@@alexflex2163 at this point in the story Miles sees Hobie as Gwen’s other love interest that’s cooler than him. From the first moment Hobie meets Miles, he tells Miles how to us his own powers, which comes off incredibly condescending. Causing Miles to feel more insecure, that’s why Miles says “this guy is killing me”
I thought spot said that because Miles and his voice sound similar sometimes.

He is feeling jealous and stuff, but I'm thinking miles is thinking that he is an bf of gwen, I mean India spiderman actually says "he doesn't know about hobie" her tooth is there. It's a clear hint to teens and parents that something going on. Or I mean hobie is not dumb he must know about gwen feeling for him and of course gwen only going after hobie becuase she feels horrible since she can't be with miles, her mental state is bad enough, so maybe she going after hobie becuase of her mental state. Or India spiderman is getting it all wrong and doesn't understand that hobie is just a great friend. I mean he the only one who actually cares, and I guess normal, or considerate. That what we learn about hobie through out the movie anyways as well.

That's what I like about Hobie, the expectation subversion of him being just an anarchist stereotype when he's actually a very intelligent guy who knows what he's about and how to make plans on the fly.

I think it's crazy to think about what would've gone down if Miles had never gone through that portal to follow Gwen. Spot would have gone through this same transformation but Miles would have been unaware of his dad's future and would have never saved Inspector Singh.
Fr....also I doubt the destruction on pav's universe was caused by miles? When a universe is vanishing it becomes all glitchy, but when the collider exploded there it was all black matter, the spot caused that, not miles

Gwen might have captured spot actually, the part where she realizes Miles followed her she got distracted and then kicked by Spot as she was almost onto him. Maybe if she hadn’t been distracted she would’ve avoided the kick and captured him, but that’s still just a possibility and not necessarily what would’ve happened

Agreed. I do agree with the statement that these films broke and drove the MCU, DC, Pixar and Disney out of commission. These are the gold standard for animation and comic book films.

I read somewhere the reason why spot was always a goofy vilain is because his powers are so strong it would be impossible to defeat him more so then Thanos.

He's akin to a diet Space Stone in terms of power it feels like(the portals, and in the way he absorbs shit just to throw it, it looks a lot like Spatial Manipulation to me.)
But MCU Thanos didn't do shit with Space Stone and also never really used the Stones to their full potential(I've seen people call the REALITY STONE the weakest)

Amusing, on two levels
This film won the HCA award for animated feature , just like Guillermo del Torres Pinocchio last year. It's still the frontrunner and hopefully it will walk away with a win. The academy isn't very fond of anime anyway. Besides, Kemp Powers, The co-director of this film worked on this worked on Soul. Let's hope it can keep up the momentum at the critics choice awards and pull a Toy Story 4.
