field of Flight. May you be the First of many to come Young Lady. A Credit to the Service you are & that shining light for not Just the Girls but us Guys to Ascend to as well. Respectfully...
Absolutely amazing performance today! So proud of you Amanda and the Blue Angels!!! I was thrilled to be there and for my son to volunteer at the event and see the performances today. The precision was perfect. My son wants to be a pilot. I wasn’t able to and got admitted to West Point instead of Naval Academy. Being a Blue Angel was my dream. I cry to this day as it didn’t happen but so proud to see you represent for those of us who aspired to do what you do! 🎉❤❤
Congratulations, LCDR Amanda Lee! It was so impressive to see you being selected in “The Blue Angels” movie, and seeing you again in this presentation after your first tours really brought tears to my eyes. Well done. You’re an inspiration beyond all imagination.
I was in the first VA-106 Gladiators during Vietnam. We flew the A4E Skyhawks, great squadron. I'm so proud to see you from VFA-106 continue the legacy. God bless you in all of your journey.
Maam Congratulations ! on your awesome accomplishment as a Bue Anges Pilot . I Salute you as an Air ForceVeteran & VA Rettiree ! Keep up the good work and Fly Safe Always Maa with our fellow Pilots ! HOOA H !!
Saw her and the rest of the Blues fly in Milwaukee last year. I haven't missed a show there since 2010 aside from rain-outs and the covid-cancelled years. It's a great location for an air show!
Incredible interview providing tremendous insight into this remarkably talented aviator. Her journey to the slot position IS so amazing and inspiring. I am sure she can do anything she sets her sights on. Thank you!
All I can say is WOW! After watching the documentary and now watching it live for the first time yesterday in Pensacola gave me goose bumps and a new appreciation for the enter team.
Ma’am you are an inspiration to boys & girls who just want to fly! As a retired RN, NP I can absolutely concur that learning to “speak” medical or aviation or any of hundreds of careers ABSOLUTELY IS learning to speak another language! So glad you speak Blue Angels & FA-18’s so well! ♥🇺🇸👍
I did a pivot too! I was a former US Navy Nurse Corps Scholarship student in college in the 1970s. Nursing wasn't a good fit for me so I got an Honorable Discharge and later became a Special Education teacher for 37 years. I was also selected for the US Army Nurse Corps Scholarship, but our family is mostly Navy! I used tobtell my fellow teachers ," I should have stayed in the Navy ! At least I would have had a helmet and a flack jacket!" That's called MASH humor. After Sandy Hook and Uvalde, if you didn't laugh ,you would NEVER STOP CRYING! My Uncle quit high school at age 17 years and was assigned to an Ammunition ship December 7,1941 at Pearl Harbor. I was able to meet many of those Survivors at the annual Summer picnic in the 1960s, not far from Valley Forge Pennsylvania. Pearl Harbor Survivors Association/ Philadelphia chapter. My own father was a former US Naval officer & scientist. Dad helped build the very first Atomic Reactors for Submarines/ Admiral Rickover's program! GO NAVY! 🫡🫡🫡⚓️⛵️⚓️🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
Had family in Pensacola for years, right out the back gate of NAS. I was very impressed when I heard of you making the Blue Angels! Girl(s) dad so I’m all for motivated, inspirational ladies doing amazing things!
Congrats to you and your Mustang Journey, You are very Lucky you had a Chief that recognized your attributes and future contributions to the US Navy. And to fly fixed wing and go to the Blue Angels is a testament to your hard work. I had a CO CDR. Jeff Lee in our Detachment many years ago.
Congrats! Way back in the 1970s I was privileged to be a USMC flight instructor that flew a few flights with two of the first female naval flight students at Milton, FL. Makes me proud to watch this story knowing that I had a tiny, tiny role in this great story. The Blues are the absolute best at what they do!
I met her at the Blue Angels performance in Vidalia, Ga in April this year. She was very nice. She is tall and we joked about having a special seat made for her.
By far the best interview I’ve seen of Lcdr Lee. What an inspirational story. I can’t imagine the impact she is having performing for and meeting countless young people across the country. 🇺🇸
Another fabulous one. I hope you get the opportunity for a less formal interview with her when she leaves the team and can tell some funny stories or just fun stories from her enlisted to officer and in the cockpit sea stories.
Thanks for a great video. She is a true American hero and I love the Blue Angels. I was just curious how Lcdr. Lee got the code name (call sign?) of "Stalin"? It seems like an unusual moniker for a small town girl from Minnesota. Just wondering.
Great interview. I got to see them at Montgomery earlier in the year - they looked amazing as always. And unsurprisingly, she was the hardest autograph to get after the show lol.
Been a fan of the BA for 50+ years growing up in a Navy family. I spend a week in El Centro watching practices every year. I also watch MKBlues YT channel he films the daily practices there. I was talking with him this year. We concluded you must love barb wire. No slot pilot liked getting closer to that runway fence than you did. Incredible. Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle.
This is why the US Navy is the best in the world. If you show a desire to demonstrate the best of your talents through hard work and commitment, the US Navy will answer your dream.
Lieutenant Commander Amanda Lee, you are an inspiration. I am a facilitator over at the NFA. I don’t know if the hierarchy here has asked you to come speak at our weekly graduation. But I would love for you to do so because we have so many young women here from all over the US and countries abroad, and your story is inspirational. Please think about it.
Those guys where always awesome there offices were in our barracks when I was in A school on NAS Pensacola. They would not wear covers so they did not have to salute the 500 Marines coming out of the barracks. It was kinda of a game we would play with them, see how many salutes we can get out of them.
I saw the Blue Angels in Binghamton, NY last week. On takeoff Lieutenant Commander Lee has to slot into the diamond formation. I know just a little about how navigating an aircraft works. That maneuver is incredibly complex. She is just an incredible Navy Aviator. My Dad flew Hellcats during WW2 and served in the Reserves for 25 years. He would be so thrilled that women can serve in these rolls now.

Glad you enjoyed Milwaukee, we're glad anytime the team swings by our modest little burg 😎
Congratulations, LCDR Amanda Lee! It was so impressive to see you being selected in “The Blue Angels” movie, and seeing you again in this presentation after your first tours really brought tears to my eyes. Well done. You’re an inspiration beyond all imagination.
Thank you for your service to our country. May you fly safely. You are a great person and role model.
I admire these men and women from The U. S. Navy Blue Angels.

Tks for sharing your story , Godbless
Thank God for that Chief who saw her potential! Awesome interview! Can anyone explain why they use the 40lb stick spring?
Just saw the show in Cleveland. Always enjoy when you fine folks come to town. Thank you for a great performance!

Looking forward to seeing you in Fargo later in July. From a fellow Minnesota resident, we're proud of you.
There's only a few pilots per million. Unreal dedication and determination and courage. Proud of all of them for their service to country..God bless.
Awesome video as always. Can’t wait to see LCDR Amanda Lee and the rest of the Blue Angels in Cleveland.
Awesome! Thank you for your dedicated service! ❤️
An admirable young woman, and an awesome role model for girls and boys.
Thank you for doing this video. I was already wondering when we might see more of Amanda. Good job!
Thank you Amanda. You’re an awesome role model for everyone you encounter
Amazing!! I got some Blue Angel autographs when I was young and it was so cool!
She is so inspiring 💙💛
Thank you for your service to this country Ma'am.

We vacationed in Orange Beach AL earlier, was really hoping to see ya'll training
Thanks for a great video. She is a true American hero and I love the Blue Angels. I was just curious how Lcdr. Lee got the code name (call sign?) of "Stalin"? It seems like an unusual moniker for a small town girl from Minnesota. Just wondering.

You have inspired me ever since I heard a female was flying the blue angels last year 2023 in Oceana! Wow!!!

You never fail to deliver Ryan 🏆 🙌
Much appreciated, Mark! Hope all is well!
I am a frustrated airforce pilot in the Philippines because I was rejected for my height 5 feet 2 inches. I am happy to see you flying Ms Amanda Lee

A good chief is everything
She makes a lot of female kids happy and they look up to her.
From one AT to another. GO NAVY!!
Very impressive lady! A great story too about her enlisting and being recognized by a Chief and recommended for an officer path and career.
Great video. Love stuff like this. New subscriber!
Awesome, thank you!
I admire her so much. I have one question as a female isn't with standing the Gs more difficult for her
Hey, they can withstand childbirth! ‘ nuff said….😉
I'm glad to always see former enlisted go officer in aviation. You had a great chief who saw the potential!
You guys need to interview the Chief that pushed B.A.4 in the direction that she needed. Ret Army.
Can’t wait to see the east coast show! Thank you for the C130 ‘Bert/Ernie shout out! ❤

1:00 I happened to spot the diamond had two #7 jets. Must have been a backup/media jet that had recently been painted?
we are proud of our Minnesota women.
she is a true american hero, great video
Keep up n the great work badass.
KING
This is what an actual girl boss looks like. Humble, hardworking, and mature. She earned that blue suit and the accolades that come with it.
Nice job Ryan!
VERY IMPRESSIVE. CONGRATS.
