It's a slave wound....a curse. I realize, beyond the slave curse, i had to work on the witch(9 ether-magic caster) wound, that our bloodline was not just persecuted because of their skin, but because their were heavenly descended beings with real POWER. Our ancestors were drilled into, that they were nothing, culture stolen, and treated like objects. Trauma becomes locked in DNA. it is passed down and reverberated even now in our current society. So Oshun and the Orishas are not traditionally associated with Hoodoo due to the fact that our ancestors didn’t have the right to continue their ancient practices(which incorporated Orisha)in the « new land » so they came up with new names and used the Christian name for their deities. So if we research the land and spirituality of our ancestors you will see that Orisha and many other archetypes exist. Going back to the root of our history and power is how Oshun exists in hoodoo for me. Hoodoo and the ancient practice is way more complex and nuanced than most believe so I challenge you to research your family bloodline and see what other magik you have mixed in 👑

@@houseofazarh yes I do all of these things like yes nature, water I take a lot of spiritual baths, I ponder on my dreams often although they still don’t make sense about I remember them, I journal whenever I get time which is rare and I love to sing it feeds my spirit…and I love thequeenpo she popped up on my channel one day and I’ve been hooked since.. I just honestly still feel so disconnected. Like from my roots and my culture.. idk how to explain it.. maybe I need to create some rituals and be more disciplined on practices on moon cycles? I’m not sure. I just feel this disconnect like something is missing.. and I can’t put my finger on it.
@@availrichess well I can tell you that I do a weekly spiritual bath, tarot/oracle reading and it grounds me for the week. I also speak out loud to the ancestors to ask for guidance and signs to maintain the bond. This journey is different for everyone but I suggest you add mint to your rituals for clarity and star anise for protection and spiritual connection. I also suggest you do some smoke cleansing, light some incense or a smoke bowl while in your home and when you are done seeing your intentions open the doors and windows to send the spirits out. Tell me how it goes

On my mother's side hoodoo is practiced and voodoo on my dad's side. But I don't mix the two. I realized that many of my experiences and daily practices were actually hoodoo related. You have to go on your own path don't go with what's trendy.
The best way is to listen to what they are saying and everyday take some time to write they are saying down and place it in a jar and during the full moon of each month throw the jar away at a crossroad and don’t look back at it.(the further away from your house, the better)

So in my practice one of the best ways to honor the power of my ancestors is to call on the energy of the Orishas. 👑 But I encourage you to research your family bloodline and see what spirits/energies you have that you could call on to increase your manifestation power.
I have only surface knowledge of orishas. From what I've seen certain things aren't combined. Hoodoo is more about practices. There are no deities. Voodoo is a religion. They use saints kinda as a cover for worshipping of orishas. My family, elders, and other who practice hoodoo don't know anything about orishas. Maybe some rituals look the same. Maybe new age practitioners are combining other elements.
ADOS have multiple ancestral backgrounds. So, actually it is possible for deities of multiple systems to collaborate with one person. I have been initiated by my ancestors and gods of 3 different mystery schools, thus far.

Yes we can always to try to ward off any kind of lower vibration but it is true that certain things take longer to get ride of than others.
