I don't think that there's much to explain. Unlike many US promotions, CMLL has a style of promotion that is very easy to get into for new fans (I mean, they literally say whether a luchador is a tecnico (face) or a rudo (heel) during their entrances). A lot of CMLL's matches are 3v3 matches (rudos on one team and tecnicos on the other); because of this, a lot of feuds are more or less "You did something that I didn't like during a 3v3. We should fight.". It sounds simplistic, and it is, but it's usually pretty engaging tbh. Since they haven't had a singles match at all and have recently had a string of 3v3 matches (according to Cagematch), I would assume it's one of those feuds (I say that'd I'd assume it's that way because I don't watch CMLL anymore since they've turned to a subscription service).
