I survived years of childhood sexual assault. I drank and used to numb it all, and my mother told me I needed to get over it because I was an adult now. She didn't understand that I hadn't worked through that pain, so it was still there. Child actors suffer the same, maybe worse than I did, and when they drink and drug, they say, "they couldn't handle fame". And it's glossed over. They might have been able to handle fame if the people around them had protected them and helped them with healthy coping mechanisms.

So sorry to hear that, I can't begin to imagine. Well said about needing protection, unfortunately the money goes to the heads of the family too. There are so many of these tragic stories, but it seems that not much was done to try and stop it happening.

@@rockywatchesmovies I've always been saddened by the willingness to sell someone's soul for a little cash. Especially your child's soul. I know it's hard to make it in that industry, but Jesus. It all fades away, anyway. The amount of power you have to gain to beat the monsters so they don't control you, is almost unattainable. I don't see how some survived.

I really hope he gets his life back together like Macaulay Culkin did. It's sad to see these famous child actors struggling so much as adults. All that Hollywood glitz and glamour may seem like a great thing but it takes a mental toll on children.

There is a picture of him online , standing behind a seated, and similarly wrung out Ron Jeremy that is just so awful. I just saw him on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You channel and he looks so much better. I hope he sticks with the sobriety.
