Thank you for the great demonstrations! The videos show knife grips and techniques used on green, straight-grained birch and alder. I would like to see some demonstrations using the more challenging woods available in the US. Well seasoned black walnut, redbud maple and crab apple await. Are there other knife grips more suitable to these harder woods?
You’ve totally missed the point of this series. It’s about knife skills. He could use power tools, axes or whatever but that would be fu*king stupid in a knife tutorial.
Really appreciate this series.
Hey Sweden/Morakniv, much love from Michigan, USA. Cheers

5:29 cut wound - 5:32 Plaster. ...nice series Surolle is the GURU. :)
Looks like he just scraped his finger on the wood during his cut. Pretty common.
I love it. Great tutorial
Can´t wait for the hook knifes
cant wait for u to learn how to spell
Number one.
wonder how many times he cut to his finger until reaching this point of craftmanship.... what kind of wood he used in this?? cool video
This one had alder, previous videos sounded like birch when he cut it.
@@Arzoras You can see the remains of birch bark on the pieces and also the grain and colour is very much birch.
What wood is he using? Does he ever say, in any of the episodes?
Most likely birch
He says Alder
