Unfortunately this doesn’t really offer much in way of true comparison of capabilities. Purchasers care about things like size, options, price points, and warranties. Swing and a miss.
Yes! With BGE you do have to purchase separately. So for the same price point kamado joe includes that and With BGE you will have to spend an additional $90. I was surprised to find when I went to film these videos that they also now charge for the ash clean out tool. When I got my Egg in 2010 this came with it and back then I believe my Egg dealer threw in my plate setter/conveggtor with my Egg.
I do a fair amount of ribs and the Primo is looking better and better for me. The only hang-up is the size of the company. Would hate to drop BGE money on a Primo and then the company disappear.
generally like your videos, but this one seems to be lacking info on differences between brands. all i got from this is BGE has a following, yet these days all brands do and have FB groups for all three. if you want tech go KJ. and if you want different shape and indirect/direct cooking go primo, but i’m pretty certain you could do the same on the KJ with the divide and conquer and half moon deflector plates. maybe better comparison would have been equivalent sizes, price points, accessories included vs additional needed to buy to become comparable, warranty, differences in fire boxes, quality build, venting:chimney systems etc. otherwise love the videos and contents. just my 2 cents on what i was kind of expecting when i saw the title which made me go out of my way to find the full video and watch.
Thanks for the feedback. This was more of a high level overview for those totally new to the market of kamado but I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future videos. 🙌
I've watched many of your videos, but this one seems like it is attempting to downplay the deficiencies of the BGE. Nearly everyone seems to agree that the Kamado Joe is the better product today. As for the community of the BGE, the vast majority of the community is fine with people using the Kamado Joe, so I don't feel like that is really an advantage.
Thank You! Everyone a critic on YT. I guess they wanted a spread sheet on the warranty differences but I was giving a high level overview. Haters gonna hate! Thanks for the support!
Short and sweet, thank you
Glad you enjoyed !

Also, Kamado Joe does support multizone kooking out of the box.
It's only BGE that can't handle that.
I have all three and the Primo rules for me.
Why is that? Cooking area?
@@djparra41 very high quality. More versatile due to its shape.
I got a large primo that's round, and it's good, but my xl oval with the heat blocker plates and 2 zone cooking rules for me also

@yourfavoritestepdad well 5he primo is the best.

If I could only keep 1 of my 5 BBQ's it would be the Primo.
Sense of community… we’re here for the food….

This wasn’t helpful at all.
