Great video! Working on a Case 1818 drive motor myself and cant find an answer to this question: how does the roller bearing on the output shaft get lubricated? It is under the dust cover but passed the high pressure seal. The bearing went out on the motor I am rebuilding and trying to make sure the new one lasts. Thanks for the help!
I usually put a little bit of assembly lube in that bearing when putting it together and have never had an issue with them. That is a good question and to be honest I don’t think I have ever had one that had a bearing failure before the seals failed
Thanks for the lesson. I just bought a used SCAG knowing that it has a bad drive motor. This is an excellent video to show me what's in store. Hopefully nothing is out of spec so I don't have to buy a new one. I'll be sure to disassemble it before ordering a seal kit. I'm new to hydraulics, but thanks to videos like yours, I have the confidence to move ahead with any repairs in this kind of thing.
Great video 👍 what bearing is it that does not come with the seal kit? I have the same motor in bits but the seal kit only came with the smaller 308 bearing and I need the other bearing. Thanks
How did you get the old high pressure seal and bearings out of the housing mine seems to be at stuck in in middle of the housing and the large bearing that doesnt get replaced thank you
Great video! I have a scissor lift model JLG 2658e, the traction motor has a fault which is very similar to this one. It's hard to find parts here in Brazil. Do you know if the TF, TG and DG engine line uses the same repairs?
Now my question is if my motor is lacking power and it sounds like grinding going forward but doesn't sound bad in reverse I put in in reverse and the machine sounds good can you diagnose the problem ?
SEAL KIT NUMBERS// I have an old dingo skid steer that I can't find the specs of the hydraulic motor. But it looks exactly the same as this one. Is there any chance of getting the numbers or seal kit number s for that one
Great video! Question...what would be the cause of a ferris IS2000z not wanting to back up sometimes one one side (always left)? Sometimes I can be on a hill trying to back up and it either seems weak or doesn't want to back up at all on left side and sometimes it will suddenly kick in spinning while pulling back on the handle. Is it pump or wheel motor? Linkage looks fine. thanks

Hey your video from yesterday, maybe two days ago, it was some metrology equipment from a family member. There was an unusual tool that you didn't know what it was and asked for comments. I knew what it was, but I could not bring it to mind, tip of my tongue sort of thing. I woke up with the answer in my head this morning. It has nothing to do with machinery, it's for cleaning smoking pipes. The Wood pipes for smoking tobacco get a buildup of tar and slightly burnt wood. I guess you want to pair this back occasionally so you are smoking less wood? I only know what it was because I had one for years without knowing what it was and Mr Pete featured one on his what is it series. I was so happy to figure out what it was but pretty grossed out to understand what I had cleaned out thinking it was a precision tool. Some of them are rather nicely made, but they're not really worth anything. They just become an endless loop of unrequested Father Days gifts. Have a good one
The motors on most these are very similar in design, make sure to mark your plates for orientation and be mindful of the order the seals and bearing are on the output shaft and there isn’t to much else to it

Good lord!!!!! How old is that motor???? Judging from what I can barely make out from the serial number, that thing has some serious years on it!!! It doesn’t come with the back one, though it is a common bearing so not hard to find if you can still read the numbers off it
