The man has been sober since the pandemic started and that's a massive accomplishment to say the least. Now Eddie's starting to heal his mental and emotional wounds. I have immense respect for the man.
Wow I haven't
PLANdemic*
Get it right, brother.
Sorry, but that's just what he says. Celebrities are all clean and sober for X days, until the next arrest with DUI and possession charges.
@@OdaVenom RDJ cleaned himself up. It happens.
You do know he's a serial abuser of women right? Like a true scumbag.
American history x was the shit. Dude did a great job in that. If you haven’t seen it you definitely should.
Edward Furlong has definitely seen some tough times, but I’m happy to Hear that he’s gotten sober and maintained it. I want to my comment by saying Edward Furlong if you’re reading this, I wish you the best.
I survived years of childhood sexual assault. I drank and used to numb it all, and my mother told me I needed to get over it because I was an adult now. She didn't understand that I hadn't worked through that pain, so it was still there. Child actors suffer the same, maybe worse than I did, and when they drink and drug, they say, "they couldn't handle fame". And it's glossed over. They might have been able to handle fame if the people around them had protected them and helped them with healthy coping mechanisms.
So sorry to hear that, I can't begin to imagine. Well said about needing protection, unfortunately the money goes to the heads of the family too. There are so many of these tragic stories, but it seems that not much was done to try and stop it happening.
@@rockywatchesmovies I've always been saddened by the willingness to sell someone's soul for a little cash. Especially your child's soul. I know it's hard to make it in that industry, but Jesus. It all fades away, anyway. The amount of power you have to gain to beat the monsters so they don't control you, is almost unattainable. I don't see how some survived.
You didn't enjoy getting laid when you were young?
@@donaldpeterson590 The grim reality and the truth of the matter is that most of them didn't!!!!!
I hope you are happy and healthy now❤
Drugs! What else is new? Phoenix, Hoffman, Ledger, Haims, Belushi, Farley.......I can't believe Furlong's alive...
He broke the line of incredibly convenient departures.
@@michaelwills1926 Yes he did!!!! Now let's hope that he can actually survive the 21st century and make something of himself again!!!! OMG , he also needs to really get back in shape too !!!! Will someone help him please!!!!!!
@@williamvictorian1756 few of us are going to survive the 21st century. But I suppose if anyone can, it's John Connor.
@@sir_john_hammond How right you are!!!!
On the real yall
I had the biggest crush on him in the 90s i thought he was so so handsome and he was a good actor. He killed it in American history x!
Note to Edward Furlong if he sees. Please don’t give in yourself . I believe in you. Though the road is long, it’s not impossible. You can do this. Stay safe and remenber you’re still loved and will always be loved.
You forgot Detroit Rock City!!! Which is one of his best movies besides American History X
Pecker is underrated, too!
and his worst one is The Crow IV: Wicked Prayer.
T2 is the best
@@KEN-1991I can’t hold that over him since every Crow sequel sucked ass. They literally had James pen a script for a sequel in order to say no cause he wrote a Female Crow and Miramax essentially wanted to continually remake the 94 Brandon Lee formula. Atleast the Female Crow script treatment went on to inspire The Bride’s origin in Kill Bill.
That movie was amazing! That’s his main film for me.
So sad, Terminator 2 is my favorite movie of all time. He had so much potential. I also struggle with substance abuse so I can definitely sympathize with him. So much wasted potential on both of our parts.
Sorry to here that, unfortunately for Furlong the odds were always against him I think. I hope he can stay clean and get his career back on track.
@@rockywatchesmovies I can’t imagine being that young, with that much money and people just throwing drugs at you. Of course you are going to party. Especially when you have the addict gene. I’d love to see him make a comeback like Brendan fraiser.
I think terminator dark fate will did much better at the box office if edward furlong is cast in the movie. Not a face mop of him. Me, I will only watch terminator movie again no matter how bad the movie is if they cast the now 46 years edward as john connor.
@@arlenematabalao2791 for sure it would have. Been back the original t2 cast. It would’ve killed just from nostalgia. Terminator 1-2 were both dark serious movies. The later films all seem somewhat comical. If they are going to reboot it they need a dark knight vibe. Dark and serious. Not light, cingey and comical
It would be good to see him back in the role. I think the Terminator franchise is done for now though sadly.@@arlenematabalao2791
He was suppose to be the leader of the resistance
He’s been groomed it’s so sad he’s a brilliant actor well now. Can’t wait to see what he does next.
He is a good actor. Not brilliant
@@kirkhall2099Yet, his only performance before T2 was carrying a box on stage in a play.
You should see him in that movie before and after with Liam neeson and Meryl streep
Amazing actor, I wish him the best.
Much respect to Edward, I know first hand how hard alcoholism and addiction is to get away from.
For me Edward Furlong is the most handsome male celebrity that has graced hollywood 😊
Don't do drugs.
Not leo or johnny depp?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was
That’s hot
Detroit Rock City was a great movie!! Can't believe you missed that one!!
Glad to hear about your sobriety!! I know that pain all too well including the mouth/teeth pain!! April 18th will make 6 years sober!
*Congratulations on maintaining your sobriety Cgill. I marked April 18th on*
*my calendar for you with the number 6. I'm proud of you!* 💫👏👏
@@TrudyPatootie Thank you so much for your kind words & support!! Feel free to reach out anytime =)
@@cgill4269 And thank you for your great memory and reminding all of us about how great a movie "Detroit Rock City" was !!!!! That was a real classic!!!!!
He got new teeth, there's a vid about it
@@sir_john_hammond I'm working on mine too =)
The funny thing to me is how people act like actors aren’t regular people
Very happy to see he got his smile back. I’ve just seen a 2014 film, AFTERMATH, with Edward as an extra! He’s ballooned in weight since then but I’m sure he’ll get his physique and looks back being clean etc. Really happy he got his smile back too! Hopefully things are only going to get better for him from now onwards!🙏🏻
I think some addicts actually tend to gain weight after going sober. They might replace their chemical addiction with a food/sugar addiction. Overeating is at least healthier than heroine, cocaine, and meth. I’m happy he is clean and finding his way in life.
@@eileenkenney Totally agreed!
If only he can now focus on getting everything back in place before all of this awful stuff happened to him!!!! Especially getting his physical appearance back ( like losing about 40 or 50 lbs of all of that fat and turning it into some muscle!!!! I think with the right motivation that he can do this!!!!!
It’s extremely sad what happened to him. The bottom line is he stayed in LA too long working in the “business” and didn’t meet the small circle of “right” people in the entertainment business. I’ve seen this happen, I worked in the entertainment in LA. It’s really dark and really messed up.
Whats so dark about it ?
@@breaks3085 alot of nasty people. I use to party at the Roosevelt hotel 🏨
@@breaks3085 Everything !!!!!
@@breaks3085 Just look at what happened to Corey Ham! and even Heath Ledger!!!!
Edward Furlong will always be that sweet crazy little John Conner boy
American History X is a classic and his preformance was brilliant...if thats the end of your resume, you should be satisfied with your career
He will ALWAYS be a great actor to me ❤
Same here! American History X, to me is his signature movie. He should've gotten an Oscar alongside Edward Norton.
When he was younger, he reminds me a bit of the gorgeous French actor Alain Delon. I'm glad he's still acting and getting a second chance. Sobriety is a lifelong challenge.
You can almost see the switch flip in 2000. Everything about him seems to change.
I had such a crush on him when I was younger
Same!!
Me too!! I was like a school girl when I got to meet him at Motor City Comic Con last year( I'm almost 50),he was so sweet & truly down to earth.
Yep me too😊
I can’t even imagine what he went through in order to get these roles. Now that we know the truth about children actors in Hollywood.
Furlong is actually a pretty funny guy from some the stuff I've seen. I could see him as a good fit for the right comedies as the big funny guy.
Ed Furlong has certainly starred alongside some Hollywood legends!
Mali Finn was the one who also found Brad Renfro, brought him to the den of wolves that is Hollyweird and we all know how that turned out
I would like to know does Mali Finn feel any responsibility for either of them?
@@nickadams2451 Mali Finn died in 2007.
@@EastSide-qc5oy Oh well !!! We all know how her story ended!!!! RIP Ms Finn!!!!!????
@@williamvictorian1756 Clearly not everyone does. She died young from melanoma. No one has any evidence she was in any way nefarious or had a hand in any abuse, as far as I can tell. She was a talented, successful casting director. If there’s evidence she was complicit in anything bad, that would be awful.
@@EastSide-qc5oy I hear you!!!! Thanks for clearing everything up!!!!!
When I was a little kid, I used to think Edward F and Leonardo DiCaprio were the same person….Same with Cyndi Lauper and Madonna
Thats odd. I guess you were young so ill give you a pass
I really want him to write a memoir. He's definitely got some Hollywood horror stories.
Maybe but i would blame it on the times. The laws didn't protect kids cause the confederacy groomed children and had the lowest age of consent in some of the states.
So glad to see him sober and looking better lately.
He was my first crush at the age of 10 years old. I had posters of him from Tiger Beat on my wall as a young lady. I am so glad to hear that he is doing better and has projects. I will always love and support his acting endeavors - good or bad. My fav movie of his is probably Pecker (John Waters movie). Such a good role and he played a Baltimore boy well. :) Love you, Eddie!
He should star in a movie or show with Elijah Wood, Macaulay Culkin, Haley Joel Osment, and Corey Feldman. I just think these guys would make an interesting team.
Pulling for you Edward.
Had a massive crush on Eddie when he was younger still love him 💖
Thanks for posting this video!!😍♥️
You're so welcome!
@@rockywatchesmovies👍🏾😉
Dam she was 26 and he was 13, imagine the out cry if he was 26 and she was 13.
Like Drake dating Millie Bobby Brown when she was only 14 yo.
Sad double standard. The exact thing happens in schools all around. The boy students are considered less victims and more lucky.
I’m sure show biz and child acting had nothing to do with his issues…
he was great in Detroit Rock City.
I saw an interview with him recently and he seems to be doing well, was very well spoken. Wish him well.
when you find yourself "co-starring" with Corey Feldman in a straight-to-video outing, you know your career is over ...
... and maybe it's just me, but I don't think the road back to stardom passes by Shelley Duvall's house
6:30 His son Ethan has AWESOME taste in music, since he's rocking a #DepecheMode's Violator t-shirt! I love it!!! Violator is one of the BEST ALBUMS to come out of the 90s! PERIOD!!!
he was way cute. Had awesome hair.
His character in Detroit Rock City was my first on screen crush ❤😂
“Found himself arrested twice.”
I always find such statements amusing, like the dude wakes up still standing and all of a sudden is getting arrested while he stands there confused, wondering why it happened to him. 😂
You're clearly not very familiar with blackout drinking.
yeah, and that happened twice
@@MorgEllon-ye9pi you sound pretty proud of being very familiar with it
He looked like that Twilight actress.
So glad to see him getting well and rebuilding. John Conner was so relatable we watched T2 almost every weekend as pre teens.
Sending love into the atmosphere for Mr furlong
He's so good in Pecker, great acting and great movie!
heh heh i remember edward in Brainscan, i loved that movie.
Me too :D - He was great in Pet Sematary 2 from 1992 too :D
Best wishes to him i hope he gets more movie rolls.
As a child he was amazingly good actor. I looked forward to seeing his work as an adult. I hope he gets another chance to act in a good film in the future. He deserves it.
I like your narration style
Love him in American History X
growing up.........I loved Edward F........ he was a legend, esp in terminator 2 , omg working with ARNIE would of been my dream but shows how hollowood
can kill a young talent like him
This happens all too often to young actors and the like , such a shame
Furlong was too old to play a nine-year-old in that terrible film.
@@rockywatchesmoviesWhat I liked about Edward Furlong was the movies he got cast in, never seemed like a typical Hollywood movie to me.
I thought he died of an overdose years ago. Glad to hear hes still with us. You know your career has gone to💩 if your co star is corey feldman.
Detroit Rock City and Pet Cemetery 2 were good films he also starred in.
i cannot finish the video, as much as i'd like to. this fast, careless rundown of words is annoying to listen to.
Jacqueline Domac was definitely a very strange chapter in his life.
i hate her
She is a monster, imho.
@@MothGirl007 no, she's a f*cked up human. we gotta stop dehumanizing ppl who do f*cked up things.
I think he would be great as the next GHOST RIDER.... and in CONSTANTINE..
Once a good actor always a good actor he will be back God willing
If you're an 80s baby, Edward will forever be a part of your childhood
Happy Valentine's day 🥰💕 Eddie 💙💘
You missed Pet Cemetery 2!
I really hope he gets his life back together like Macaulay Culkin did. It's sad to see these famous child actors struggling so much as adults. All that Hollywood glitz and glamour may seem like a great thing but it takes a mental toll on children.
Man's a Legend!
There is a picture of him online , standing behind a seated, and similarly wrung out Ron Jeremy that is just so awful. I just saw him on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You channel and he looks so much better. I hope he sticks with the sobriety.
You missed a movie he was in "Pet Semetary 2" wasn't my fav but it was definitely on his resume
I hope you stay well, Ed Furlong.
NIIICCCCEEEEEE!
An exceptional talent
AHX is my favorite role of his
I've been clean from hard drugs since 2018 too, and my teeth are still messed up. It's a small world.
I hope him great success
13 years old! She was twice his age! Dude if this happened to a girl hell would freezee over.
Waaaaah
it happens to young girls every day of the week and hell is still a warm, warm place
Don’t sleep on my two fav movies he did Pecker & Detroit Rock City
American history x is my favorite
I remember dining at a Koo Koo Roo in LA back when must have still been in his teens. He was dining alone in plain sight. No on approached him. Maybe vecause he looked so bad huge puffy circles under his eyes. I'm glad he's doing better these days
I remember the kid " screetching " too much in the Terminator (2).
Too bad he can’t be in any of the newer terminator movies as a adult it would have been great to see him as his character in the movie all grown up being the guy the movie said he was going to be
That reminds me not just Eddie Furlong had some problems but Nick Stahl who played John Connor did as well.
This confirmes what I suspected.
that what hollywood does
He was great in American History X
This is so sad...
Loved him in Brainscan
I absolutely hated the actor Nick Stahl's portrayal of John Connor after this 2nd movie. Edward Furlong betrayal would not have been so wimpy or mopey, or so sad sack, or lackluster the list just goes on...
He 's kindda have that 'Alain Delon," look tho. Such a good looking guy
Sad, he was a looker, he had a chance at real greatness..a certain talent. The system and life screwed many over.
God bless him
Also he played in the movie Detroit Rock City
There is another video in which Edward Furlong says that all of his problems were caused by bad choices that he made.
God bless him 🙏
The point is Eddie is still with us. Sadly Brad Renfro isn’t.
I’ve said he will always be the only John Connor.
RIP 👍👍👍
He was great in the Terminator movies. I hated that they replaced him.
Where can we see The Forest Hills?
Where’s the sound
He needs himself to time travel and have a talk with him
After T2 the film critics made fun of Edward and they were pretty vicious, a bunch of "adults" making fun of a child, they destroyed him
It's not the film critics, it was the horrible woman who groomed him when he was just a child.
Hope hes doing well
