Funny how so many years ago you had Roshi's Max Power Kamehameha on the Top 10 worst in Tenkaichi 3 and here you are calling it one of the best now. It really shows just how much things can change with new content.
It always warms my heart when Roshi is included in games. I was stupid happy when he was added to FighterZ, and it was part of why I liked BT over Raging Blast since it had all the WEIRD non-serious characters or OG Dragon Ball characters that didn't stuck around as fighters in Z. We'll always have Krillin and Yamcha hanging around and I wouldn't want it any other way, but Roshi needs to be in more games.
One thing to mention is that Krillin's Ultimate IS a Volley, so you have to hit EVERYTHING to trigger to final part and, as always, you can mash Vanish to escape Volleys. Guess how much damage Krillin loses because of this Blunder? Yeaaaah, don't ever use Krillin's Ultimate, it's a waste. Anyways, all three of them are good, Roshi got an Upgrade from BT3 too, where he no longer has a Generic Rush Attack and instead has the Correct Ultimate. And yes, it does have a Special KO Cutscene, one of three in total for the game. The other ones are SSJ1 Goku (Mid) and SSJ3 Goku (End). EDIT: Also, to be fair, when Yamcha used the Spirit Ball, the one time he hit Shen(Kami) with it, he hit him from the Ground upwards, so if anything, it's correct the attack ends like that. I don't even remember Yamcha hitting any other henchmen with it downwards, not even on Movies or Filler. But I can see why it's weird, it makes it too similar to Goku's(Early) Spirit Bomb.
@@hypn0298 No, there are only 3. You can repeat all those 3 for the achivement. If they planned 20, only 3 made it in. I tried, my man. I tried every attack that could have a Special Finish and only those 3 have it.
That is a strange mechanic. I'm not sure how possible it'd be but it'd be nice if maybe they could patch it to have the giant Kienzan show up still and have light homing properties. Like just imagine how frightening that would be to the opponent. They think they're out of the woods but then they see the cutscene and now they have to be mindful to avoid the giant Ki disc. Or of course, maybe just nerf the vanishing because honestly it is stupidly easy to trigger and as someone who already kind of hated just dealing with that nonsense with the CPU in the past? The fact it's more frequent now really irks me.

Honestly I was never the biggest fan even before SZ. He was always just an okay character in the franchise imo. But Sparking Zero made me hate seeing him in general
I like Roshi having the full Kamehameha motion but there's something about it in the game that makes it look weird, maybe he doesn't streches his arms enough? At least it's good to have the Mafuba now, not because of something about being stronger than lighting surprise, I just like that he has another rare technique in his moveset. Also as you said Yamcha (and the others) moveset is solidified by years of different DB games but I kinda wished his ultimate had very good tracking to make him more unique (although I guess for a 3 DP character he already has good enough tools and he already has insta-spark that also gives him buffs, making his ultimate more common). I kinda wish Krillin ult involved tracking when it becomes a cinematic to make him have a bit more of DBS like Roshi had with his ult. But that's a very small issue and assuming for his spread energy wave fast animation he probably was made early in development.
It still is funny to me how these barely have any representation roster-wise. I get it, they don't transform. But I would be so happy about a Krillin (Kid) and a Krillin (Super). Also their moveset is an old reliable.
Roshi's Lighting attack feels more like a regular beam than, you know, actual lightning, that's a disappointment. As for the Mafuba, it better seal the opponent in the bottle if it KOs, otherwise it's wasted potential.
Roshi really got an upgrade just thanks to Lightning Surprise now being a Super though it could do with maybe a few more twitches after the attack to sell the impact. Full Power is good too but... okay I'm gonna be honest, I don't really care for his Ultimate. I think it's neat that now unlike BT3 it has something to separate it from his Super but it's still just two Kamehamehas and the speech is a little too specific to the scene. Honestly, I think it would be better if his Ultimate was based on the beatdown he delivered to Freeza's men in RF and ended with the one-handed Kamehameha he did when he was interrupted except of course here it'd be intentional. That way Roshi gets to have his martial arts prowess be at the forefront and he has a nice blast ending. Yamcha's pretty good just minus the Ultimate though in this case, I like what they're doing but don't like that the explosion is so tiny and just how it's paced. It feels a bit too much like it's just a Super. Good ol' Kuririn doesn't disappoint though unpopular opinion, I do kind of wish we'd maybe get something to replace his Scatter Bullet. I know it's one of his more distinctive moves but I don't know, I feel like there are opportunities for a good rush. Ultimate though is real cool.
Roshi keeping his speech from the anime, I love it.
Yeah I loved that! They took the best parts of it too.
I kinda like how Yamcha's Spirit Ball launches the target up in this game, simply because it's a nice little switch up.
I always thought that it was a call back to when Yamaha first used it on Kami and how it hit him straight up
it was like that in BT3 too
I miss how you could actually control it
Also bring back loading screens
And it’s kinda reminiscent of the smaller spirit bomb, where it hits and sends the person up and explodes, it is called spirit ball after all

There are more than 3 special finishers I’m pretty sure cuz there is a trophy/achievement to view like 20 of them.

That was the only time Yamcha used it in canon unless you count the OVA with Tarble
I’m glad they made Krillin’s Destructo Disc accurately useless.
After playing PvP, Roshi gives me PTSD whenever I see him 💀

Nice, I play as Master Roshi sometimes on Sparking Zero
Work hard
Study well
Eat and sleep plenty
Would have been cool if at the end of Roshi's rush, he planted his staff in the ground and jumped off firing a Kamehameha down like he did in RoF
Honestly you could do themes for this videos from now on. This was a cool concept.
Spirit Ball launches up because that was its big moment in the series where it made Yamcha the first person to injure God.
Krillin, aka Krill-HIM! That man is 1/4 of my favorite DP squad, alongside Early Goku, Early Piccolo, and Base Sword Trunks.
Fave character in the game

Roshi lowkey has the best moveset aside from some of the most popular. He has a good transformation too…(I’m talking about the form)

I miss the headbutt with the wolf fang fist
Yamaha didn’t have a kamehameha he has a kamehamehe
you forgot to cover his unique grab against Tenshinhan.
(Editors note: It was actually a modded prank this whole time, I'm a dummy.)
Who has an unique grab against tenshinhan?
@angeljulioogandomejia1035
Jackie Chun

It does, he even puts a cork in the tiny bottle he brought like he does in the ToP.
The lightning attack should have ended with a flash of bright light like in Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
I like how Yamcha doesn't have a single move from Z.
What new moves did he get in Z?
@NovatoEx exactly
Only real ones know the real name of the Kamehameha
Turtle Destruction/Devastation Wave
Can you make raging blast 2 videos
For what?, is an old game.
It would have been really cool if master roshi pronounce the Kamehameha to it's original sound
I remember when his max power kamehameha looked like the x100 big bang kamehameha

Worst kid goku ever
Mafuba is better
Krillin has by far the worst ultimate. I only managed to land it properly once. You can block it mid combo. It's horrible
