I've just bought a bottle of this (online) for my birthday, without even trying it first, based on the ingredients eg LOVE oak moss and amber and have really enjoyed Guerlain's Vetiver in the past. . I'm an older lady who often wears 'masculine' or other 'strange' fragrances. Really looking forward to receiving this! I hardly ever go 'out; so I'm as likely to wear this gardening.. just for myself :)
Hi Tulsi! Thanks for sharing! 😊 I love this kind of vetiver and find it very easy to wear.. Always makes me feel good wearing it 😁 Hope you´ll enjoy it as well! 👌
I agree vetiver is a really hard scent to like. It took me sometime to learn how to respect the scent (though i still can't really like it). TF grey vetiver is like the fragrance that people wont like when they first spray it, but after giving it some time the grapefruit starts coming up alongside with the spices. And it becomes like a clean fragrance a professional will wear during work.
This is one of those sold and have regretted it for a while. I missed the scent so much I actually bought it again 😅 I remember it gave me such a cooling freshness. Love cooling scents like this, vodka on the rocks, and Himalaya
Thanks for sharing! 😊 GV is a unique kind of freshie. I like using it for layering as well, and definitely recommend that if youre into layering fragrances 👍
I’m assuming this is the EDP? I have 10ml decant that I’m almost done with. I love it and will definitely be getting a full bottle. I haven’t tried any other vetivers, but from other reviews Grey Vetiver seems to be very wearable. My wife is not the biggest fan. Says it smells a little old manish. She doesn’t hate it which is a plus and can doesn’t mind if I wear it. I agree with everything you said in this video. Great review. Found your channel from a review you left on Fragrantica.
Thank you so much! Appreciate the feedback! My experience from extensive testing is that most women really dont enjoy vetiver that much. ”Old manish” is an accurate description of how many of those who try vetiver experience that note. But Grey Vetiver is, like I mentioned the easiest one to wear and the most mass appealing vetiver fragrance for men. This review was of the EDP 😊 thanks again for the feedback! 🙏
Is the EDT discontinued? I have a bottle of the EDT it’s about 85% full a 2016 batch I’m looking to sale. This fragrance is truly a sophisticated master piece
Thank you! Two completely different scents that give off different vibes! 😊 I would personally go for luna rossa because it has all those different sides to it. It's a super attractive kind of freshness that always works and that most people around me enjoy. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is a great vetiver focused perfume that I really enjoy, but it's a perfume I reach for less. Both work well for office/general use. In the end, go for the scent you enjoy the most 😊
@@rottenrebels Thank you for such a detailed response! I think I will go with luna rossa as grey vetiver is more expensive and I found it a great scent but a bit more on the mature side (It was just a test strip at the store so I dont know for sure).
Hi! Yes, Grey Vetiver is not a strong scent! I get a decent (but not strong) sillage when sprayed properly. Longevity is a lot better though as it stays on skin for quite some time. I've had quite a few compliments hours after spraying it when someone got a whiff of that scent trail. Try spraying more or even better: bring a travel atomiser and top up when needed👌
Can't say this is the best vetiver fragrance but this is the most versatile & complimented vetiver fragrance
Yep. Completely agree! 😊 Grey Vetiver is my most complimented vetiver and the one vetiver fragrance that I enjoy wearing the most.

Another excellent review! Never was my favourite vetiver, but definitely an easy one to wear - especially the edt.
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Totally agree with you 100%.
Love this stuff,I also love the Terre de Hermes eau intense vetiver🔥🔥🔥

I feel like it’s smells clean and like success but at the same time very versatile for casual ware

Hi! Sorry, I have no idea if it's discontinued. Grey Vetiver is as a fragrance is not however 😊
Nice video!!
Im debating between this and prada luna rossa edt for the office and general daytime use.
Thank you!

Prada Amber Pour Homme is pretty good!👍🏾
Phenomenal video!
🙏
It does not last long one me. Kind of a bummer because I love it. It only lasts for like 4 hrs on my skin.

Don’t know which batch codes you have,I have a 2015 bottle and get more projection and sillage than 4 hours
Vetiver is sooo hard to love...
Yes! Not many women enjoy vetiver on men.. including you 😂

Grey vetiver to me is probably one of the easiest to wear vetiver scents ever created.. not earthy nor too ”green”. Just smooth and beautiful 🤩
Can you please review Chanel Parfum, Versace Eros flame & Givenchy gentleman edp
which chanel?

I agree 😁👌
