Auto start stop does not use the car starter so having it on will not have any affect on the life of the starter motor. It is actually an interesting read in how the start/stop technology works. Before the engine shuts off it primes one cylinder by adding fuel and air and compressing it so when you let go of the brake the spark ignites which sets that cylinder off and restarts the engine instantly without the starter motor. This is the same way hybrid motors are able to switch the gasoline engines on and off so quickly.

My biggest issue is the blind spot monitoring is not active under 50km/h on the 2014 model. I'd love for it to be active at slower speed. BMW fixed this in later models, but they say an upgrade is not available.

A feature I like that these apps have in coding is that you are able to "disable" automatic AC when starting your BMW 535i 2011-2015 which was so freaking annoying every time I would start the car the damn AC or Heater (which ever last setting you left it on when turning off the car cause complete turn off doesn't work) would start automatically all the time.... hate it every time.... Thanks to Carly or BimmerCode this automatic AC start up was "TERMINATED" and I was able to enjoy my kick M Sport 5 series again!

i was able to open the menu advanced crash safety module and did only on thing that i turned ON rear cam warning tone and today want to turn that of but i was not abel to open the menu Advanced crash safety module. Quick note Ben, altering the exhaust in all drive modes will make you technically have 1 drive mode as exhaust system is used in eco mode to save fuel and lastly, the exhaust sound you are hearing is computer generated and piped through the cars speakers, and it likely changes a bit in each mode…..

Craeftig unfortunately you won’t be able to code that feature in. This feature only works on cars which have the foldable mirror button built in. It just allows the owner to fold the mirrors with their key instead of pressing a button.

My bmw f30 2013 conects to my phone only to make a phone calls but I can not listen to music from my spotify using bluetooth. Went and grabbed the bimmercode app and the vgate icar pro for a 2019 440i, can't seem to get the pairing to work. Both devices seem to be functioning but I can't get past the connecting screen, no ECU identifying screen pops up. Are you familiar with this car?

Yeah man I hate auto start stop. The delay is annoying, and it has to be hell on the starter. I can turn it off on my jeep but I have to push the button each time I get in the car. P.s. I've never been a big fan of German cars because they are expensive, and way over engineered. But seeing all the sweet options you went through makes me rethink my position a bit🤏🇺🇲

my f11 has a motor software upgrade from 520 to 525. If I change something on bimmercode, will it overwrite my software from the engine?
