we are dying to make this but where in los angeles, were we live, can we get batwan? i know there are substitutes (like in other how to make vids), but we prefer to make it with batwan...
Hey, love your show brother, question... what do you suggest a good substitute for batwan. I live in San Franscisco Ca. and can't find a good substitute to make sour soup.
Oh no without batwan the taste will be horrible really, tasted this copycat of cansi in manila and they used sinigang mixed instead of batwan it's the worst cansi you'll ever tasted in your life if you are from bacolod I'm not overreacting but I almost vomited I didn't expected it to taste so different from what I get used to..
Of course It's gonna be very spicy because you sauteed the jalapenos and simmer it for a long time.. 🥵 I'm probably sure the girls would have enjoyed it even more if the chili had been added after simmering to adjust it according to your liking.. 😉
He is not an authentic ilonggo.. There should be tomatoes at langka.. Sobrang daming patis 🤣🤣🤣 Hindi po sinasama ang batwan sa pag gisa🤣🤣🤣 If may tanglad no need na ang Luya.. Proud Bacolodnon here 🤣🤣🤣
For cooking of Cansi we Negrense aside from Batwan we use also leaves of Libas tree for pam passim of soup

you can use any sour whatever you want or sinigang mix if you want, but it will not called ilonggo authentic cansi.

That's a serrano chili not jalapeno.
