People don’t become talentive or need recognition cuz they pass away. Either Nobody cares or heard of the old Wednesday. Christina Ricci version is the most iconic one. Well unless Jenna keep coming out with her own version then people gonna be running to her version as the best.
I find it strange that the original series was never mentioned in these comparisons. You contrast the movie and the Netflix show, mentioning only once the fact that Wednesday is drawing more from the original New Yorker comic which the show runners have mentioned is a fact. But not one mention the original series that was more a influence on the movies, than the comic was. Which is the main reason for the differences between the two takes of the characters.
That's what happens when these TH-cam things are put together by Millennials and Gen Z'rs. They like to pretend the world didn't exist before they got here. Plus the original Wednesday Lisa Loring passed away not long ago too so this is kind of a slap in the face to her too IMHO.
How do you think Netflix's "Wednesday" held up compared to the older movies and shows?
I loved that we got to see Christina, the old Wednesday, share scenes with Jenna, the new Wednesday.
Yeah, Christina Ricci was like the definitive Wednesday, so having her share scenes with the new version made might’ve been a very surreal experience

I think they made her too edgy for the netflix show but it was ok, I just had to get used to her personality changes lol
