[PoE 3.24] 100 MAPS - Meatsacks Scarab Farming in T17s - Prep & Results (60-90 div+ per hour)

- This one was a real stinger. I'm happy to finally present this farm in a full showcase. It took quite a bit of upgrading my character before I was able to pull it off smoothly, but I knew from the get go this would likely be the best way to farm Scarabs (if your build can handle it).
This farm will be out of reach for many of you, but I'd like to think it'll serve as a nice motivational video to help you strive for a really fun way to farm this league. There's nothing quite like the moment a giant train of Meatsacks die all at once into a mass piñata of scarabs on the floor.

Few days in a row i farming a couple of divines for my cocdd inquis, tomorrow ill craft last few things for him and then wanna try this scarab farm, so excited about this

I was doing something similar with my armorstacker and its quite strong. No MF gear though. Recently I've tried going no b2b, but ghosts + eater + radiant storms scarab and it is pretty silly, although probably harder to min-max the tempest as a bow build. Unfortunately ghosts + eater + wisps was a step too far as even my 1bn+ dps character was taking an unreasonably long time with any triple wisp'd meatsacks.
I haven't really given juiced non B2B a fair shake on this, so thanks for the detail.
I had my MFA build pretty much maxed before crit jewels (which are about 550 div combined) and no way I could do this
Way more impressive than doing 50 graveyards with a average of 13 div per hour buying and consuming corpses xx
Thanks for this great vid? Is the mirror phy bow a must for this strat? The real prob is to get a mirror phy bow for new player :3 I have most of the items similar tier but can't handle meatsack I don't know if the mirror bow is the prob here.
Good question. Some other builds can handle this farm better for less, most notable Detonate Dead. It’s not a great farm for bow builds. Phys mirror bow about tripled my DPS from a strong pure elemental setup with a cheap Necropolis bow.
@@snoobae8553 thanks! It seems the phys mirror bow is mostly the prob here. I feel I can somewhat tank the meatsacks before I saw your vid when I was following Fubgun's pob but I can not kill these meatsacks. I am new but after carefully comparing the pob I noticed the item mostly likely caused the dps difference is the bow, so I need to get a bow first. But learned a lot from your pob, especially some unique items that significantly tankier than other deadeye builds :D
As for the scarabs, would you consider the scarab of possession ? Gives rares 1/4 chance to be possessed, seems like exactly what you are looking for.
It can't be used in Back 2 Basics. Already attempted it.

if you don't mind, may I ask why you drop The Interrogation and Summon Skitter Bot from your build? Thanks :D
Sure! Elemental Hit has damage multiplier per elemental ailment on the enemy. We can't shock/freeze/chill/ignite anymore, ourselves. But skitterbots can still shock/chill. It's also strong with Yoke due to increased damage taken for enemies per ailment on them.
@@snoobae8553 yes, I totally understand the purpose of it. That's the reason I wonder why you didn't use it anymore as you switched to Ice Shot. As in your PoB, since you drop Interrogation and skitterbot, you lose Brittle, thus, your build lacks on crit and have to alternate with crit on the gloves. Perhaps, I suppose you want more tankiness, so you do that.
@@huynhhoangly I'm going pure phys to cold conversion. phys conversion is a stronger DPS archetype with the mirror phys bow. Yoke of Suffering also allows pure cold to shock.
Although this strat is focusing on rares / meatsacks, since you have 2 flex slots, what do you think of adding Bloodlines with Monstrous Lineage? That way you remove every normal monster from the map, and you increase the pack size of all the monsters in the map that won't spawn as Rares, with your player quant + glittering, those magic monsters will drop a significant amount of scarabs, in addition to the scarabs from the meatsacks.
I tried bloodlines but didn’t like it. You can try it if you like. It’s also kind of expensive. I don’t think we get much value there. Night and day the difference between a magic meat sacks and a rare one with 10+ modifiers.
@@snoobae8553 so I gave your strat a try, and even though I have a build with really good damage, most of the Meatsacks had about 8-10 mods and were either unkillable or took like 2 minutes to kill because they all had that stupid life regen mod that seems to regen thousands of HP a second, I don't know if I was unlucky with the mods on my map or if my build actually is trash but I couldn't benefit from the Glittering Scarab as I was killing 1 meatsack per 2-3 minutes 😂
@@FangzTV doesnt apply to all buids of course, but if you use a mark skill see if you can take the mark mastery on your tree - marked enemies cannot regen life. very helpful for killing meatsacks if it fits in your build, and most of the mark nodes on the tree are good damage as well

Would 150% divination card scarabs be a good choice fot the flex scarab spot? Which cards drop from t17 naturally?
Enlightened and bottled faith card on Santuary at least. I think reliquary scarab would be better, actually. For some reason Meatsacks are awful at divination drops.

Can i run these maps with ele hit of the spectrum? Or do i need to switch to LA/Ice shot?
I could barely do these with a 400div budget ele hit of the spectrum build. Had to use 1-2 meatsacks per map tops.
i ran 5 maps i averaged 10 div per map without any notable drops.. xD I ran a few more with scarb of adversaries instead the portal one and the loot was insane, unique 6 link explosions and divine orbs, sacred orbs, hinekora lock. Problem was i probably left 5-6 div on the ground because i could only hit up my stash 5 times. My build smashed this as a manaforged arrow inquistor. only wish i could collect sulphite while i do it rip

Hello, I was following the Ele semi MF build of Fun Gun, I have the maximum level items obtainable No Mirror, but I die too much in t17 despite roleplaying maps, I do not have the unique helmet and gloves items that you have, this build you do Can it be done without mirror items?
I was doing this on about a 300div budget pure ele build at the time. As a bow build, it really wasn’t good enough even then. Ran 1-2 meatsacks per map max. Some poison builds and detonate dead have a much easier time on a lower budget for this farm.

It's a good strategy. I like what he did with the Adversaries and Anarchy to block other rare spawns.
DANG, tried strat for myself and with my splitting steel champ with cost of 1.5 mirror and i cant deal any dmg for meatsuck boys, no idea whats the issue here, maybe i need to swap mb for headhunter for buffs, any suggestions guys?
Some of the meatsacks have life regen and or crit resistant. This can be a real pain. Frost bomb for regen and or not overreliance on a crit-based build.
This is an exciting farm for the game : ultra high-end build without mf didn't have that good things to farm but now with the glittering scarab + T17 + B2B + meatsacks makes it interesting for plenty of builds (armour stacker, MFA, any adorned build,...)

@SnooBAE85 is nemeses actually any good when you're not running headhunter or inspireds though?
It seems like feed your hh/inspireds scarab mostly.
(If you actually can run this stuff without HH).
I guess it does add some conversion explosions, but archnem conversion explosions have been nerfed.
Couldn't you go superjuice by instead going bloodlines + lineage instead of stability + nemeses?
I think it's the best scarab either way, as I'm rolling maps for increased number of rares and rare mods, and pumping up rare Meatsacks to drop as much loot as possible. I tried Bloodlines play a bit, but the map feels low density as you know. Just doesn't feel like it's worth it.
i did a few maps of those with my tanky poison FR and yeah... The maps themselves have a lot of annoying/bricking mods and, on top of that, most 10 mods meatsacks have a lot of tank mods (extra life, regen and damage resistant) and it just takes too long to kill them. Not to mention flask siphon just hard bricks me. Rare monster should NOT have map mods on them.
Wish we had a rare mods filter...
now meatsack is abt 2d/each. Im wondering if this strat still working?

I literally brick 1 map out of 2, even though I have a mirror bow (LA phys cold conv)

Just like last league, I built my deadeye to be surprisingly tanky. Also, pretty tight on acceptable map modifiers. It’s a hard farm, indeed.
Marked for death is SUCH an easy mod to deal with wtf

Scarab of radiant storm cannot be used with a map. why i can not active !!!
Tempests were programmed to be ‘extra content’ along with the Wisp scarab. The patch notes stated they cannot be used in back to basics maps.

Ah now super! Invest 10div+ into a map just to get wrecked to no end because your buils isn't mirror tier. I'm so burned off this game. Just uninstalled, I'm tired of scraping out chaos's out of my low investment maps but when I try to juice things up I get destroyed. There's no inbetween path of exile isn't path of exile anymore, it's path of the thirstiest try hard.
Sorry you had a negative experience. Tier 17's are no joke and this farm is one of the hardest ones out there.
So why not stick to a t16 farm strat with a few dozen divines build to get reasonable divs/h rather than whining on somebody mirror investment? Sounds like you have serious mental illness to me.
i tried this for a few maps but i just cant get any hh mods to start ramping, its like theres no other enemies than meatsacks even tho i only used 3-4 embers
if you use ricochet maybe try fortress map, that felt better for me
Try with only one meatsacks and a few frogs first. That’s how I did it.

Lol i did this today for about 20 maps, got only 2 curations and i play more mf gear even. Insane how this is 2nd league i follow snoos strat 1:1 exactly and get barrely 1/3 of his average results. I would legit belive streamer clients are real now. Also rolling those maps with ur regex was id say 160c on avg on each map lmao
You mean hitting anything on the regex is about 160c on average? Sounds a bit bad but not way out of line, actually. Regex is effective. :D
these guys cherry pick a couple maps and then bullshit the data for the sake of the video
