I always had a soft spot for Zarbon, probably because he's the first bad guy that humbles Vegeta. It's pretty nice that he can revert back to normal form in this game, it's a bit weird that he couldn't in some past games.

Funny enough it does feel like a lot of the Z portion of characters got a lot more work put into them than a lot of the super characters. I feel they kind of constrained themselves a bit too hard without having super customization. It's pretty tough trying to represent a character with 2 defensive moves, 2 offensive moves and a ultimate. Even more so if you want a useable moveset.
yup! the thing is hopefully we'll get either update or alternate attires that ADD or change a blast 2 and a ultimate , per example , no shoulder armor or lower armor namek vegeta : blast 2 should of been: either keep the galick gun or add the final crash ( blast used against recoome, and add the genocide breaker ( move used to kill jeice) and finally add the full powered galick cannon blast used on final form frieza that got kicked away!
With 182 characters, adding customization for launch would've been insane. Even just 1 additional move per character would be another 182 moves to design, program and animate, unless you just want a bunch of generics. That's something they can add later with costumes.
*Monster Zarbons rush attacks are so good* Also it took them 30 years to finally get Monster Zarbon a anime accurate model. In past games he had a "strong man build" (rectangular shaped) Now his body here has a more built upper body area (dorito shaped for lack of a better word)

While this game is definitely more pleasing to the eye, faster-paced, and modern, it lacks both what you called "enemy feedback", dramatic hit stops and, more in general, proper camera action. Almost as if the team was a beginner, and I doubt it. It's a shame because it won't help the game's longevity once the hype is over Look at Dodoria's ultimate, or Zarbon's transformation: they either lack the right perspective or are too instantaneous. And the explosions distract from the actual action
Zarbon's is a Beam Ultimate but it's one of the best Beam ultimates in the game One of the few with a rare unique cutscene. And a good looking one at that. Really visually devastating to look at that shot of the opponent inside the beam in a way that most beam ultimates aren't.
Zarbon's dance is really, really cool, and Dodoria's ultimate is a creative volley. One thing kind of irritating about transformed Zarbon's super rush and Ultimate is that they start off the same way, with a knee to the gut followed by a slap. He DOES do that in the fight with Vegeta so I see why it's there, but I feel like it could have been different.
I feel that Zarbon Rush and Ultimate having those weird shots are because the ESRB told them to censor it and instead of changing it, they just change the shot to not actually show the character getting beaten the shit out
I’m kinda disappointed that sparking zero didn’t do what they did in raging blast. Where you can customize what ever moveset you want for the characters you pick .
In sparking zero the only 2 characters that can customize their movesets are android 18 (if you use the buu saga skin she substitutes her full power energy wave with the kienzan / destructive disc) and goku super (if you use the power pole acssesory on him, goku gets a rush super with the power pole) but besides those two we can not customize characters movesets, in hope that with future dlcs the developers changes that.
It’s odd too since I believe the first story mode fight has a super kamehameha ultimate for Goku Early while using the Turtle school outfit, which is really strange that it isn’t available anywhere else in the game

Man i love Base Zarbon You got to a core problem with presentation this time again A lack of effects to sell the impact and force of hits. If they don‘t linger (which only happens a few times), you get feedback from the opponent (like with the slaps here, which are good) or there‘s an explosion…the hits just kinda happen, and there‘s nothing to indicate whether they‘ve been strong and effective. In fact most punches and kicks seem pretty weak, as do these headbutts.
I don't get how they gave so many characters white auras instead of the ones they actually had in the show. Dodoria and Zarbon had blue ones like Vegeta.
Still think they should have kept the same specials from bt3 into this game or they should have let you change the special move like in some of the Naruto games
