Modern (cartridge) PU wood adhesives have made corner joints on drawers obsolete. I'm lazy, so mostly I just butt joint, or butt with a small mitre to hide the ends. The free-hand carving is quite impressive. The finished item as a work of art! 10 points! 😉 .

Great piece! Was really interested in how you craved the edges of the book to look like paper but couldn’t see it on the video? Have tried to do something similar on a wooden box I have but it’s not as detailed.
