Aizawa being cautious of Light was crucial for Near’s plan to expose light. Aizawa was also pretty smart throughout the show

I don't think that's it. It's most likely because she doesn't want her daughter to fear for her potential husbands safety every day he leaves for work or deal with the grief of losing him as well.
I mean maybe he was just a student like light when they first met.
I mean, cop aside, matsuda being into sayu is kinda creepy. He mentions she is all grown up, so he is met her as a kid, and when death note starts matsuda is around L's age so like 25/26 while sayu is what? 13/14?. If 4 years have passed...he is literally a 30 or more year old man being into an 18 year old girl. Idk who thought that scene was a good idea.

He was the most naive and innocent member of the task force. He trusted Light. Realizing he was really Kira, that he was lying this whole time while killing part of their team, broke a part of him.
2:32 was actually just as much the task force's fault as Matsuda's. If they were a little less condescending to him he would never feel like he had to run over there to prove them wrong.
I mean to be fair Matsuda did spend most of his screen time acting like some annoying groupie even around Misa. And this never stopped even towards the end.

In spain's spanish dub, L's answer is a lot more sassy, he says " y yo que me alegro" , wich would translate literally to " and i that i am happy about it" but is a very sarcastic expression and would be more like saying " good for her" in a sassy tone.

Honestly if I had to choose one of the death Note guys to be together with I'd choose him. L is too unsocial, Light would probably just use me to kill L, and all the others are too old for me. Matsuda on the other hand would love me, spoil me and make me feel happy even during my saddest moments. I would be kind in return, if he ever would feel stupid and useless, I would comfort him and say he is the best of them, he just have to realize that himself.

Marshes is extremely picked on. He was deemed as a drinker, but faked being drunk so he could help beat the Current Kira. Besides, the 2 woman he took interest in were by everyone's standards, cute. Just becauss he is one of the youngest on the task force does not make him stupid. Not only did he agree to put his life on the line several times, but he also (technically) heated Kira. He is amazing
