I know what you could do, intercessors with breaching sheilds or maby a assult intercessors squad. Ps could it be a ten man squad from unique characters in those squades and maby have the camo painting on there armor as some raptors have that

Nice conversion!! I think you should try converting a Raptors Terminator squad, and make them look like modern tanks, with extra supplies, armor panels, and communications equipment attached to them, to fit the Raptors’ utilitarian vibe
Honestly, it’s a really nice thought that even in a chapter about efficiency, he still made time to do falconing and train a pet to help with his job lol.
I'd personally like to see a kitbash of a Raptor Dreadnought. I know they HAVE them but since the Raptors wear camo and are more tactical in their approach to combat, I'd like to see how a Dreadnought would be done in that style
@@PeteTheWargamerI read the above comment and was going to suggest the invictor, with one caveat however. To make the model fit the raptors extremely practical vibe i think a conversion featuring some additional armor around the cockpit would be fitting. Im not sure exactly what you would use but reinforcements around the pilot cage would look very tactical, giving off a feel similar to WW2 tank commanders sitting half out of the turret hatch. A better visual description would be like a Medieval Bevor, a piece of armor mounted to the shoulders that provided additional neck protection. Except in this case you might mount it to the upper part of the “pelvis” area on the invictor. something like that shielding the invictor pilot from ground-fire would be very cool.
@PeteTheWargamer yeah, but an Invictor wouldn't look as cool as a Dreadnought would with the camo and ghillie suit bits that the Raptors have been known to wear. Plus, the Invictor is kinda silly. I mean, a combat suit with a hand-held boltgun? What happens if you drop it and can't get it back? Really haven't seen any Invictor kitbashes though. If anyone could do one, whether it be a heavily-armed "super" version or something really out there such as, oh idk, a Nurgle-corrupted version piloted by some Nurglings, it'd be you.

As a fellow Raptors player I've been following your progress closely from the very first Kill Team video. It's given me a lot of inspiration to convert and kitbash myself some Tacticool Space Marines! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Love this, as chapter masters tend to be heavy-hitters with heavy armor and weapons. This guy strikes me as the one with his eye on everything, giving him a tactical approach like a tru battlefield officer.

Custom Chapter Masters are such a great opportunity to make the most badass characters possible. If I weren't so afraid to mess up my Adrax model I might have done more than replace his Salamanders tilt shield lol.
I think a cool conversion would be some bladeguard. Potentially you could replace the swords with knives and shields with slab/riot shields as well as this the details could be all tacticool-ed up

It looks amazing! I think maybe somehow adding the camo shroud would help with selling the character aspect a little more in a tacti-cool way, but I think he looks great with or without. I cant wait to see everything all together!
It's been great watching you build up this army, would be great to see some form of game with them when they're done but I'm worried we could be waiting a while for that!
The pose is great. It looks like he's ordering his forces to advance after taking out an enemy with his knife since he wouldn't have it out unless he was using it.. The rifle being cradled adds to that since he wouldn't use it at such a close range unless someone got the jump on him while he was already using it since switching weapons could waste precious time. I can easily imagine that he just stabbed a Tau pathfinder or Chaos cultist that was on patrol, strayed too far from their group, and was unfortunate enough to be in his path.
The idea of a grounded tactical and practical Space Marine army has always been one of my favourite army concepts... My other favourite being medieval knights in space lol.
I would love to see a Dark Eldar Killteam video, they amount of kitbashing you can do between the various Aeldari factions is huge, especially if you want to tap into the Age of Sigmar elves
Nice! I went for something similar with my Dante proxy for my blood angels successor - using phobos armour with minimal adornment as the basis. The multi part eliminator kit also has some beautiful bits for tacticool marines.
About to create a small 1k point army of Raptors for some smaller scale battles of this particular Raven Guard successor. Really cool to see you creating their Chapter Master, something that I may try and repeat myself. Great work!
Awesome chapter master. Would love to see the army on the tabletop. Even if it’s only 500 points. To see them on the battlefield with urban terrain would be amazing.
I think a good way to discern him from the rest of the army (that you can do with all your characters) would be to add a corpse on the base. This lets you add an easily noticeable detail that opponents can see while not affecting the “tacticalness” of the model itself.
I’d love to see you make an apothecary, tech marine and ancient chapter standard bearer or even a shielded breacher squad of the Raptors, as your kitbashing vision would no doubt create something cool af 🤙🏻
More of those cyclone chapter. I added a few from your kit bashing video to my army and they look really cool and everyone really likes them. It'd be cool to see a chapter Master for the them

An idea for your next addition to you army, maybe be some light transport for your Raptors, something la kin to a Black Hawk inspired Land Speeders. And, or maybe some auxilia forces to accompany your marines, a super specialist group like the Lucifer Blacks. hope your well and if you read this thank you.
I know I am massively late to this, but am using bits of this series as Inspo for my own chapter kitbashing and painting. But maybe you could gave given him a cape? But you know maybe cut short. and ragged? Made it really weathered and dirty? Like once it could have been posh but Issodon has dragged it through the mud so often its now faded and has a natural camouflage?
Making a jump pack captain from parts from the Horus heresy jump pack unit kit , jump pack intercesor and other primaris kit's . Using 3 or more kits could make interest captain , sargent or a squad leader . As i could see the raptors using jump pack marines in there tactics .

A little thing to be unique for your specific iteration of Raptors, and with Raven Guard tactics, imagine a hulking great marine suddenly begins the enemy in a jungle EDIT: Plus, imagine him being flanked by a full unit of Centurions
Can you at some point maybe do a community post showcasing your Raptors army in one nice shot together? Would love to see how many there are in total and seing them as a force together.

The splinter cell goggles against the skull mask is a hell of a combination. Really evocative of what you're going for.

I love the cradled rifle pose; looks so natural and confident.
I think it's lacking a shoulder strap, the current pose looks like he's holding it weird since he isn't using all his fingers to grip it.
Raptor dreadnought would be so cool (maybe working also as cargo carrier for his battle-brothers). Lias looks very tacticool and painjob is awesome.😊

Could be badass but I reckon the Phobos Librarian is already pretty much perfect for a tacticool wizard.
I've got some plans to run a Phobos Librarian with some Eliminators so expect to see at least one in the future.

I don't play or paint but I love watching the conversion videos especially the raptors.

Using a kharadron kit for the night vision goggles is crazy resourceful and it works incredibly well! I thought it was a 3d printed head at first!
