Went down to Homer's Records (Omaha's largest independent record store) today and picked up the new Tom Petty four cd live set and the Fleetwood Mac cd box set also. Physical goods rule. Nice post, Brendon. 💯
It looked like there were a nice amount of people at the record store. It's good to see that people still go to the record store and obviously the RSD did draw people to the store.
Fun video. Loved seeing you drive around. I love rainy days since we don’t get many here. Glad you got a bunch you liked. The F Mac set was my fav of your grabs.
It was also a rainy crappy day in Charlotte but we got records! The Fleetwood Mac CD sold out at our store so I picked up the vinyl. The most popular was bing/bowie and Duran Duran. We are lucky to have 2 records who participate and close to each other. Cheers.
Thankfully could order the FM CD from my local the next day, on way soon I hope...gave the DD a miss but was tempted. I wonder what the Jimi and Doors stuff sounds like.
Sorry you missed out on the CD version of the Fleetwood Mac boxset but I’m glad there was a vinyl edition for you. I’m really enjoying these alternate versions of the albums. This box should get a wider release it’s so good!
Glad you had fun 🍻! I personally missed record store day but still had my brother pick up over 30 cds for me. Not bad after all. As always, thanks for sharing this wonderful experience!
I picked up Duran Duran ‘82, the Motley Crüe EP, the Olivia Newton-John “Physical” picture disc, and the David Bowie/Bing Crosby Christmas collaboration.
That’s too bad. But I did notice some stores had better selections than others. Not quite sure how the powers that be determine who gets what. I’m hoping the Duran Duran live album gets a CD release.
Nice , promotion of buying cd's ore lp's . Now you can feel , play , look and listen too it , not the stupid download 's. Enjoy , Remember music sounds better in the dark and a good glass wine on a crappy day . Greetings from Belgium.
Thanks For Sharing. I never get to go to RSD as I work Friday Afternoon's till 10pm. Is it the same releases in the UK as the US? I reckonised one in the shop which I have the dammed a night of a 1000 Vampires at the london palladium. I was at the gig and got the clear record. Also got the new Ruts DC album "Counter Culture' and I am going to see them in London Islington academy on Saturday night.
Brendon, cool video. I didn't go to Record Store Day. Honestly, there was just nothing that really interested me enough to REALLY want it. But I did do some CD buying this Black Friday Weekend though. I got a Night Ranger CD from eBay, 5 CDs (1 Sabaton, 4 Blind Guardian) from the Nuclear Blast Records sale and I picked up 6 Great White albums on CD from Purchase Street Records in New Bedford, MA.
Brendon, I had Hooked on CD already. I got Once Bitten and Twice Shy, upgrading from my cassette copies. I also picked up Psycho City, Let It Rock, Back To The Rhythm and Rising.
It varies. Some are from concerts, some from local record stores in NYC, some are from Sound Exchange, some are ordered online. But if you want a good online store that sells soft official merch, try Societees, see link www.thesocietees.com/?ref=brendonsnyder
Hi Brendon huge fan of your YT channel and find it very uselfull for new record releases etc. Just a quick one does Sound Exchange sell online ? (Am based in India so online stores are the best option for me), kindly do check with Andy and let me know. Thanks cheers 👍
When I left Sound Exchange they still had 2 copies. I was at Factory Records last night and they still had 8 copies. I hope you didn’t have to pay more since it’s coming from Europe.
Your friend is right: they're running out of things to reissue and make money on (just like Hollywood and remakes). Also I don't understand why some of this stuff gets reissued at all. Do people still listen to Rick Springfield?? Blondie?? Todd Rundgren?? All this old cheesy stuff or ancient 70s music that only appeals to a tiny fraction of music consumers. Another thing I don't understand is people dropping outrageous amounts of money on vinyl for stuff they haven't even heard. Case in point: this new Doors album. Cant these be previewed online? One final gripe: the crazy prices some of these box sets command. And so many consist of low quality filler material that enables record companies to cobble together a product and then inflate the price so most people can't afford it. Call me the Grinch who stole Record Store Day. 😁
While I don’t like that they recycle a Hendrix release, I thought there was lots of great stuff. Not as much as last April, but still quality releases. As far as albums to be reissued, keep in mind that it all comes down to rights. Just because an album should get reissued doesn’t mean that it can get reissued. Better luck in April!
What a fun show 🎉❤
Love the Go Go’s music in the background
It felt like the right music for a fun party like RSD!

Great video! I'm in it! Thanks
Cheers! 👍
This was fun with the both of you discussing your experience and choices. Well done.

I'm still planing that some year I will visit at record store in RSD!
Start planning for April 2023 RSD! I know Anthony would love to have you visit!

@@timbonczyk4116 The RSD box set.

Many copies at amoeba San francisco
Cool video!!!! I need to get back to Sound Exchange. Love that store!!! I picked up The Dead Milkmen Metaphysical Graffiti.
Cool, glad you found something for RSD! I’m really enjoying the ones that I got. They all turned out to be better than expected.
Thanks for the heads up on the Ringo. What a great record I knew nothing about! Ordered a copy for myself too.
Cool! Glad you found something new!
I didn't go to RSD this year, but I did buy the Motorhead & Sweet online a day after.
Brendon , how is Joe doing? This ultra cool media star we haven’t seen in a while just checking in on him ❤🎉
Great haul. Great day.
And lots of fun!!
Saw the Dream Widow vinyl in the background!!
Yep! 🤘🤘🤘
Glad you had fun 🍻! I personally missed record store day but still had my brother pick up over 30 cds for me. Not bad after all. As always, thanks for sharing this wonderful experience!
With 30 CDs sounds like you did already in the end!
I picked up Duran Duran ‘82, the Motley Crüe EP, the Olivia Newton-John “Physical” picture disc, and the David Bowie/Bing Crosby Christmas collaboration.
I debated on the Duran Duran release but hope it will get a CD release instead.
@@BrendonSnyder I’d prefer that, as well.
Really wanted the Duran Duran live in ‘82 but it was pretty slim pickings at our local stores.
That’s too bad. But I did notice some stores had better selections than others. Not quite sure how the powers that be determine who gets what. I’m hoping the Duran Duran live album gets a CD release.
Brilliant work 🎉
Thanks David!

Which Great White albums did you get? Was one of them Hooked? That’s my favorite album by the band.
Brendon, I had Hooked on CD already. I got Once Bitten and Twice Shy, upgrading from my cassette copies. I also picked up Psycho City, Let It Rock, Back To The Rhythm and Rising.
I have the hots for that CUre wish release, but the 3 cd's
The 3 CD version came out this past Friday…time to get it! It’s soooo GOOD!
Well done video.
Thank you Richie! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Brendon! Question, where do you get all your band T-Shirts???

Charlotte, North Carolina, right?
Sorry for being a geographically fried.

I ignored RSD this time. I got so consumed my 1st one, it took all my focus away from everything.
We went to four stores. Nobody had this Fleetwood Mac CD had to order it from Europe.

One of the worst Black Friday releases, they even recycled a Hendrix album, sad shit, so many great titles that need reissuing.

Record Store Day repressed it because fans wanted it. It’s a great Hendrix instrumental album.
