Clay mate, i dont usually criticise, but may i suggest when you go fishing you dont so muh tension on the ratchet brake, i may save rod brakages, welling a little extra line is cheaper buddy.
I reckon DNA boats or another boat business should sponsor you a decent setup so you can take young fullas out fishing like you take young fullas out hunting #DNAboats
Hey bro kaiwhai was better because it was filleted allowing the smoke to penetrate the meat, smoking it whole won't allow the flavour to get past the skin
Some old timers used to soak the kaiwhai in milk overnight to remove the bitterness apparently, and usually in those type of smokers you use smaller chips those big ones you usually throw on coals in bbqs etc and when you use those stainless smokers they tend to bow with heat and pop the chips off the bottom onto your fish, after you throw the chips in put a bit of tin foil ontop and leave a inch gap around the edges then put your grill in
