Great review! I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago and absolutely love them. I've always tended to air more on the 'rich/bass leaning sound' and these have fit that perfectly while still offering great detail and personally for me the best fit I've had with IEMs. I've tried the Polaris v2 and IKKO OH10, both of which sounded great but I could never get a good fit, seal no matter how many different tips I tried, which I can't even tell you how many I went through. The size / form factor the 300s + their sound make them a super winner for me!
Also 1000% agree on the cable - it is SUPER noisy. I hope they fix this when a balanced version is released or maybe if I can find an aftermarket one that fits

@@SuperReview Actually ended up picking one up from OEAudio (2DualCDC Oxygen-Free-Copper Hi-End IEM) with a 2.5mm balanced ending, just got it today. Seems pretty solid so far, not as loud as the cable that came with but not 'silent' either. There are no back of the ear 'hooks' but that works for me as both the cable and IEMs are pretty lightweight. Overall happy with the purchase, took about 2 weeks to get here.

The IE300 is not bad at all. The stock ear tips have a little piece of sponge in it which acts as a filter. This will cut back some of the treble which can cause sibilance and add some warm to the mid as well. I find the stock tips are meant to give u the perfect sound for the tuning. U change to a 3rd party ear tip u are changing everything. The top treble has sparkles to satisfy treble heads and the bass to satisfy bass head. The mids is ok to me, they have the crispness and details as well. U can’t go wrong with this iem.😊
The foam doesn't contribute much to the tuning, I can measure it.
@@SuperReview I just do a test, with and without the foam and I am glad I can hear differences. With foam, the vocal and overall tuning sounds warmer and more engaging. Sound stage is more spacious and wider. Yeah it does make a different. I don't know about other people's experience. But for me, I like the stock tips a lot. It really fit my ear very well. Mark about eartips. Do you have a recommendation for new ones for the IE600 I like many others can't use the supplied ones?
I like Softears Ultra Clears on IE 600.
Got them for 140$ Amazon prime day. These are keepers because of tonality, of which Sennheiser is known for. No recessed vocals for me if that was the case I would return them. Listening on silicone stock tips size medium gets me perfect seal. Love the big powerful balanced sound with lots of microdetail retrival. These have some bass emphasis, but not so much so as you claim them to be. I've heared much bassier-boomy IEMs thankfully these are not that.
Was there additional coupon for ie300? I didn't find 140 and have been keeping an eye on it.

Hi, the only iem experience i have worth mentioning is blon bl03, can you please explain ie300 compared to it , i don't care much about vocal performance but does it atleast have the midrange performance of blon bl03? and how much of a difference is there in resolution ,sound stage and imaging, my playlist consists of mostly electronic music like techno , do you have any other better iem recommendation suited for this type of music in this price range ? (note: i dont like bl03 for electronic music either , but i like Sennheiser cx180 which is a cheap iem and technically way worse than bl03 but i like the tuning, and i am assuming ie300 is a better version of that)
BL03 sounds better TBH, IE300 fits better.
I am not Expert, but the ear tips it self is the tuning of the IEM? Like if you use other Ear tips compared to the include that contain the tune of the IEM, it will change the signature right?
They have some small effect. But a lot of it comes down to how the earphone couples with your ear.

I will wait and see if I need other ear tip. 😊 I was thinking about AZLA SednaEarfit Xelastec, if I need some because I have some comply, and I don’t like them and I have also some Inairs 3 and but I don’t know size of IE 300, so I just wait.
if you were a video editor who really wants to hear the audio dynamically, if sound effects were important, would you get the blessing 2 or the IE 300? Or even the IE 900 that just dropped. Thank you!

Check these frequency response graphs (and compare to the dotted line, which is my "neutral" reference). They do a good job of illustrating how the differences in sound between the Sennheiser and the Blessing make the Sennheiser significantly more "colored" and probably not great for a video editor.

Purely on sound, I would take both FH3 and OH10 over these. But for fit and comfort, the Sennheisers win.

@@jaxtaylor33 The place I got them doesn't have them anymore, so not sure. Same tips, just different color.
Love these when they work Have had to send back two pairs to Sennheiser for repair (They just send a new pair) because their is an issue with the connection between the earbud and the cable connection. It will start with static and then cut out from time to time before completely dying. The first pair lasted 8 months after using them once a week. The second pair had the same issues right out of the box. I think it has something to do with the proprietary cable Sennheiser uses. I'm waiting on the third pair to arrive.
Yikes! I had that issue with my first pair, my second pair I have not used that much. Hopefully my new $700 IE 600s don't suffer this problem still.

There is this ie300 that cost $70 ish in aliex, there is also the ie900, do you think there is some "OEM" things happening there? I mean something like these campfire andromeda and andromeda S (and some other campfire) that roaming in aliex too, probably too good to be true. Also do you find any driver flex with the ie300? Nice review
I have seen those, I would not expect them to sound the same. No driver flex on my IE 300.

Yes, it can.
What would you rather choose? IE300 or Fiio FH5?
For sound alone, FH5, better midrange tuning IMO. (Note: Not the newer FH5s.)
Can you give me which iem &dac under1500$ best ?

Like the rest of the IE series, these are geared for monitoring on stage. I wonder why Sennheiser made them with such boosted bass just like the IE 400 Pro?
I think these are not made for monitoring, more for music enjoyment.

I don't think so, I can't afford to buy it, and Sennheiser has not responded to my request to review. I heard it briefly from a friend, I like it, but not long enough to say how much.
These are like 200 now so I wonder how they stack up next to the kato, elixer, and timeless types

I just got these. They are worse than my moondrop. That were 100 bucks bro... dont fit in ears well. Sound was cutting in and out for whatever reason. I was over 8t 8n 10 mins they are going back.

I've tried A4000. It was OK as I recall.
@@SuperReview well if you got e4000 or e5000 please take your time. it is 1 of rare iem that grows on you. Right now I'm looking to upgrade but couldn't find good one yet.
Sounds like they are not a tremendous upgrade from the now years old Sennheíser ie80 iem. Any thoughts?
I like them better than the IE 80 Pro I think. Probably not too different technically, but treble on IE 80 Pro is a bit much.
@@SuperReview you mean IE 40 Pro ? IE 80 S has very smooth, non-fatiguing treble. How does the detail retrieval and bass compares ?

Purchased a pair. The cable has to be the worst item I have ever been served, The IEM's are great, ruined by a crap cable. Does anyone know if it's the same set of cables on the IE900 (cos you get 3 with that and could use one on these). Mine have been relegated to watching 4K movies because you don't move much so no cable noise.

I was pretty intrigued by these, but I really don't like recessed vocals. It's too important to me, even though I love full bass. The search continues!

How does these compare to ikko oh10?
Pretty different, I think OH10 is quite a bit better for my preferences. Stronger clarity throughout the frequency range, more precise but less fatiguing treble, still lots of bass but not overwhelming, and vocals are more present.

@@SuperReview Just got the ikko oh 10... I mainly use my phone for listening music... The ikko have some really good bass, it's like having a small subwofer in your ears and it's great for moves, pop, rnb, techno music... They are not an upgrade to moondrop starfield they just taylor better to different kind of music. In some songs starfield sound better and in others the ikko... Just a different approach to music..

I don't think you broke the right iem. My pair just had a failure of the left driver and I think they may have an issue on their hands.

So dissapointed it arrived today from Amazon and the left channel was acting up, got worse over the day and its a defect now. its not the cable i tested that. Will be returing and am not going to get a new pair because i dont trust the build quality. The sound was perfect from what i could hear when it was playing. Got a good seal with the included tips right away. All i need is a good iem that sounds like this one that wont arrive on the first day defective. For this price its unnaceptable.
Woof. My first unit went bad it one ear, heard a number of people with the same issue.

Great Review and it's a good thing that you don't love bass because on the contrary, we ALL love bass to the max. We don't want our ears to bleed due to sibilant on IEMs which you prefer, unfortunately. How about comparing this to Sennheiser IE 400 pro?

I haven't heard IE400, but IMO KATO is a lot better than IE 300.
I believe IE 400 PRO and IE 500 PRO we're released January of 2020 more or less. You might want to check them out and compare with IE 300 (non pro) and KATO. It would be delightful. Thanks
@@SuperReview So I am between the KATO and the Ikko Obsidian OH10 🤔 (both 5 star rated from you). It seems that the Obsidian has a slight edge over the KATO am I right ?
I would get the Ikko OH10 or the Fiio FH3 if I wanted beefy bass. The IE 300s get outclassed by quite a bit of stuff in it's price range and look a bit cheap to boot which is not something anyone would want on a mid-fi IEM.
The only reason you would get these over something else is comfort.
Both pretty good for bass. FH3 maybe digs a bit deeper with the sub-bass, but not all music goes that low. OH10 has more mid-bass wallop.

I don't listen to jazz, but I also don't usually make generalizations about genres -- so I would say they sound the same as I described here :)
@@SuperReview Just a thought. By focusing just on rock you are ignoring a huge section of people's taste. I'm mainly in to Jazz, Indie, World, a bit of Classical and some Rock, though it's been badly recorded- hello Motorhead mixing desk!- so it may help if you tried a sampling of some of these genres when an important iem or 'phone comes out. Rock is simple for most 'phones etc as it has few instruments.
@@sandydennylives1392 agreed! I claim that all music composed after Frank Joseph Haydn is somewhat suspect. Undoubtedly somewhat exaggerated but I get your point and agree. With un electrified sounds recorded in real spaces there is sort of absolute sound/correct sound, with electronic instruments everything is purely a matter of taste.
Just get blon 03 for 1/10th of the price they sound great and who gives a schiit if they get lost, stolen, or break .

Yes, been sleeping with earphones for five years, this is the only pair that broke. You can check a thread of Head-Fi, lots of people have issues with IE300 dying the same way. Not related to sleeping.
I'm among the minority that thinks the Blessing 2 is overrated. Sounds boring.

Sennheiser is basically looting customers with a lacklustre product such as this.
Cheap build, too basic accessories and horrendous sound quality for the price.
For around $300-400, you can get Blessing 2 (which you mentioned), Fiio FH5, Fiio FD5 and Tanchjim Darling.
I wouldn't put it that harshly, but I get what you're saying.
But honestly, a lot of people will like the bassy tuning of this over something like the Blessing.
This is a safe choice for people who don't want to have to figure out which of the many Chi-fi models to buy from brands they've never heard of. Far easier to get this and be able to return it to a local store if any problems. There are plenty of reviews of it so people can make an informed choice.

Don't think so, looks like IE100 uses a different connector.
