    Isaiah 45:7 says, "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and *create evil*: I the LORD do all these things." The vast majority of Christians haven't read even half the bible, let alone understand it. It's hard to justify how a loving God could play a game with Job's life. Even as a Christian, it really bothered me that his wife and children were all killed and in the end, Job was just given a whole new set as if the originals had no value at all. Especially as a female, it really sticks with you that you are literally nothing. (I'm determined to watch all the videos. lol There are so many)

    • @allan9361
      @allan9361 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes, people claim to understand by simplifying everything to the absurd. The fact is they do not understand

    • @allan9361
      @allan9361 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unless you happen to be her reincarnated. I don't think there is any reason to think that the creator didn't value her. There is hardly any information about her in the story so we just don't know. The fact that she is female is probably because she happens to be Job's wife and the mother of his children not because God wanted a female to die young. She must have been really lovely because God wanted Job to learn his lesson well. If he had lost someone not very nice he would not have learned anything. He would have been relieved instead of heartbroken. So the creator would have liked her. They fact that she left her body young doesn't mean God doesn't like her or care about her. In the real world leaving the body isn't as bad as it seems.

    • @allan9361
      @allan9361 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you read Job and didn't understand it may I suggest the King James version, the first king James version and not a later revision. The more recent scholars seem to misunderstand a lot and their interpretations don't all look right to me. The story explains why Job had to go through all that. From memory I think it is to make the reader aware of a few truths about life and what we are here for. Life is the teacher. It teaches things like the fact it isn't about what you have it is about what you are for example. I am not a big fan of religious books but some bits such as Job aren't bad. It would be a pity to miss that message because of a poor translation.

    • @allan9361
      @allan9361 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That line out of Isaiah agrees with the first few lines of the bible too. It says that he creates everything and when he sees it he says it is good. So that means that evil has it's rightful place in the scheme of things. The creator created it for a reason. Everything is necessary. It was not some oversight. That doesn't mean that you should worship it though. Worshiping anything above the creator of everything results in harm to your self. The problem that hits you sooner or later is that nothing can trump it's own creator. You might be able to understand evil but you can't understand what was before anything existed. The mind can't even understand what that means. In this world evil can get you a long way but at some point you find that you missed the boat and wasted a big opportunity to become more than you were. You see that all the fame and fortune is nothing but dust.

What I want to say is that some of your newer readers, like me, probably have not listened to your videos on the Occult. Some will be offended when they do; but, what you are saying is a pretty standard position for occultists to take. I have studied occultism and find that your teachings on it are pretty non-offensive so far, at least with the most recent stuff. I find it hard to discuss occultism with other Christians because they think that all Satanists believe in a literal Satan and I know that is false. LeVey certainly did not believe in a personal Satan. I just want to say that most people do not understand their own bible so you cannot expect them to understand someone else's. If God knows everything, and if God planned everybody's life out before their birth, then God would know if someone is going to commit suicide. If God knows all this, then God PLANNED on one committing suicide and how can it be held against their soul OR looked at as a sin if the act was COMMISSIONED BY God?

    This life is a test, challenging our abilities to balance ourselves within this realm of existence. Since the odds of accidental spontaneous production of matter, energy, & life are virtually nonexistent, SOME intelligent entity engineered us.
    This being has a purpose for us beyond our known Universe, similar to any part on an assembly line that does not make sense to the whole until it is tested for quality & assembled with other parts to make the final product.
    We simply cannot know yet what purpose we will serve until the process is complete...

    • @ibiza1290
      @ibiza1290 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If life is a test, why don't people start off with equal opportunities and a balanced start to life? If your God is all knowing, doesn't he already know who's "passed" and who's "failed"? It's completely illogical.

    • @michaelantonio
      @michaelantonio 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone is born with different skill sets, & God doesn't want everyone to be the same. That is boring. Yes, God does have foreknowledge, but he does not make the decisions for us. The path we take in our test is much more for US than it is for Him. We are all given basically the same information to decipher, & we must find a way to parse it properly.

    • @ibiza1290
      @ibiza1290 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not talking about skill sets, although that is a factor. A child born with a disability, family abuse, abandonment, lack of money etc is not a fair test. You then say the test is for us, that doesn't make sense. God could give humans the information without the sheer amount of suffering and injustice. Your God is a psychopath.

    • @ibiza1290
      @ibiza1290 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also we are definitely not given the same information, a person born in America is likely to be a Christian, a person born in India is likely to be a Hindu, a person born in western Europe is likely to be an Atheist. These are from completely different starting points.

    • @michaelantonio
      @michaelantonio 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Incorrect. There are Christian, Jewish, & other religious evangelistic sects in all countries. We have access to all information around the world, NOW more than ever. In addition, God only expects you to be responsible for what you have available. So, if you are nor exposed properly to all the best info, He will not hold you accountable. In school, if you are studying to be an engineer, the University can't hold you accountable to understand psychology.

  • @richardwatson6146
    @richardwatson6146 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    "He could be a chaos deity" i had the exact same thought. Another thought that crossed my mind is that the Abrahamic deity could be insane, i mean he supposedly is eternal. How the hell do you exist for eternity and not go insane knowing that you literally have no chance to stop existing?
    But yeah, i think the Christian deity if taken literally would be an evil entity, because before he put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, he knew that humanity would eat from it yet he chose to place it there anyway knowing the harm that it would cause.
    I do however believe that God exists and i believe that it is entirely benevolent, the reason that bad things happen is because we have free will, by free will i mean the ability to make choices within a limited decision space. It is my opinion that what we call God is really a vast system of consciousness, not infinitely powerful nor perfect but compared to us it would seem that it is both of those things, i believe that this reality is virtual and good decisions help to reduce the entropy of the whole system, whereas bad decisions increase the entropy. I think that consciousness being God is what a lot of if not all of the major religions are getting at in particular the Vedic traditions with the notion of Brahman and Atman or the self that is not only one with everything but is everything and also the individuated "separate self" by which consciousness or God experiences itself.

    • @allan9361
      @allan9361 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds right to me. The thing about God going insane a bit problematic in a way but not in another way. Since Eternity is not a long time but outside of time and God may not be a being that could work differently. But since everything is God that must mean that every lunatic that ever exists is God at the same time.

    it's funny how 'the devil made me do it' argument is here ridiculed, while at the same time the notion that 'God made me and everyone else do it' is taken very seriously...
    The concept of God's omniscience is not incompatible with the limited free-will all rational beings have, including the Angels. God KNOWS the decisions everyone will make. That doesn't mean He MAKES those decisions. Of course, you can argue that 'if He created the being that made such a decision, it was Him who made it indirectly', but that's a fallacy.
    Following that line of thought, you should go to jail if your son commits a crime.
    Until the end of time all beigns are potentially perfectible so for us, trapped into a very limited temporal frame, to make judgements about eternal notions is extremely out of place.
    For us, it's simple: i'm free to act in the exact measure of my ignorance of the future.

Have to say I agree with everything you say. And dogmatic adherence to creeds that are not even biblically accurate nor written down. You are right about deifying Satan. And the bible is pretty clear that you ought not to be doing that. And definitely as you say man is more egotistical than God. Which is why I choose God instead of Man, and that's from an allegorical perspective. Reading the bible makes you see what a mess the religious have made of the world

    Protestant christian churches will say that a verse or two illustrates a particular principle, then they'll preach an entire sermon about those principles, give anecdotes that are obviously false/lies, and never put those verses into even the context of the rest of the chapter, much less any larger picture. The consequence of this is that you can talk to a super-Christian and say something about the Pauline Epistles and they may not even know what you're talking about or who Paul even was.

    IMO it is mind concepts/ideas/gravenimages that is unintelligent. My definition of "God" is undefinable: It's a general "label" of communication to which people attach their own projections. Capacity to allow consciousness of source being beyond the three letters G O D , depends upon the openness of each individual. To each his/her own. There is evil in the world not because of Satan, but because we are flawed individuals living in a flawed existence. If god simply made everything perfect and wonderful then we wouldn't learn a damn thing, wouldn't experience anything and there would be no reason for us to even be away from heaven in the first place. The point of all of this is so that we do see the flaws in existence and in ourselves, and with that we can understand how beautiful the grace coming from god is. If everything was perfect then we wouldn't understand how valuable that kindness is.

    That almost threw me off course but Question: "Why does Isaiah 45:7 say that God created evil?"
    Answer: Isaiah 45:7 in the King James Version reads, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” How does Isaiah 45:7 agree with the view that God did not create evil? There are two key facts that need to be considered. (1) The word translated “evil” is from a Hebrew word that means “adversity, affliction, calamity, distress, misery.” Notice how the other major English Bible translations render the word: “disaster” (NIV, HCSB), “calamity” (NKJV, NAS, ESV), and “woe” (NRSV). The Hebrew word can refer to moral evil, and often does have this meaning in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, due to the diversity of possible definitions, it is unwise to assume that “I create evil” in Isaiah 45:7 refers to God bringing moral evil into existence.
    (2) The context of Isaiah 45:7 makes it clear that something other than “bringing moral evil into existence” is in mind. The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing Israel for disobedience. God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Master” (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings “evil” and “disaster.” So, rather than saying that God created “moral evil,” Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture - that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him. www.gotquestions.org/Isaiah-45-7.html

The podcast was allegedly about the recent Catholic sex abuse scandal (and they did talk about it a little bit), but they went on to debunk a Mormon apologist's claims about Calvinists, and they argued, very seriously, that God was great while literally reciting a Bible passage wherein God looses a genocidal tyrant on the Jewish people in order to "humble" them before punishing said tyrant for doing what God told him to do. It was simultaneously gross, disturbing, and absolutely hilarious.

It's a sort of amalgamation of the sensible parallels between the world's religions, tied together finally with the boundary-less wisdom of Buddhism. It takes into account the fractal nature of the universe, how this principle is active in man's existence, and then applies some very sturdy logic to explain the purpose of temporal reality, suffering, ignorance, etc. It's heady but it is not woo woo. It isn't difficult to search for on YT if you're interested. Alan Watts.

    Your very first premise is the same as Mikhail Bakunin, "If God exists, he must be destroyed." Both you and Saul are were a bit presumptuous.

      My bad for comparing you to Saul. Saul was a Pharisee and did not make the fatal presupposition error of "if". Saul was rational Paul is rational. (Yes, the present tense is correct.) In the internal debate of the resurrection Jesus responded, “But about the resurrection of the dead-have you not read what God
      said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living” (Matt 22:31-32).
      Both dead Saul and the living Paul presumed the God's existence and did not insert the conditional "if". Loving something that one knows does not exist is insanity. I have too much respect for you to take your comment seriously.
      The verse you mentioned is right on, and missed by 99% of professing Christians. "I form the light and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

    While your video is logical it is also flawed in that while you make valid points you also leave out that people who believe in their religions and believe that their deity/God is benevolent and all powerful the reason it can seemingly be contradictory is that in addition to having faith that their deity/God exists they also have faith that he wouldn't, I would also like to point out what you and many other people seem to look over is that one of the only ways to reconcile free will and a deity that is all knowing,even a small amount, is that he knows every possible outcome and/or what we will most likely choose. Finally, it also must be taken into account that while he could fix everything if he wanted to, this life is essentially a test. Not giving setbacks would be like giving all the answers to an important test, regardless of if it is harsh of their God to do so. You said yourself Satan and Lucifer are not the same so perhaps rather than looking at Satan as just a replacement name for Lucifer look at it more as the name/word for the part of your/Christians/Jews/Muslims free will that wants to go against God and live life according to our human nature which tends to be greed and many other things that cause problems in the world. Now I understand that while I can poke holes in your argument you can just as likely do the same to mine but ultimately we'd just go back and forth if we were really set in our ways, so unlike most Christians I won't try to persuade you to my beliefs or anyone else for that matter however I do hope I have given anyone who reads this something to think about and by the way I personally think that while your intention (according to the video title) was to paint God as evil it really has a different message and more supports man as being evil as many of things you said have to do with what man does or does not do rather than what God does or does not do, even if you (being the general public) go under the assumption that God is all knowing and therefore nothing is really up to us(which is another many branches of Christianity or at least a few and some smarter Christians have addressed, and one or few going so far as to say God has already chosen who will go to heaven or hell) and on another note I do believe at least ancient Judaism said we were all going to hell anyway.

Also, Styx has read the whole Bible too. Claiming he's "spiritually dead" (whatever that means) does nothing to convince him to take another look at your side and change his mind. And if non-believers just can't grasp Biblical philosophy, like you posited, then God is a cruel tyrant for knowingly creating mankind without the capacity to understand topics related to him and punishing us eternally for said lack of knowledge.

      @@gusgrizzel8397 What is physical and thereby takes up space is composed of parts since there is a degree to which it takes up space. If something is an inch in length, there is a half inch of it, and so on, all extended things are infinitely divisible and therefore composite. The existence of a composite substance means there is a simple substance from which it is made out of. This substance, by virtue of its simplicity, is indivisible and therefore immaterial, since there is no degree to which it takes up space. Consciousness is not an object, but rather is an immaterial experience. You might claim that this experience is caused by material processes, but this is impossible; no process of composite substances could result in consciousness. Imagine trying to build a giant machine that was conscious no matter what you do, you will only get composite substances hitting each other and moving each other around which could never result in perception or experience. Therefore, consciousness must be found in simple substances. This world of simple substances has no way of being affected, nor of affecting material objects. Causation is an illusion; change occurs by virtue of what something is in itself, which includes its relation to other things. since if it didn't have the same relation it wouldn't be the same thing. This means there is a pre-established harmony by which all things change. This harmony is what connects our minds to our bodies. The mind is driven by "final causes" by which it decides what to do for a specific moral purpose, and the body moves according to "efficient causes" meaning physical causes. Simple substances cannot be destroyed; this is obvious because there is no way for them to be destroyed, and composite substances cannot affect simple ones, let alone somehow delete them from existence. therefore, some form of consciousness is eternal and will always remain even after death. I can further specify what this form of consciousness must necessarily be and what happens after you die, but I'll leave it here for now.

    First, I must apologise for any linguistic mistakes as English is not my first language.
    When I read the content of this website, I felt a lot of love for you, though I don’t know you, because these thoughts were mine for a long time, except that they are better expressed in your case.
    The evil god you're talking about is indeed evil (with only a slight good or an illusion of good in him). He is the ruler of this universe, and he was there from the beginning of time, but was not always conscious of itself. It only became conscious when it came into contact with Satan, an angelic being, a creation of the Loving One, which was meant to be pure love. Not, for the sake of ease, let’s just call this corrupted angelic being; Satan.
    Now God the father is love. He is absolute love that emerged from darkness. He was the only conscious entity there was. Evil was not conscious, so was never creative, and therefore cannot become a true god (even though, since the time he merged with Satan, and became a conscious evil being, is constantly trying to prove the opposite of this). The true good, loving entity that deserves to be called God is trying to eliminate evil by spreading the loving consciousness throughout the universe.
    The war is still full on.
    Why God doesn't destroy evil from its roots?
    Because that will mean destroy all creation. God is love and destruction is against His nature. For God, to use violence is to lose the battle of good, is to oppose love.
    Evil, with Satan, has tangled itself with everything, even with what it is meant to be the word of God.
    Everything that points to God as a punisher, judgemental, critical, perfectionist, hateful, revengeful, etc, is the work of Satan. He is the one and only accuser of both humans and God. His aim is to undo the good that God is trying to do (by spreading love everywhere), and spread hate instead. What better tool to use than to use the holy books which meant to speak for God, to portray Him as an ogre and a monster, to spread the fear of Him and to harden the heart of the creation against Him? If God ‘almighty’ was a punisher, why does He not punish the atheist who turned his back at Him? But no, because the maker of the Law isn’t our true Father, the God of love, but Satan whose only concern is to control us and use us against our spiritual Father who lives already within us (The kingdom of Heaven is within). The ruler and king of this world has only one big fear, which is for the humanity to find/know/ become aware of the true real God, (our real and only Father). And that is why, as long as he is in control, the majority will be swayed by him, religious and agnostics a like.
    This is why churches are and always have been the demonstration of evil more than that of God. Where there is hate, there is evil even if they claim they hate evil itself. Where there is judgement/punishment, there is evil, even when judging/punishing evil itself. Where there is perfectionism, there is evil, even if the endeavour is to do good.
    The only true Word of God is Jesus in the flesh (not in written words) I'm afraid. Jesus' coming was the very Word of God. What was written about Him afterwards was subject to influences.
    Please read Tolstoy in his amazing book entitled ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is within you’
    and please, please please, try to watch testimonies or read books of some NDE’s but especially these two scientists (I tend to believe them more because of what is at stake for them to make such claims):
    Dr Mary C. Neal : To Heaven and Back
    Dr Eben Alexander: Proof of Heaven
    In all near death experiences, God says that nothing we can do can be held against us. It is not in God’s nature to judge or punish. The only one who has the keys of Hell is Satan who has always been ‘recruiting’ to his kingdom from the beginning of time and who will take as much as he can if/when the time comes for him to retreat, and even as we speak, he is storing the soles of an endless number of deceived humanity.
    You are quiet right to detest the well spread and believed idea about who is God and what does He stand for? You have a very good sense of what is ‘good’ and what is ‘evil’, so please hang on to that.
    Don’t forget that the war is still on, and if the good has lost some battles, that does not mean that the entire war is lost. Remember, that good is only in love and the true feeling of love. Good isn’t really in the works as Satan and his followers claim.
    May God, the father, the gracious and all loving, enlighten your way, as He is already with you in your quest for the truth and in your war against evil.
    In Jesus name, Amen
    A test to prove this right:
    Try tell religious people you’re an atheist and you will see the love, sympathy and even complete understanding that they poor on you.
    Try show them this article I wrote here or tell them you only believe in a purely loving God who doesn’t punish, and you’ll see the hostile, demonic attack, revealing the true nature of the god they worship.
    By the way, this happens not in Western societies only!
