OH YEAH, stick around until the end to check out my new lil outro thing. A very cool individual who only wants to be known to as "Leo" (no, not *that* Leo) made it for me just randomly. So thank you Mr. "Leo"
I think its hysterical how bad guys can go up 40 flights of stairs almost as fast as you can climb or even grapple to the top of the building lol I have this image in my head of Blighters just having a group leg day as part of their training to fight the Assassins
@Ropotopolous yeah, but they have to go upstairs through the inside of the building to get to the hatches, and I think it's funny how they go from being on the street to opening a hatch on the roof within 30 seconds lol they activate hyper-drive while they're inside the building
@mg-us7ug ah yes I see what you mean haha. I was just thinking maybe that particular guy was already like on the top floor and just joined the fight cause he noticed the commotion
1:29 I think they can use the trapdoor on the roofs to teleport from the ground to up there to prevent you from just using the rope launcher to get out of fights. 1:48 Ubisoft Quebec just had to put an AC Odyssey reference in, didn’t they ? Good luck trying to master Syndicate parkour, I found it hard to do things like side hops and gaining height with back ejects because of the architecture. But you were the one able to make Mirage parkour look so good, so if someone can make Syndicate parkour look good, you might be one of the few to pull it off.
@kono_dioda87 ohhh the trap door thing makes sense, but whst does that have to do with the rope launcher? Im starting to notice that side hops are consistent enough as long as you understand how the geometry works. The window in which they can be performed in syndicate is much smaller than unity but you can still do them all over the city if you know that window.
@@Ropotopolous Because otherwise you could get on top of a building extremely quickly by just pressing L1 and it would completely trivialise escaping after being spotted. I might need to replay Syndicate to get a feel for the side hops distance, but yes I do remember them being trickier to do than in Unity.
This bloody game. I love London......that's pretty much it. The reason I like this game at all is that I am a sucker for the Victorian era and love the little instances of stumbling upon stuff I've read over time. The atmosphere cooks most of the time. But the music makes it more like a comedy than a tragedy which I don't prefer. That being said, Syndicate BANGS!
@megaevolution1161 i actually love the music. It's like, really dynamic. It seems to change seamlessly and instantly to match the mood of the gameplay, whether that's jumping from a viewpoint or entering combat like you can hear in this video, it gets louder when the fight on the rooftop starts. It's not traditional AC music, but I think it works for syndicate.
Heck yeah bro ive never actually played past the first mission of this game. I always download it though thinking im gonna give it a shot it just never happens. Im sure you could get me hyped up on it enough though! Nice video brother you saved it 🤙 youre quick on your feet

2:28 If u did a pause before leaving EV u would have seen the Red Outline...but...it messed u up . Its okay tho . U r STILL a Master Assassin , that was ALL part of the plan
Look, the disconnect between the atmosphere and the writing is bonkers, but the gameplay loop was fun enough FOR ME, that I did a full 100%, including all the challenges!
Honestly syndicates parkour fixed a lot the bugs of unity and made it more predictable. But it took away what made that system good like the animations and the world wasn’t designed so well for parkour unlike Paris and it took away more of what little control we still had
"didn't know they can get up there" it happens sometimes Im currently playing AC mirage but im not really adapting the new controls so i had to bind them and manually changing into something closer to how older games used to play Out of all AC that i played, mirage and syndicate and black flag are my top favorite I actually shocked myself when i figured those are my top 3 because i figured i would like Unity only to be proven how janky and truly rushed this game was and i prefer syndicate as its more obvious it doesn't have all the parkour and crouching issues that i had with Unity
it's interesting to see you enjoying syndicate. i don't have much experience with either game, but my impression is that syndicate has basically the same parkour as unity. has your opinion on unity changed too, or is there something specific about syndicate?
I know you asked OP, but as someone that played it, I can clarify some things: while this game doesn't have a jump button, instead, having the grappling hook to traverse large stretches vertically and horizontally, it is a much more responsible game, your characters don't have the input delay nor the randomness of Unity. It doesn't have the tight world design of Unity, nor all the variables of parkour and animations, it's a more consistent experience.
@xLeRock Not quite. Although both games share many animations, controls etc. They behave pretty differently. The geometry in syndicate is a bit more tricky to figure out, it's harder to trigger side hops and things like that. Also unitys architecture is a lot more diverse and requires a different approach to efficiently traverse.

loving the editing, was not expecting the ropo replay lol
@fknpandaman that was a last minute adition w the music. Saved the whole video tbh
