  • Made a light Japanese sword Katana mixed from polyester resin and polyester hardener.
    It took a lot of experiments and creation days, but it had a shocking ending lol.

    Try adding poly fiber or fiberglass to enhance strength 💪

    My heart, much like the masterwork resin katana in this video, shattered because of a bottle of water.

  • @alannakendallmorgs783

    maybe a polycarbonate katana. you can have the invisibility concept but not as much wobble in the blade. much harder.

  • @nerored6235
    @nerored6235 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It was a beautiful piece but watching the slow replay, it just had too much flex when it hit the bottle. You could see the shock wave run down the blade from the point of impact. Perhaps, if you decide to remake it, you should insert something in the center to make it more rigid but I'm afraid it might crack and chip anyway. I thought you were just going to mold and cast the blade to begin with, all of that work into properly hand shaping everything must have been both a pleasure and exhausting. Still, love the video very much. Thank you for making it.

    Can you make a video on the katana you use the most. Or a video of your favorite katanas you own would be cool. Great videos, keep up the great work!

      Thank you for your comment and your idea. We would like to make a video with the content of the proposal, but in fact we do not have multiple Japanese swords, so when monetization begins, we would like to increase the number of swords and take an introductory video!

    I think you should have attempted an aluminum can,, they are between the soft organics and the hard plastic. ,,, I can cut drink cans with plenty of swords that won't cut bottles.

    Would it not have been possible to cure the resin at a slight angle in order to create the edge of the blade, and then smooth out the back to give it the right shape? I feel like you might have been able to create a better cutting edge that way. It makes me want to try.

    Awesome video, sad that the sword broke but this saved me hours trying to do this myself. As someone who makes swords mostly from metal i expected this outcome but it held up pretty nicely before it flexed too much and broke so maybe there is some potential...
