Understandable why hes going with changing the block , many issues could result in the OP issue..its a costly process of elimination . Nathi its 9k well spent on the block in my opinion.

Yeah, you can also see from the difference in discolouration on the old main caps, they were not the original ones for that block. It was a ticking time bomb,those engineers were idiots.

I went through the same process, even when called to check the block i saw for myself gore the block is dead and out. 7 GTI yone has its issues, when buying it people should be fully aware.
