Great video guys. Mr. Samara, so proud to have purchased a komado from your company. My Primo Oval XL is such a pleasure to use. Have had for 8 years and I know it intimately and always look forward to using it. You are a fine American. Thank you for keeping production in USA.
I have had my Primo for years and still love it. Not a single issue other than the slightly warped cast iron firebox grate. I use it all the time for all temps.
Very nice video! Remarkable how everywhere I see Kamado Joe owners being loud about how much better it is than a BGE or Primo etc, wonder how many have seen this.
I've had both the Kamado Kamado round cooker and the Primo oval XL and can honestly say that the Primo is by far the better of those two. I highly recommend Primo.
Thank you ! This is why I don't trust any other Kamado grill companies grills ! My Primo Round Kamado 773 is 10 years old and still looking great and is the best investment for me . I recently updated the Control Tower kit ! It's well worth the cost and makes temperature settings much easier , looks good and keeps the water out . I still do the recommended clean burn and the grill comes out like the first day I got it ! Thank you for making the best products and also made in the USA . I wish I could help make them in your factory . Awesome experience and , Thank you for the tour of the assembly line . Primo Kamado grills are the best Kamado grills and I love mine . Peace out ! ✌️😎
Mr. Samara, It was great to talk to you over the phone this week, thank you for this video. I am getting rid of my Kamado Joe in order to get a Primo XL Oval. I have had my KJ for 7 months and have had nothing but problems with it. I am buying Made in America thank you again for making the Primo here in America.
I understand that George sold the company, the question I have is should I wait for upgrades to the unit or do I purchase the xl400 now. I was told by a retailer that the back hinge and grill grates are going to be changed.
Looks like a vision kamado that melted and its Made in China. BGE was still in full shape, but the Kamado Joe was melting and disforming. Prismo for the win...
Have had a Primo XL Oval in AU for 8 years and it is the best. Am originally from Atlanta and it was a bit of home for proper Southern BBQ…. Amazes my Aussie friends.
LG300 owner, UK. Did my research, these are better than KJ, BGE, Monolith. I found a supplier here that put together a package with accessories and a table for a better price than the competition. I love it when BGE owners especially ask about Primo. I point to the stars and stripes... it's the home of BBQ, why would you buy one from Germany or Mexico!
Love my Xl Only thing i would change is the top vent cap time for an update, need to be able to keep your position after opening and keep the rain out Some aftermarket ones available but would be nice to buy direct
My friends all have their own BBQ Grills , they are always wanting me to do all the grilling . I pretend that I am deaf and can't hear them . 😁 I tell them , make your own . I even gave some of them , BBQ Grills , and they still won't use them . Hate to be selfish , but this Primo Kamado is mine . 😉
Hi guys, i have a Primo large 300 and I'm happy with it, I'm thinking in the future to get a large oval but I'm cain of scare that this new ovals needs more charcoal loads than a regular or non oval oanes
hi guys, I have a large round Primo 300 grill, when I'm doing burgers or small pieces of meat I'm having this issue with flames every time I open the lid as the charcoals become like a lake of fire and burn the meat very bad even if I close the lower air control completely, what I'm doing wrong, do I have to much charcoals inside the grill or what ???? thx a lot
Mr Samaras, When long ago i did research on this type of cooking , i spent hours and days researching which one to choose. After many years (10 i think) , It truly is an amazing grille and i have virtually have cooked just about everything imaginable in your vessel. I have educated many through the years about your grille and techniques i have picked up through the years and still to this day im as happy as the day we received this grille. Had some minor issues, but your excellent customer service has replaced the parts without hassle. Hopefully i will get another ! 10 years +++ out of it. Thank you for your great product and great video to see how mine was made . Go USA & PRIMO!! Regards, Rene Briones . Sarasota, Florida
I have no dog in this fight, but ive had a Big Joe for a few years now and use it regularly. Im fairly close to the ocean but havent had any issues with rusting with any hardware, although it is kept in a not-so-well sealed garage most of the time. it looks like a Joe that was partially melted, but ive had no issues with mine, and i do plenty of high temp grilling. the Joetisserie is an awesome accessory, also. There's a bunch more accessories that i still want. Great product in my opinion.
Primo Grills needs to learn about customer service. It has been impossible to reach them to ask basic questions about their product. I tried your Face Book page. I tried emailing, leaving message through your website but weeks and months have passed without any responses. Komodo Joe company has answered all the questions I had. It’s not a confidence builder when a company does not respond to inquiries. Will the customer service be just as bad when you pay $1400 for a grill and need parts replacements?
iT IS INTERESTING TO WATCH START TO FINISH! "" Wow' and IT'S MADE IN THE GOOD OLD USA!! Thanks I loved the video and sure would like to win one! Thank you very much for your giveaway!!
I do too, had it for a decade now. That being said I would look hard at the Primo if I needed to replace my egg. So far the egg is flawless and has been disassembled and moved a few times. At the end of the day those of us who cook with ceramic kamodos share a common interest so I don’t knock any other brands unless they are truly terrible (like that melted vision).
You do know that kilns typically reach over 2,000 degrees, right? Primo grills are great quality but I don’t think that’s a real life problem. The hottest these things will get is 700 degrees or so. That being said, I wouldn’t buy the one that melted.
Nice grills but just get a Weber Summit Kamado and don’t worry about ceramic failure. This guy reminds me a bit of Marcelo Bielsa. Great joke about the Costco warranty !
Great video. BUT, when I did my research, I found issues, particularly with the warranty and customer support. Hope they get those issues resolved, because I would hope an American made product would be preferable to a foreign made product. My fear is that if those issues aren't resolved, they will go out of business and I'll have a grill with no way to get replacement parts. I made that mistake with my Bayou Classic ceramic grill, a very good product with outstanding customer support but sill went out of business. I won't make that mistake again. Do your research before you buy!
@@JT_life2022 thanks...yeah that is terrible. didnt even know that was possible with ceramic. I have a big Joe, so im not exactly ecstatic about these results. It's about 3 years old and no problems so far.
@@turtlepowersf Not sure why you would have any anxiety about a Kamado Joe... unless you intend to stick it in a commercial firing kiln and try to melt it???? The kiln part of this video is good showmanship but not something that is an issue in real life. Have you seen a bunch of comments and videos about ceramic grills melting? I didn't think so.
@@tvideo1189 not sure where you read I was suffering from anxiety from this video.....either way, it seems the Big Joe I paid top dollar for does not use the absolute best ceramic. Aside from the melting in the kiln, it COULD mean that the ceramic is more likely to crack or get damaged in some way under regular use. I already have a hairline crack in the fire ring that holds the firebox panels, maybe this would not have happened with the green egg. At the end of the day I'm still happy with my purchase, so no need for you to put words in my mouth.
As mechanical engineer, it’s nice to see the behind the scenes of the manufacturing process. Thanks, George!

We already know who’s best.... (we need accessoires..., rotisserie for 200, 300 and 400.. Please?) 😊
Is there any rotisserie out there that will fit the leg oval
I have had my XL Primo for 6 years and just love it. I would not buy any other brand.

Great job on a great product. My wife bought me a Primo LG 300 as a surprise 3 years ago and we love it!
Got a primo 4 months ago or so, really good... one regret... I bought the large round but I should have bought the oval XL... really good product!

I am also looking into the g420 but some of the reviews seem to think that the unit metal parts rust any upgrades to the metal used?
Saving up money and waiting for my Akorn to rust out so I can justify getting a Primo
Will never part with my oval xl .. love cooking/smoking on it!!

Primo will be my first ceramic grill, cannot wait!!!
Awesome! We can't wait for you to get started on it! We hope you love it❤️
Looks like the BGE and Primo have the best ceramic quality.
Well, that made choosing my new grill easy
You won't be disappointed. Why would anyone go round over oval?! :-)
I love my 400. I wish they made a bigger one. But they need better stainless steel hardware and accessories that don't rust out.
I agree! I've had my Oval XL for years, but would buy a brand new one if I could get it SS hardware.
The grate design could be better. Especially the drip pan holder. It rusts out and can’t seem to handle the heat.
